Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Daily orchestration of complex ai workflows has boosted my research and automation capabilities
Orchestration primarily decides which agent handles which part of a task and manages errors, retries, and complete state while maintaining the workflow effectively. On the orchestration side, branching, looping, and human approvals support non-linear workflows in production environments with real-time access. Through refined and improved prompts, this helps in closing the loop with actual users. One unique feature that stood out is that every step in the workflow can pause or recover from failures. Instead of finishing the entire agent in one go, this approach is interesting because if there is a minor change in a previously completed step regarding the state, I can re-edit and restart from the beginning. This is truly impressive.

Document processing has accelerated contract reviews and enabled rapid development of AI-driven supply chain solutions
With regard to security, compliance, or governance features in Azure AI Foundry, this is something that we have started looking into, primarily using Microsoft Purview for our governance, data governance. There is this new module called DSPM for AI, and we are exploring it while trying to operationalize it with different policies and so forth, but we're still not where we want to be on the governance, AI governance side. It's a process and a path, and we are trying to work through that right now. Azure AI Foundry can be improved from the governance perspective, as a lot can be done. The promising part is the recent announcement on the Foundry control plane. A couple of days back, there was an announcement regarding it bringing in some of the gaps that were on the platform, so it's a really positive direction in terms of where it's going. More governance is what is lacking, but the control plane will really play a big role there.

"Automation Co-Pilot helped increase productivity."
"The universal recorder along with the Excel basic and advanced packages has been highly valuable."
"It gives us the capability of leveraging our investments in different applications. I can use Automation Anywhere to tie a number of applications or processes together, without having to do in-depth coding to automate something."
"I appreciate that Automation Anywhere is so user-friendly, and currently, our team is learning Power Automate and migrating some of the processes as we go."
"Automation Anywhere receives high marks for its ease of use."
"Automation Anywhere helped us to reduce the work time on data operations."
"None of the commands are unique to Automation Anywhere, which allows beginners to leverage external knowledge."
"Productivity has really skyrocketed."
"Glean Platform offers excellent user interface design and integration capabilities with other platforms."
"Life became so easy when we started using Glean Platform."
"The major impact that I have noticed is how business users are now being impacted and they are using the platform because they understand it easily."
"Since I have joined, I have built around ninety agents with Glean Platform, and it has saved our organization around twenty-seven hours a week for each user, and it has also positively impacted our ARR."
"The best features Glean Platform offers include the ability to create my own agents, for example, I created a self-service agent for my stakeholders, so rather than email me, I sent them a link to an agent where the agent asks them questions and drills down to exactly what they need, and then I get a qualified response from them."
"Glean Platform has positively impacted our organization, especially in terms of productivity for both us and our customers."
"I have used many solutions, but Glean Platform is the best, and I would truly appreciate it if everyone considers this platform."
"Azure AI Foundry makes it very straightforward, as I do not have to write thousands of lines of code; I rely on GitHub Copilot and Azure AI Foundry."
"The benefit of using Azure AI Foundry for the organization is saving time, so saving time and then making money—now that we have this, many people were not doing this because it took them so long to do that research, that has been fixed."
"The feature of Azure AI Foundry that I prefer most is the guardrails, as it is much easier than the one that Bedrock in AWS provides."
"The most beneficial feature of Azure AI Foundry for enhancing customer experience is the ability to use Azure Functions to call things outside of Azure AI Foundry, making it more comprehensive as a feature."
"With Document Intelligence, we just went through Foundry, enabled Document Intelligence, and we were able to get everything done in less than 90 days for the complete end-to-end solution we built on that."
"Azure AI Foundry has helped me reduce the time taken for AI app and agent development significantly because it takes over a lot of the infrastructure work of connecting to these models."
"Azure AI Foundry has affected our management of privacy, performance, and compliance primarily based on our location in the UK, where it is more focused on the region in terms of where that data is being processed and who has access to it, which is hopefully no one other than us."
"These features have benefited our organization by allowing us to release new products and new offerings this year, accelerate our growth, and quickly drive our AI agents into customers' hands."

Cons

"The process discovery side needs improvement."
"Automation Anywhere needs to have more testing tools to improve the testing portion of the solution."
"As a developer or user, I feel that the performance of the overall package could be made a little better or reliable. For example, if I'm opening up a heavy Excel file, which is uploaded in some shared drive over the net, and I have my box coded to open that Excel to do some work or formatting on it, and depending on the network load and the size of the file, this client version while trying to access that file becomes unstable at times. It goes into the hang position until a human being comes in, ends the task, and restarts it. Until this happens, it does not respond."
"Our tool is a bit slow, as it's a legacy tool. Automation Anywhere is having some issues when running back."
"Automation Anywhere should add a couple of commands which will help most developers not to always use a script, a good example is in String operations."
"The document processing, OCR, needs to be more accurate. Sometimes, when you try it on documents, it keeps on failing and goes to a different queue. It needs to mature."
"It may sound a little funny or weird, but one thing that we are thinking is we have to go to various websites and pick up relevant data from various websites using the bot."
"Off the top of my head, I cannot think of anything that they would need to improve on, but there are probably opportunities to explore some potential use cases where maybe there is a feature that is not yet available. We can discover and pioneer something together."
"There are multiple ways in which Glean Platform can be improved."
"My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for Glean Platform reveals limited options, and I wish there was more customization available."
"Currently, Glean Platform does not integrate with Teams, Microsoft-owned platforms."
"Sometimes Glean Platform gets slowed down."
"In workflow agents, I would prefer that we do not use AI in every step and instead we have a toggle button or something which can configure whether AI should be used in this specific search field or not, or in this specific node or not, because currently it's using AI in all nodes which sometimes messes up the output."
"I chose seven out of ten because if I could upload PDFs and have them analyzed, or have it integrate with my Gmail and help me go through my emails, that would be very useful, but I do not think it does that."
"Glean Platform can implement more models. The NLP creation could be a little faster, and while debugging is amazing, the routing also needs to provide higher quality outputs sometimes rather than extensive searching."
"I tried pulling in an architecture diagram of a workflow, and it pulled in some other image instead."
"I find that the online documentation can sometimes be confusing, requiring extensive searching through multiple articles to locate specific information."
"Even though I have only been utilizing Azure AI Foundry for the past four months, I think the understanding between Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry is still somewhat unclear regarding which one to use when and why, and how they complement each other is a journey we are currently undertaking."
"I would evaluate customer service and technical support as terrible. Whenever I have to reach out to customer support, I end up waiting sometimes days for a response, and our 24-hour response time often turns into three to five days."
"Right now, because of the UI and the complexity of it, it is complicated and cumbersome, and I think figuring out how to simplify that would probably make it a faster process."
"Azure AI Foundry could be improved with better integration within all the other tools from Microsoft."
"My biggest critique is some of the fragmentation of their different AI services they have, including AI Open, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, and Azure Foundry. They feel very disjointed sometimes, so having a unified single experience for all of that would be ideal."
"I would improve Azure AI Foundry by adding more functions within Foundry itself, as right now it is quite basic in what it does."
"My experience with deploying Azure AI Foundry is that, at this point in time, given the limited capabilities available in Foundry, we built pro-code agents, hosted them, containerized them, and deployed them."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is somewhere in the middle. The price and value of Automation Anywhere are better than UiPath. The pricing is good globally. It could be a little bit cheaper, but it is good."
"We're on a license package with Automation Anywhere (AA), paid yearly. What would be better is for them to have different packages for different types of organization."
"It is cost-efficient in terms of licensing. I found their support good when I was working for the airline client. However, I hear from my managers here that the support price for Tier 3 or premium is a little higher. That is why we are not going for Automation Anywhere. Its price was okay for our client, but for us, it seems expensive."
"Subscription for Automation Anywhere (AA) is paid yearly."
"If I compare it with Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere is cheaper. Blue Prism is very costly. Automation Anywhere's pricing follows the market, not less and not more."
"Including the AWS setup and everything per license, it costs us around $10,000 on an annual basis. I believe that is pretty reasonable considering the teams that we have."
"I would rate the price of Automation Anywhere a six out of ten, with ten being the most expensive."
"The product’s pricing is reasonable."
