Recording and transcription enhance global client meetings
Google Hangouts sometimes consumes significant resources. When comparing it to WhatsApp on desktop for calls, there are instances when Google Hangouts freezes or stops working, but switching to WhatsApp runs smoothly. This might be related to the resources Google Hangouts requires. The service occasionally experiences lag issues where the image gets frozen or the voice transmission becomes interrupted. When these issues occur, possibly due to internet connectivity or other factors, WhatsApp continues to function properly while Google Hangouts does not perform well.

Unified communication has transformed our collaboration and consistently boosts project delivery
The best features Zoom Workplace Business offers include screen sharing, clear video and audio, online meetings, large-scale events, call management, mobile apps, unified communication platform, and collaboration. The feature I find myself using the most is an AI-powered collaboration platform that is used to streamline communication, increase employee engagement, optimize in-person time, and improve productivity. The screen sharing is very effective and a helpful tool where we are able to screen share with our colleagues and discuss different tasks and project management ideas. Collaboration has become very efficient, and remote working has also become efficient and prevalent in my organization. We have been able to save a lot of time using Zoom Workplace Business. It has been a game-changer. Zoom Workplace Business elevates the experience with Zoom AI Companion included at no additional cost. It is designed to help employees be more productive, collaborate better, enhance their skills, and unlock time savings.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The video call feature is the most valuable."
"The product is stable."
"Online sessions are reliable and there are almost no glitches."
"The interface is simple and not complex."
"Google Hangouts is easy to use and has good performance."
"Google Hangouts currently uses AI capabilities to generate splits on the call and summarize it."
"We use transcriptions to document meetings, which is important for productivity."
"I think the simplicity of the whole thing is its valuable feature."
"Zoom is easy for non-tech people to use. It's straightforward and simple."
"Screen sharing is valuable. It is very easy to install, and there are 45 minutes free of charge."
"Zoom is easy to use and makes it easy to communicate with people remotely in meetings."
"Overall, Zoom is a good product because we are using it globally, and it is a good way of connecting with everyone globally."
"The initial setup is straightforward as this is a cloud application. It only takes a few seconds."
"Zoom makes meetings as effective as a live meeting or close to it."
"Overall, Zoom is a good product and I recommend that people use it."
"The solution is very stable."

Cons

"Google Hangouts is not good enough to be used in a professional environment or for some official work, especially when compared to a product like Microsoft Teams."
"We don’t have any complaints."
"Not a ten because there's room for improvement. Sometimes there is disconnectivity."
"Sending documents and other things is not an option."
"I'm not completely happy with the message options in Hangouts because for now it's only possible to send pictures, which is unfortunate because I would also like to be able to send documents and other things."
"Maybe they should offer more security features."
"Support could be a bit faster."
"We purchased a videoconference system called Zoom. We want to see if Google Hangouts has the ability to integrate our Zoom device to use it with Hangouts and meet directly."
"There are some security issues with Zoom, which is something that needs to be resolved."
"The solution is pricier than its competitors."
"They can make it easier to use and more intuitive. Ease of use is always a key for selling a product."
"Compared to Skype and Teams, Zoom is missing one feature, and that's the ability to call people. In Teams, I can call anyone I want. It's like a telephone. I can do the same on Skype, but I have to send a link in Zoom."
"The recording capabilities may not be as good as WebEx, however, I can't be sure about that just yet."
"Zoom has frequent updates, occurring every week or twice a week. This poses a significant issue because sometimes when we attempt to initiate a call, the system begins an upgrade process, taking at least 30 seconds and sometimes up to two minutes. This unscheduled upgrade can be inconvenient for users, as they must wait for the update to complete."
"The product's stability is an area of concern where improvements are required since sometimes users get dropped off from meetings."
"Could be more flexible for individuals that do not have the economic capacity."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The screen-sharing feature is the most valuable feature."
"This solution is available for free with the opening of a Google account."
"We access the solution through Google Workspace. It is inexpensive to use."
"I believe my company has a yearly license for Google Hangouts, but I'm not sure because this is a corporate account, so I don't have the details."
"I use the free version of the solution."
"I think there is a need for payment for licensing, but as students, we didn't have to pay for it when we were using it. Our professors were the ones paying for it since they needed to record the sessions."
"We are using the free version of Google Hangouts."
"There is no license cost."
"The free version has a time limit, but paid subscriptions are available."
"My organization has a yearly license for Zoom."
"Zoom is free to use."
"I use Zoom's free version."
"The version I am using of Zoom is free."
"In addition to any licensing fees, we hired Zoom to provide training to us in small groups."
"The exact costs are handled on a corporate level, however, I understand that if you just want to own a license for your small business or something like that, it's around $300 a year, which is very reasonable."
"The cost of Zoom is approximately $150 USD annually."
