Automated backups have transformed our multi-account recovery and now streamline compliance reporting
While N2WS has served us well, there are areas for improvement. The user interface feels somewhat dated and could benefit from modernization. Navigation between sections could be more intuitive, and the dashboard design could be more streamlined compared to contemporary AWS tools. The initial setup process has a steeper learning curve than we’d prefer, especially for complex multi-account configurations. More guided setup wizards would help new team members get up to speed faster. Reporting capabilities could be more granular, particularly around cost optimization metrics and backup performance analytics. Currently, we need to gather information from multiple screens to get comprehensive insights. For future releases, we’d value enhanced integration with AWS native services like Config and CloudTrail for better compliance reporting. More advanced scheduling options that adjust based on application load would also be beneficial. Better support for newer AWS services as they’re released would help us maintain comprehensive coverage as our infrastructure evolves. Additionally, native integration with popular ITSM tools beyond email notifications would improve our workflow automation.

Simple and flexible backup solution
I mainly use Cloud Connect as a cloud backup repository Cloud Connect's best features are its simplicity, flexibility, and constantly-expanding options. I've been using Cloud Connect for about four years. We encountered some issues with stability at the beginning, but these were fixed after…

"N2WS has significantly improved our organization’s data protection and disaster recovery capabilities"
"The combination of disaster recovery, backups, and scheduling helps us be flexible with our approach to backup, start and stop times while being cost-effective."
"Veeam Backup and Replication is still one of the most cost-effective backup solutions on the market and offers very good value for money."
"A really good feature is backing up the emails of the company."
"The most valuable feature is that it is very elastic. It's adaptable because it's very flexible and modular."
"The most valuable quality of Veeam Cloud Connect is its reliability."
"In my opinion, the console or dashboard is the most valuable feature of this solution."
"The most valuable features of Veeam Cloud Connect are its ease of use and the portal is very useful."
"For my needs, the solution offers everything I want."

Cons

"Improved disaster recovery options and expanded multicloud support are two areas where N2WS has already made significant advancements in the latest version."
"The user interface feels somewhat dated and could benefit from modernization."
"The only challenges we have because we are enterprise level and have so many accounts is that the rollout of the new JSON scripts that come out when you upgrade sometimes can be a little tedious."
"The GUI has room for improvement."
"One area where we would appreciate improvement is support for additional AWS native services, such as Lambda function backups and S3 beyond archive."
"Pricing can increase as backup volumes grow, so it is important to balance the level of protection with cost-optimization strategies such as tiering snapshots to S3 or Glacier."
"More documentation would be helpful, especially some step-by-step documents for recovery scenarios."
"The EKS environment solution could be improved."
"It would be helpful if the enterprise edition was more complete. It's not as complete as the enterprise plus edition is."
"The bandwidth optimization needs to be improved and have better efficiency so that you send fewer amounts of data from one site to the other."
"Basically, a huge amount of storage capacity can be required in certain cases."
"The solution needs to be more scalable. There should be no reason to set up Veeam Cloud Connect and have 10 servers in order to have a cloud backup. The initial setup could be easier."
"The solution could improve the stability."
"The biggest thing that Cloud Connect needs is native deduplication."
"We are now able to work on more security-related tasks with Acronis, as they offer features such as antivirus, DLP, and various cybersecurity options. This is a significant improvement compared to our previous solution with Veeam Cloud Connect, where we were lacking such features. It also allows us to offer a wider range of security options to our customers."
"I think Veeam Cloud Connect could be more stable, scalable, and secure. I think better pricing is needed."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The purchasing process through the AWS Marketplace is easy. Just click the button."
"It has very good pricing per instance and comes with three options, for both small and large environments, to fit your needs."
"The price is not cheap, nor is it costly."
"The pricing and licensing on AWS is fine, because you can do it for smaller tiers depending on your number of instances, so it's not that scary."
"It's very economical and worth the cost."
"AWS adds more features and offer things for free, or cheaply. Therefore, we will be evaluating AWS Data Lifecycle Manager, because it will probably do backups. Thus, make sure the product that you are using is competitive or adds more value than AWS."
"We are looking into how we can extend the license of this product."
"I think that this is one of the most cost-effective solutions."
"The price of the solution could be cheaper. There are monthly or yearly subscription options available. The annual subscription tends to be cheaper."
"The pricing of Veeam Cloud Connect is good."
"The licensing is MSP-based. It is connected to the portal, and you can deploy it to your end users as well."
"The licensing fee is on a monthly basis."
"The price of the solution is reasonable because of our good standing with the vendor."
"It's not the cheapest solution on the market but it's reliable, so we find it cost-effective."
