Recording and transcription enhance global client meetings
Google Hangouts sometimes consumes significant resources. When comparing it to WhatsApp on desktop for calls, there are instances when Google Hangouts freezes or stops working, but switching to WhatsApp runs smoothly. This might be related to the resources Google Hangouts requires. The service occasionally experiences lag issues where the image gets frozen or the voice transmission becomes interrupted. When these issues occur, possibly due to internet connectivity or other factors, WhatsApp continues to function properly while Google Hangouts does not perform well.

Unified communication has transformed our collaboration and consistently boosts project delivery
The best features Zoom Workplace Business offers include screen sharing, clear video and audio, online meetings, large-scale events, call management, mobile apps, unified communication platform, and collaboration. The feature I find myself using the most is an AI-powered collaboration platform that is used to streamline communication, increase employee engagement, optimize in-person time, and improve productivity. The screen sharing is very effective and a helpful tool where we are able to screen share with our colleagues and discuss different tasks and project management ideas. Collaboration has become very efficient, and remote working has also become efficient and prevalent in my organization. We have been able to save a lot of time using Zoom Workplace Business. It has been a game-changer. Zoom Workplace Business elevates the experience with Zoom AI Companion included at no additional cost. It is designed to help employees be more productive, collaborate better, enhance their skills, and unlock time savings.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"The installation part of the product is easy since one generally needs to use a browser to use the product."
"The scalability is good; we have added a lot of users, and it's always working."
"The most valuable features are that you don't have to create a separate account, it's easy to use, and you don't have to enter an ID or password to start video conferencing."
"The most valuable features are the chat features and the video conferencing features that enable more than two or three people to be connected at a time."
"The most valuable features are the chat features and the video conferencing features that enable more than two or three people to be connected at a time."
"The technical support team for Google Hangouts has been pretty responsive and could solve whatever challenges arise, within a day or two."
"I appreciated having the basic features like screen sharing and camera options."
"Whatever features are on offer right now on Google Hangouts, I find all of them useful."
"The most valuable feature of Zoom is having the ability to be able to share your screen and chat whilst you're online."
"The product's most valuable features are chat and video streaming."
"It is very quick to get a meeting started."
"I've never had to use tech support for it. It just works."
"The main benefit is that it allows us to easily connect and collaborate, even in areas with less reliable internet."
"Zoom is a very nice product, and we use it regularly."
"Zoom is easy to set up meetings, and the features work well."
"You don't need to be technical in order to use it."

Cons

"The solution can be improved by integrating other tools."
"Google Hangouts could work on making the service better for slow connections."
"We've noticed the product works better in Chrome and doesn't work as well in Safari browsers."
"The scalability has room for improvement."
"It would be ideal if they could include in the offering a virtual whiteboard for users when they are running meetings."
"There is no delete option for messages which could be an added feature in a future release."
"As someone who is not very familiar with technology, I find it acceptable. I prefer to wait and see what they will come up with in the future. However, I notice that they keep introducing new features that are better than the previous ones."
"You only get 60 minutes of video conferencing."
"It is just for meetings and conversations. It does not have any collaboration or integration with other software that we are using."
"It's a heavy application that requires a lot of bandwidth. I would like to see Zoom incorporate those features where you can share documents and form teams while still maintaining efficiency."
"Yesterday, we had a call, but Zoom closed after 20 or 25 minutes, and we didn't get any alerts."
"While Zoom calls are great for talking and chatting, they often lack follow-up on action items and collaboration. Most of the time, it's just talking and listening without much progress. There's a missing piece in these tools. About 90 percent of those calls could be replaced by other tools that focus more on the deliverables that make a real impact rather than just being another wasted meeting. It doesn't improve collaboration."
"What I don't like is the 45-minute time limit on the free subscription."
"Zoom should continue to add new features to the product."
"Zoom's audio quality could be improved. I feel like Teams is more reliable because sometimes the audio is patchy on Zoom, whereas I've never had a problem with Teams."
"Zoom also has an issue with logins. For some reason, especially with institutional accounts, it is common to get kicked out and verification processes don't work all the time."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"This solution is available for free with the opening of a Google account."
"I think there is a need for payment for licensing, but as students, we didn't have to pay for it when we were using it. Our professors were the ones paying for it since they needed to record the sessions."
"We are a small team and a small organization such as ours just uses the free version of Google, so there's no cost associated with Google Hangouts at the moment."
"I use the free version of the solution."
"Google Hangouts has reasonable pricing, but I don't use the paid version because I only have a small budget, though you get more features from the paid version."
"I believe my company has a yearly license for Google Hangouts, but I'm not sure because this is a corporate account, so I don't have the details."
"We access the solution through Google Workspace. It is inexpensive to use."
"There is a need to make certain payments towards the licensing costs attached to the product and some other tools that are included in the suite offered by Google. Google Hangouts alone as a product is available for free."
"There is a 40-minute time limit when you use the basic version, which is free."
"The cost of Zoom is approximately $150 USD annually."
"There are no licensing fees required."
"I use Zoom's free version."
"Zoom can be used for free."
"The personal version that I was using is available free of charge."
