Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Manual ticketing features hinder workflow, but cost-effective ticket management is ensured
We just use it because it's more trouble to rip it out than to replace it with a more expensive tool. I would not recommend this product to others. If budget is a concern, it might be suitable but it doesn’t excite. Hence, I would rate it a four out of ten.

Omni-channel routing has transformed case handling and now supports complex field operations
From my experience, we might need queue-based alignment in Omni-Channel routing. Assignment rules should be defined at the flow level. The challenge with SLA creation is evident in escalation rules, which should include a field flagging feature that is lacking in the current setup. Einstein Bot, linked with Omni-Channel messaging, is complex to define, with a need for all related information in one place, making the process cumbersome. Understanding which bot is associated with specific messaging apps requires manual searching, and this can be improved.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Automation Anywhere provides the best feature to make a software bot for processes."
"Our return on investment is high."
"The addition of excel advanced to directly append worksheets, add formulas, etc was very beneficial and made the code development faster."
"Even a non-IT or business user can just look at the bot language and understand what the bot is doing, and that's the easy part."
"With Automation Anywhere, they receive their financial statements while still on the call."
"All customers were happy after automating using AA because of the better accuracy, it's easy to develop and manage, and it's easy to manage the orchestrator."
"It has helped us to save a lot of FTEs for our solutions that we have provided to our companies. Suppose a job which was done by a group of eight to nine people on a daily basis for 24 hours was taking a lot of time, so we created a bot with Automation Anywhere. It was done with a bot working 24/7. It reduced the numbers of guys required to do that process."
"Automation Anywhere (AA) is easy to use and understand, even if the user didn't have previous experience with RPA (robotic process automation) software before."
"The product teams are continuously on the products trying to improve them. If, for example, I ask for a change to be done in the software, the chances are in the next release it's going to be done and incorporated. It's this personal touch that I like."
"ManageEngine SupportCenter Plus works fine as a help desk software and is relatively inexpensive."
"The most valuable features are the ITIL compliance and billing."
"When using it predominantly for a help desk solution, it seems like an absolutely fine product."
"Their technical support has been very helpful and is very good."
"We have found the reporting in this product to be very useful."
"The product is very scalable and stable when used as a help desk once it is built out."
"Their tech support has been talking to us about expanding features like integrations with Microsoft Teams."
"Salesforce provides a really good overview of the pipeline and the stages of each sale, allowing management to make accurate forecasts in terms of what will come in by the end of the month, quarter, or year."
"Automation, order of execution, bulkification, and error monitoring are features that I found to be valuable, and with Salesforce, I have not faced any issues related to these functionalities."
"It is a stable product."
"The product's initial setup phase was straightforward."
"The plug-ins that work with other standard systems have made the product industry-ready."
"If you can get customers to self-serve, this is invaluable and save your customers' time and your staff's time."
"With the implementation of a complete Service Renewal Cycle using Salesforce, their threshold value of conversion got reduced from 1-2 weeks to a single day!"
"The interface is quite user-friendly."

Cons

"Regarding the UI, once you're on some of the screens there are fixed dialogues, they are a set size, so there's a lot of horizontal scrolls and vertical scrolls. If I want to do something that is purely business-related and is somewhat complex to write or is nuanced, I sometimes have trouble implementing that inside of the Automation Anywhere script."
"The optical character recognition of various documents and templates, particularly when using the Arabic language, has room for improvement."
"Automation Anywhere courses are a little bit complex to understand. You need a little bit more time, and accessibility is also a little bit of an issue."
"The main request I have for Automation Anywhere is to focus more on technical demonstrations."
"It needs to have more options for integrating with other tools."
"Excel functionalities, the macro interface can be improved in the next release of RPA platform Automation Anywhere. Functionalities such as maneuvering on the excel worksheets, increased capability to manipulate formulae, and other Excel functionalities will give Automation Anywhere and edge in the RPA platform category since most financial applications use a lot of Excel and macro sheets for their calculations and postings."
"The accuracy in Web Recorder needs to be improved, defective outputs found most of the time (not sure if is a website side issue)."
"I would like to see web and cloud-based platforms for future releases."
"ManageEngine SupportCenter Plus could improve on workflow automation features."
"I would like to see some kind of project management or portfolio management in a future version."
"They're pretty good but there's always room for improvement. There should be more templates that users can utilize immediately."
"There is no cloud-based version and it would be helpful if it were available."
"The product is very difficult to use and configure and requires specialists."
"The business model for the company is to sell low and charge for customization, education or expertise."
"ManageEngine, in my experience, fosters that type of environment; it doesn't have an easy button, a graphic user interface, ease-of-use, and ease-of-dev — the product does not have any of that."
"The tech support is terrible and that seems to be a part of their business plan."
"We're seeing a lot of automation and AI enhancements for improvements. This helps answer simple questions without manual intervention, saving time. We can improve by automating more of our solution-building process. Salesforce Service Cloud is a SaaS (Software as a Service) solution. It's constantly evolving, and we're always looking for ways to improve our use. The cloud services we use include CRM (Salesforce), financial (NetSuite), and people (Workday). These services are becoming more automated, with a lot happening in the AI space. We do a lot of modeling ourselves to find answers to questions, and our product team has introduced some AI enhancements."
"While Salesforce Service Cloud is more customer-focused, I believe a little more focus on assets is necessary."
"They could improve upon analytics."
"I'd like to see a better UI/UX. It also needs more competitive pricing on the Service Cloud feature licenses."
"The pricing of the solution can be made cheaper."
"Customer Service: 3/10 Technical Support: 3/10"
"There are elements of Service Cloud which cannot be smoothly migrated from sandbox environments to production, leading to manual steps in a deployment."
"The integrations with other solutions can be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"When you compare the cost of Automation Anywhere with UiPath and Blue Prism, those others are much less. Licensing-wise, UiPath wins the deal."
"It has good licensing costs which are average for the market."
"I think the pricing is reasonable, but clients often perceive it as expensive."
"It is expensive. I would rate Automation Anywhere an eight out of ten in terms of pricing."
"This is a comprehensive automation offering with a scalable architecture and flexible pricing models."
"We save 34,000 hours of time per year and have recouped up to $6000 in lost revenue."
"This solution costs approximately $3,500 USD per license."
"Automation Anywhere University is pretty good. They make it available free for everyone."
"The licensing fees depend on different criteria, including options and sizing."
"ManageEngine products will always be the lowest cost in category as that is part of their business model."
"The licensing is flexible. Companies pay for what they use. However, a company with very small needs might find it difficult to justify the cost. Overall, it's in the medium price range."
"We pay a yearly licensing fee for Salesforce Service Cloud, which is expensive."
"Salesforce is not a cheap product. It can be expensive."
"I believe that in our country, Colombia, we utilize this platform for the Latin American region. In terms of expenses, it's somewhat higher compared to other products. I would rate it as expensive and nine out of ten."
