Offers the most simplest and easiest UI to use
I would not like many changes in the tool, but I think the 15 GB space provided by Google Drive Enterprise needs to be increased to around 25 five GB, as it would be really helpful for users. These days, the resolution of pictures and everything else has been increased. If you take a picture from an iPhone, it could easily be of around seven to eight GB. Photos are memories that one would want to keep or store properly. I believe that it is not possible to save a lot of photos in Google Drive Enterprise since it only provides 15 GB to users. The product does not offer a bit more storage space for users, which makes it an area that needs to be considered for improvement.

Integration enhances workflow while user support requires improvement
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server should add some 'tip of the days' and small videos to help users grow within their experience with SharePoint. More integration with Copilot and with the AI platform would be great. Additionally, having the ability in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server to summarize when bringing in SharePoint folders would be beneficial, providing extracts, analysis, proposals, and summaries of those documents.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution is absolutely stable."
"It's easy to access from an Android device and can access things like cyber security restrictions on USB drives, file size, and so on. Google Drive will be an option."
"The most valuable features of the solution are space and availability."
"The ability to simultaneously edit files is really useful."
"It allows multiple users to work simultaneously on a document."
"The initial setup is easy."
"The most valuable features of the solution are in areas like synchronization and backup."
"The solution's most valuable features are its flexibility and accessibility."
"The software is friendly to use for mixing data and analyzing it."
"The level of stability is good."
"Ability to collaborate with others in one location."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the Communication Site."
"It is a decent tool for collaboration, especially if you are already using other Office products."
"The collaboration, the ability for multiple users to work on a single document."
"The solution's most valuable aspects are its collaboration capabilities, its communications site and the innovation within the product itself."
"The support from Microsoft is very quick and they are very proactive."

Cons

"The solution is kind of expensive."
"I had some issues with permissions at first. I have to ask for Drive permissions because I'm a new doctoral student. Sometimes I have to ask for permission because I can't access this kind of document, but recently they fixed that by adding me to their team. Now I can access any document that my department supervisors and staff share on Drive."
"It would be ideal if they could offer more GBs for free. Offering 15GBs is too small."
"The only thing that's really been annoying is the single file size limit."
"Google meets use of whiteboard is primitive making it difficult to demonstrate while talking."
"Improvements could include better editing features within a Word document, similar to the characteristics of on-premises versions, such as more formatting functions. Another improvement could be file transfer from the browser to the desktop, making it as simple as drag and drop."
"The desktop app could be improved, especially how it functions in the Windows environment."
"You cannot upload multiple files with the same name to Google Drive. I'm not sure how relevant it is for other users, but I have multiple files with the same name that I'm unable to upload to a single folder."
"Sharepoint doesn't integrate well with Oracle, and we use a lot of Oracle products at our company. Therefore, it makes more sense for us to go to Oracle instead of continuing to use Sharepoint."
"It is a bit restrictive to develop in the cloud version. A lot of features are in the cloud now, and you have to develop on the outside. As far as the platform and the programming side of things are concerned, it is moving more towards configuration management rather than programming. When we are doing solutions, we are basically just configuring it to make solutions happen rather than actually using the Visual Studio code and developing from scratch in the cloud. It is almost like creating an app. You have created an app for your phone, but the app doesn't really sit on your phone. It sits somewhere on a server, and the database sits on another server. The app is just pulling and pushing information. The whole development has changed. We used to install things directly on the server and then run the application from the server. Now, it is more of a modular architecture."
"This solution is not very stable. It is useful to arrange data but it's not the best for big data. Sometimes we have issues with our reports as a result."
"I would like to see the integration with Teams reinforced."
"The product is behind in development and lacks some features."
"I would like to see more Agile techniques and seamless integration with other applications."
"The ability to preview files in different formats should be expanded to include formats such as embedded postscript (EPS), AutoCAD, and Adobe Acrobat PDF."
"The areas around security, such as protection, need to be included."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Google is much cheaper than Microsoft."
"The program is very affordable."
"The product is not expensive."
"The product is available for free, so I don't need to pay for it."
"I am using the free version."
"You need to pay an extra cost to use more space."
"The price of Google Drive Enterprise is affordable and is one of its best features. I am on a monthly subscription."
"That would be ideal if it were as cheap as possible."
"Pricing plans may be flexible depending on volume usage and your corporate relationship with Microsoft."
"There are some aggressive discounts offered by Microsoft for organizations that are not for profit, which we are, and it makes it quite attractive to consider."
"It can be expensive for on-premises deployments, especially when you have to support SQL Server as your backend database. That's where the cost comes into play. SQL Server has its own licensing, which Microsoft keeps on changing. Therefore, it can become costly. In the earlier versions of SharePoint, version 2007 or 2010, they had an express version where the SQL Server licensing was free. It wasn't like a full-blown SharePoint. It was only a slimmed-down version. It used to be whatever your hardware costs. You would install the free software and work with it, but you were very limited in what you could do in SharePoint. If you wanted the SharePoint Enterprise Server with all the bells and whistles, then you had to pay more to get the SQL Server license based on the number of users or servers. The subscription model is different for cloud deployments. Licensing is per user and per month. The cost also depends on the storage required. If you have a lot of sites or documents, then you need to expand it based on your needs."
"One of the reasons why we don't recommend the cloud version of SharePoint is the cost. With the on premise version, you pay for the license once. For the cloud version, there is a recurring fee. It is very expensive. They expect everyone to pay $20 or $30 per user per month."
