A scalable solution with good functionalities, but customer support needs to improve
Customer support and getting help from MHR iTrent are not great at all. MHR iTrent concentrates too much on sales, like a selling mechanism. They don't concentrate on helping their existing clients get the most out of the solution. All they're interested in is selling you something else to add on.

Has connected financial data across departments and improved future cash flow planning
I would like to improve the integration with other solutions, as I need everything integrated, like the HR module, purchase module, SCM, production, and engineering. Each and every module should be connected to the finance module, and I think Oracle provides the right solution. Also, SAP, IFS, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 offer some solutions, but I am not as happy with them as I am with Oracle. I believe that Oracle E-Business Suite could improve by transitioning from Java-based scripts in our system to a web-based environment. While Oracle already has JD Edwards available in web-based format, I think it needs to be smoother for optimization and presentation in the future. In comparison, IFS is fully web-based, and all applications are sufficiently good and user-friendly. We are developing and trying to improve to a web-based setup, but it is currently too costly.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The retrospection feature within iTrent is really good and better than what some other software provides. It's really useful."
"MHR iTrent's functionality and the payroll part are good."
"Oracle E-Business Suite is a very integrated application. My overall rating is nine out of ten."
"This is an enormous product and it's our ERP system; it pretty much performs all of our accounting transactions and is the single source of truth for all our financial statements."
"As the brand name says, Enterprise Resource Planning, and that's all, it offers integration for all business areas in one database."
"Its drag-and-drop features make data distribution a breeze."
"We have had a good experience with this solution for 13 years."
"Very flexible in terms of configurations and it's capable of integrations."
"It is a very stable solution."
"It is scalable."

Cons

"MHR's customer service needs to improve. It's dreadful at the moment. They're not very customer-focused."
"Customer support and getting help from MHR iTrent are not great at all."
"The main challenge has been the annual maintenance cost."
"Upgrading is a nightmare. I mean, I shouldn’t describe it as a nightmare, but I get nervous whenever they upgrade."
"There are no short-forms used in EBS on the mobile app and tablets, and increasing that will help because now everyone carries their tablets and handheld devices and you don’t need to go back to your seat to do anything if you are in the store or warehouse."
"We don't like Oracle EBS because it is very old. Nowadays, all the systems are on the cloud and web-based. With Oracle EBS, you need a huge setup before installing it. You need a lot of servers. There are a lot of problems and bugs in the system. We have to move from Oracle EBS to another system. In terms of improvements, it can have better training for end users and better support."
"I would rate the level of the technical support as a seven out of 10. There are big delays in the issues of resolution times."
"Although all the modules are integrated with each other into E-Business Suite, sometimes when you apply one patch for Accounts Receivable, for example, it can damage Accounts Payable."
"Areas for improvement would be that sometimes it's a bit rigid with customization and doesn't always facilitate region-specific requirements."
"We are developing and trying to improve to a web-based setup, but it is currently too costly."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"At the time of purchasing the license the price was reasonable."
"The price of the solution is extremely high."
"Considering the market at the moment, Oracle needs to adjust the pricing of this solution."
"There is an annual licensing fee and you are able to add features depending on the scope of the environment."
"Oracle scales the pricing, but E-Business Suite is still very expensive for small to mid-sized businesses."
"This is a highly-priced application and would not be affordable for small or medium business domains."
"Oracle's pricing is lower than that of its competitors."
"Licensing and costing of Oracle EBS is very complex. We recommend to use a system integrator during the negotiation process since Oracle sales representatives sometime do not know the actual minimum requirements and may oversell the necessary licenses through ignorance."
