The UI is colorful, but the user experience must be improved
We can see all the pipelines with a simple search. The UI is colorful. The user experience is very rich. The product is very easy to learn if we know a bit of the basics. If we have someone to show us how to use it, it is very easy.

Real-time monitoring and seamless integration enhance deployment efficiency
The main disadvantage I see is the limited awareness of Nolio Release Automation in other organizations. It is a very nice tool, but its market presence is limited. I heard from the organization that the licensing cost was somewhat expensive. Perhaps focusing on marketing efforts would be beneficial. It is a really nice tool, and I am unsure why many organizations are not using Nolio Release Automation. It is one of the greatest tools for continuous deployment, yet its popularity remains limited. Some organizations are not aware of its existence. This might be an area worth researching and potentially developing new marketing strategies.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"After we switched to GO, each team can set-up their own delivery pipeline and run it themselves."
"GoCD's open-source nature is valuable."
"The most notable aspect is its user interface, which we find to be user-friendly and straightforward for deploying and comprehending pipelines. We have the ability to create multiple pipelines, and in addition to that, the resource consumption is impressive."
"Permission separations mean that we can grant limited permissions for each team or team member."
"The UI is colorful."
"In terms of value added it has more than achieved everything we wanted from it and more."
"With CA Release Automation, the customers whom I worked with were able to increase the number of deployments, increase the deployment speed, increase the number of concurrent deployments, lower the error rate, and improve the visibility and the reliability of the deployment process."
"The built-in action packs for different systems is the most valuable feature."
"We've integrated it with our ticketing system to automatically trigger deployments and update tickets accordingly, saving a lot of manual effort."
"For my organization, in particular, it’s going to improve our throughput; we're not going to have delays in testing because we had some sort of manual entry error or transposition error, and we should be able to release our software to the customer in a much more efficient fashion."
"UI-based orchestration Ease of use of the application from anyone who is technical to completely non-tech folk Great visualization and consolidation of reports across the organization"
"It's a lot easier to deploy software through CA than using a manual process or through GPOs."
"The valuable features are: Ability to keep the map of different environments in a single tool, ability to design and manage DevOps activity from a graphical point of view, and ability to manage large installations with more than 5,000 servers due to its 100% scalable architecture."
"The solution has been really helpful with its flowchart-type interface; we can easily configure the deployments through drag and drop functionality, and we can define the process and components using the flowchart."

Cons

"The tool must be more user-friendly."
"The aspect that requires attention is the user management component. When integrating with BitLabs and authenticating through GitLab, there are specific features we desire. One important feature is the ability to import users directly from GitLab, along with their respective designations, and assign appropriate privileges based on that information. Allocating different privileges to users is a time-consuming process for us."
"The documentation really should be improved by including real examples and more setup cases."
"User management, Documentation, Advanced GUI functionality."
"It is difficult to assign different access levels because it relies on separate keys for developer and admin access, which could be simplified."
"GO doesn't come with a lot of out of the box features like other tools, don't expect that you can get it to work by clicking the NEXT button."
"Well, I'm looking forward to seeing different kinds of scheduling options and being able to troubleshoot more real time if something does go wrong."
"A task for using a dynamic language like Groovy could be very useful in order to create easily simple tasks."
"Of course, we need to test this more, but I want to see much more seamless integration between Release Automation and CA Service Virtualization or DevTest."
"We use two versions – the older version (4.4) is very unstable, while the newer one (5.5) is much better."
"Whenever we pick a new solution and we try to install it, there are some hiccups in the initial stage."
"Technical Support: 7/10 because they can be more efficient to solve issues, and you always have to prove that the issues don’t come from your infrastructure but from the product."
"If more than 150 nodes are connected to the execution/NAC server, then we observe slowness in the execution of the processes. This then leads to time-outs, and the deployment fails on some of the nodes."
"Error handling needs to be improved in some of the action packs."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It's an open-source and free tool."
"This is an open-source solution and it is inexpensive."
"Nolio is a pretty much good tool, though its pricing is relatively high in the market. It's more expensive than other tools."
