Integrated planning has improved document automation but reporting and user experience still need work
There are areas where Infor CloudSuite can improve. I have touched on the pros and key strengths of Infor CloudSuite, but end-user feedback indicates that there are several areas where the user experience can improve. For instance, when it comes to reporting, it comes with a very limited number of reports, and the standard reports are clunky, requiring a technical resource or developer to enhance or make them presentable. Another area is user experience; it takes several clicks to get to the information, and the user interface isn't that intuitive. Compared to other solutions, such as top-tier options such as Oracle or SAP, this stands out as an area needing improvement. When it comes to integration, Infor CloudSuite does offer a great deal of flexibility. It comes with APIs, so you can integrate with any third-party systems you may use. On that front, it's sufficient; however, it does require some specialized resources, as it's not a layman's job, and developers need to help with the integration. This is generally the case for any ERP. The user interface could indeed be better, and there is a steep learning curve for users; it takes time for them to get accustomed to Infor CloudSuite's interface and forms. However, once users adapt, it becomes easier and smoother to navigate. There are great features associated with Infor CloudSuite, such as DataViews and Birst as a business intelligence tool, which can be integrated with the basic product. Implementing Birst isn't plug-and-play; it requires a team of technical resources to execute. Additionally, there is a feature that allows integration with Excel, which can be installed by your IT team.

Integration capabilities facilitate efficient data management and enhance customer service, but the analytics requires improvement
The analytics capabilities in Siebel CRM have presented numerous challenges. Due to these challenges, we had to integrate Microsoft Power BI. The CRM analytics was not sufficient for our needs, given that we have four million customers and a thousand products. We are currently focusing on the upgrade and discussing with Oracle. If there have been improvements in the analytics side over the past few years, we are open to evaluating them. Currently, all analytics are being done on Power BI. The data is exported to our data lake, and Power BI is being used for all reporting and analytics. Even our customer 360, which is the core of any CRM, has Power BI widgets built-in through iframe because we could not accomplish this through Siebel CRM. The analytics component has been the main pain point for our organization, particularly due to processing time and performance with our large customer base.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is a scalable solution."
"Infor's environment—ION and Infor OS—is better than SAP's. The load time is shorter and Infor performs much better than SAP."
"Mainly, we pushed back a $7M plant expansion because we were able to increase throughput with our existing facility."
"The customization capabilities of CloudSuite Industrial are also there."
"Workflow management and collaboration tools enhance operations and facilitate seamless interaction among departments."
"It is a very scalable solution."
"What I appreciate most about Infor CloudSuite is the out-of-box standard functionality; it really can function to meet the needs of any company."
"The product's most valuable feature is production planning. It is one of the core features."
"Siebel CRM has a strong database model, workflow and integration tools."
"It is a stable solution, but because it is an on-premises one, we have slow response rates at times."
"Siebel CRM is the number one CRM product in the world."
"It is quite robust and flexible; you can develop almost anything you want, and when you go into the tools, you can do anything you want."
"The capability of bringing data into a single system, along with integrations and offering a single platform to handle multiple customer-related tasks, has been the most productive aspect."
"It is easier to communicate with local companies within a large organization using Siebel CRM."
"If you have a proper business case and a large enterprise where you need to manage more than a million customers then it's a highly recommended solution."
"Siebel CRM is used for distributing information between systems, trouble ticketing, and case management."

Cons

"As far as pricing and licensing are concerned, more licenses are needed when companies grow with Infor CloudSuite."
"The disadvantages of Infor CloudSuite are related to Absence Management. There are too many setups for users to establish absence plans, formulas, and calculations."
"They could include marketing automation for the product."
"The price of the solution is not good."
"The price of the solution is not good. In Europe, it's difficult to find people who already know Infor, which was a problem during implementation."
"Regarding integration, specific third-party tools are not accepted, for example, on the old version of IBM or Oracle."
"In Germany, there aren't enough IT specialists for customization and software development, causing projects to take too long."
"Currently, there are some challenges with handling large reports, possibly due to setup limits or issues with the solution."
"Very complex (User setup, Account imports, EIM on Opportunity, Marketing). In summary, we had to struggle a lot to get the software running with all relevant data."
"The latest versions of this solution are not stable. I have been working on the latest version for three and a half years and I'm still experiencing issues with stability."
"The tool took a lot of time to deploy."
"Siebel CRM can improve as an ERP and for a few corporate business workloads."
"The solution itself is very heavy."
"Siebel CRM should improve its UI. Because it's all about the customer experience and how the customer experiences it, the internal customer is more important for CRM than the people handling the company. So, you get frustrated if you don't have a very good user interface and user experience."
"The backend performance of Siebel could be improved as it is often slow. In addition, the Open UI is not that responsive."
"The documentation needs to be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is a cost-effective solution."
"The product is expensive. I rate the pricing a five out of ten."
"I'm working for a German company, but I'm located in Portugal. In the German market, Infor's price isn't an issue for clients, but Infor is losing market share every year to SAP in Portugal. Portuguese clients find SAP more affordable. Infor needs to work on this."
"I feel it is not very cheap, very economical but also not very expensive."
"As for pricing, I secured a favorable deal at around $80,000 yearly for five years, but it was a one-time opportunity."
"The pricing is not built on a standard model."
"The platform's pricing depends on the specific number of users."
"For on-premise installations, the licensing is yearly."
"I think the tool’s pricing is exaggerated. Once you do the price sizing as per your business needs, you would find that the price of other solutions like Zoho CRM, HubSpot CRM, Salesforce CRM, etc. would be always the same."
"The product is expensive."
"Its licensing is yearly."
"This solution is expensive compared to other solutions in the market. This makes it difficult to convince our customers to use it. The customers who are already using Siebel have thought about moving to Velocity or Salesforce."
"The price of Siebel CRM depends on the usage of the business requirement. For large enterprises the price it's very good but if you are using it for medium scale enterprises, the price is very expensive."
