Stable, but malware needs improvement and customer support is poor
They need to improve the malware in the product. I am not satisfied with Clearswift because of the lack of customer support. The support is poor, the supplier takes a lot of time and it's expensive. We have some issues here when I contact the supplier, it takes a lot of time for them to get back to us but there's no solution. I am now looking at Symantec as a possible alternative.

Centralized protection has transformed email security and incident investigations by reducing false positives and improving behavioral threat detection
The challenges include the challenge of finalizing a product that has all the security features or capabilities that are usually required. For example, if there is an EDR platform that's just monitoring IDS signatures, it won't be as beneficial as one with behavioral monitoring and other critical aspects required according to the best practices of the industry. Additionally, if there is a product that can provide a centralized view Trend Vision One does, it really grabs the customer's interest because customers usually don't have to buy separate EDR, XDR, or SIEM solutions or a console for their SOC analyst or email security team. These challenges consist of managing multiple teams and products. Trend Micro Email Security comes in and solves these problems.Trend Micro Email Security is generally a bit more difficult to implement compared to the rest of the solutions such as network security modules or EDR modules, which are much easier. Trend Micro Email Security has some complexities in implementation, but there aren't any significant shortcomings that require Trend Micro to improve.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"A stable solution."
"We use a few features for web proxy, and another feature is the email content filter and malware for our internal policy in the email content."
"Ability to create your own content-filtering policies with relative ease."
"Go for it! I think it's an excellent product with great technical support."
"Trend Micro Email Security has positively impacted our organization by improving security, effectively reducing phishing, spam, and malware attacks, and saving time by automating email threat detection and filtering so our team can focus on more important security tasks."
"The technical support is good."
"Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] has impacted my organization positively, and after implementing it, we noticed certain things which were missing, especially with the virtual analyzer, such as sandboxing and email continuity, then more on the plain text verifications and large emails."
"Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] is a money-saving solution, protecting the company data and the company employees, so I think it is saving money."
"Trend Micro has inter-domain security features that solutions from other vendors like Forcepoint lack."
"The product is quite strong, and that is one reason most clients are replacing their existing email security solutions with it."
"It is mostly stable."
"Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] provides visibility into email-based threats through reporting and alerting, which helps us identify attack trends and respond proactively."

Cons

"I am not satisfied with Clearswift because of the lack of customer support."
"FTP server and TRUST Manager functionality."
"Malware needs improvement."
"For improvement, the report part needs much improvement. It is a bit complex for some users."
"It was crucial because if remediation can be done in one or two clicks, in Trend, we have to do at least eight clicks to achieve the same result."
"As a SOC analyst and from an enterprise security perspective, Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] is already strong. However, I would focus on improving visibility, detection tuning, response automation, and identity-based BEC protection, rather than simply adding more blocking rules."
"There is room for improvement in mobile device management. The company also needs to work on pricing because it is quite costly compared to other products."
"The customer support for Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] is the most lagging point that I am currently experiencing."
"It is a bit expensive than the market price."
"The solution's interface, which we get from an admin perspective, sometimes gets confusing."
"Trend Micro Email Security is generally a bit more difficult to implement compared to the rest of the solutions such as network security modules or EDR modules, which are much easier."
