Cloud storage has optimized my tiered costs and supports seamless sharing and collaboration
Currently, I think it is okay and easy to use for an individual and to share with another person, so there is no room for improvement for Google Cloud Storage at this time.In the future, I would like to see additional features in Google Cloud Storage such as integrating Gemini to function as a chat for finding information, or OCR, or reading the content in my files for searching purposes.

Self-hosted file sync tool used to deploy custom web UIs.
I think it’s probably the best self-hosted file sync tool on the market. It’s a full web application platform, an indispensable tool for a business of any size that needs to deploy any kind of custom web UI. If you build an ownCloud app, you’ve got authentication, storage, security, caching, and database layers already fully baked for you. You just need to build your UI and custom logic. Your app doesn’t even need to interact with files, sync, or interact with other ownCloud features. Any web UI can be included without ownCloud. It can even be a portal to web interfaces of other applications within a business using the external app to display external sites within ownCloud. This is the case as long as that site allows itself to be displayed within a frame.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution is very flexible."
"The most valuable features of Google Cloud Storage are the ease of use and I can share files with my colleagues."
"Google Cloud Storage is highly reliable."
"It's user-friendly, we find it to be very easy to use, they also have the SDK for the development team to integrate with their application and system which has been useful, the product is quite stable, Google is targeting customers right now in the Vietnam market and therefore they have lots of promotions, they also have a lot of teams in Vietnam so they give a lot of support and troubleshooting, the product can scale, and the security is pretty good."
"There is a free-to-use version. This is the version I use."
"I am satisfied with this solution."
"The ease of operations is great, it makes everything easily accessible, and it is very stable."
"The combination of Firebase features, including storage, the Firebase database, and authentication, has been the most valuable. Firebase offers Google authentication, which is convenient for our needs. Additionally, Firebase provides email authentication and Gmail authentication, which are easy to set up and integrate into our applications."
"I think it’s probably the best self-hosted file sync tool on the market."

Cons

"The price of Azure products is high. In my opinion, the prices of Google solutions should be lowered for businesses."
"It is stable, but it can always be more stable."
"I think improvements can be made from a storage perspective and a cost perspective."
"I would love to use Amazon S3 as it's more user-friendly and the SDK is better."
"The solution should have two factor authentication."
"The product's user interface is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"My requirements are minimal, but the cost of additional storage could be cheaper."
"I would like more storage available."
"Even with fast disks, it still takes a fair bit of time to write most schema changes to multi-GB tables."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I use the free version and have never paid for any extra storage. I have been able to manage in whatever free spaces are given."
"Its price is fine."
"If you want a shared file system, you have to buy a server with the minimum capacity of one TB."
"The price of the license could be cheaper. We are on an annual subscription."
"They have recently changed their pricing structures, it used to be free but now it is a paid service. However, I am on a monthly subscription and the price is reasonable."
"For licensing, I pay yearly. The pricing is fine."
"If you're ready to pay, they're ready to give you as much storage as you want. Considering the features that Google Cloud Storage provides, the pricing is reasonable. So far, I'm still using the free service from them because I'm able to meet my requirements with the free subscription. Maybe, in the future, if a storage requirement comes, I'll pay for it or go for the license."
"There is no license to use Google Cloud Storage."
