Centralized endpoint security has improved and supports hybrid work and BYOD policies
Regarding what I dislike about Microsoft Intune and its downsides, I would say that more Mac controls are needed because we have limited Mac and Linux control. When comparing controls and policies between Windows, Mac, and Linux, Windows has almost everything you can think of, while Mac and Linux have limited types of control. You cannot implement certain things on Mac and Linux that you can on Windows. The limited controls are a major issue. Additionally, if Microsoft could find a way to embed servers into Microsoft Intune, that would be beneficial. Microsoft Intune is not really designed for servers or Windows servers. It is more tailored towards Windows 11 and Windows 10 operating systems. Windows servers are not fully supported. Enterprise organizations usually have both servers and endpoints, which are users' workstations. For servers, most people look for other solutions such as SCCM, which is Configuration Manager. However, SCCM is what Microsoft Intune is trying to replace. Both SCCM and Microsoft Intune belong to Microsoft. Microsoft is trying to transition organizations into Microsoft Intune, the native cloud solution. However, because this update is still in process, servers are not fully compatible with Microsoft Intune and cannot be managed by it. The current policy that has emerged from issues with clients is what they call co-management, which is relatively new, and I do not know if adoption is significant. Many legacy or older customers who have been using these products for decades still have SCCM. When it is time for them to manage their Windows devices, they use what is called cloud attach. Cloud attach is a term whereby your SCCM is connected to your Microsoft Intune. Most people do not know about it, but I have deployed it for several organizations. Cloud attach and co-management work together so that your device is in SCCM, but some policies are pushed from Microsoft Intune. It is like two different solutions working hand in hand. That is what they call co-management. Microsoft Intune does not bring all of your endpoint and security management tools into one place, which is the goal and how it should be. However, as I mentioned, servers are not included. If we talk about end users, Microsoft Intune does bring all your devices together. In a typical enterprise environment, you have end users with workstations, laptops, company-issued phones, and bring your own devices. You can create policies for all of these. However, for the backend, your servers do not have much coverage. Servers are not really covered by Microsoft Intune in that way.

Centralized device control has strengthened compliance and continuously improves risk visibility
The packaging of the solution or the offering of Hexnode UEM could be improved or enhanced, because one package does not fit all. Hexnode UEM should be flexible in its solution offering. Currently, they only have around three types of licenses or packages, and whether you use the solution or the features or not, they are already included in the suite. Some products offer an a la carte solution, so in order to compete with those products, Hexnode UEM should consider repackaging the solution with respect to the region where it is being offered. The solution offered to India might not be optimal if it is offered to the Philippines or a different country, so the offering should be on a country-by-country basis or a regional basis.

It has significantly increased the amount of work we can perform, but blocking devices could be easier.
It could be easier to put devices on the blocklist. I would like the ability to block a device with a click of a button. Currently, we have to sift through different groups to block a device. It would be nice if Scalefusion allowed me to block without moving the device to a different profile. Another helpful feature they could add is the ability to migrate from one MDM to another. I'd also appreciate more extensive cloud storage. They give you 1 GB by default, but sometimes that's not enough.

"The agility is impressive, and it's simple to manage."
"It's very easy to use."

"Scalefusion has significantly increased the amount of work we can perform and has made it much easier to achieve our goals efficiently by eliminating tedious work and cumbersome processes."
"Scalefusion is easy to use, and they have a broad knowledge base, so you can quickly find answers if you're unsure how to do something. The articles on the knowledge base are well-written, with clear steps on what to do for a specific scenario. That part is well documented."

Cons

"Microsoft Copilot in Microsoft Intune is absolutely useless for protecting my environment."
"A detailed device diagnostic feature is missing. Also, operating system deployment and imaging are missing."
"I think if you have the money and want something more stable, you should go for AirWatch. I don't think Microsoft is offering the same stability as VMware at this point."
"What I dislike about Microsoft Intune is the time it takes Microsoft to develop a feature."
"Microsoft Intune can be improved by making it even more seamless for users to download their certificates."
"The granular support for other device types in Microsoft Intune could be improved."
"There is room for improvement in integration and security as well."

"It could be easier to put devices on the blocklist. I would like the ability to block a device with a click of a button."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is good because customers are not complaining about it."
"Intune is inexpensive. It also comes bundled in some Office 365 licenses, so you can choose to purchase it separately or as a package."
"On a scale of one to ten with one being the cheapest, the cost of Microsoft Intune is a five."
"Pricing depends on the features. Microsoft offers special packages if there are more than 10,000 users, and you may be able to get a reduced rate."
"For organizations that are a Microsoft shop, the pricing is compelling."
"The overall pricing of Microsoft Intune is good for companies that have big IT budgets, 3,000 or more users and devices."
"It's affordable for the protection it gives. There are no additional costs."
"Intune's pricing is reasonable considering its benefits and the high costs it helps avoid."
