The streamlined process of getting policies out to all staff in a quick efficient manner has been most valuable.
Currently we have monthly competencies that the 2 Staff Development Departments would initiate by a manual paper process and have to track staff down for all 3 shifts. Since we have started placing these items on Policytech, we have had a much better compliance rate as the staff are able to do it and it automatically records responses and results. Staff either read a document or view a powerpoint and then have a survey to answer, they have to receive a passing grade and if they pass they then receive the competency for that specific training. What we would like to add would be to be able to have Templates for certificates as we have different types of programs that have specific required documentation on the certificates, currently the certificates are one size fits all and that doesn’t work for us. So we are running a weekly report and manually send staff certificates. Another area is tracking Writer, Reviewer, and Approver statuses.

Centralized management strengthens compliance with good look and feel
From my perspective as a customer and end user, Archer has an impressive look and feel, but the most adaptive feature is its ease of configuration which helps to enhance our process according to our maturity. It's more about our organization getting centralized with an integrated approach that focuses on risk governance and compliance. When can provide a detailed dashboards to management with the details of risks from top-down or bottom-up prioritizing actions based on its criticality or necessity. This allows us to show end users and management where the issues lie and effectively demonstrate accountability and visibility in compliance.

Pros

"PolicyTech has probably been the most reliable solution we have and it's been the most stable solution over the last eight years, compared to any other information technology solution we've had."
"The company is always timely, they always have good suggestions, and they always have quick fixes for me."
"Before choosing, there were four different options that I was looking at, and going through all the tutorials and talking with the salespeople really sold me on NAVEX Global because I thought they were the gold standard for that type of policy format."
"This solution gives an opportunity for anonymous hotline complaints."
"The streamlined process of getting policies out to all staff in a quick efficient manner has been most valuable."

"Integration is another great aspect of RSA Archer. From the beginning, integration has been a central focus for RSA, and Archer has always integrated well with most tools on the market today."
"It is enterprise-wide accessible. So, it is very helpful for all the employees in our bank. They can log in and do their risk management activities. It has a few inbuilt modules that are helpful for doing risk management activities, such as issue management, risk identification, risk assessment, and policy exception management. It also has some inbuilt workflows inside these modules. They are also helpful."
"The solution's most valuable features are data feeds, templates, reports, dashboards, and workload management."
"RSA Archer is a valuable tool because it can manage the end-to-end functioning of any enterprise GRC module, such as compliance and risk management or business continuity plans and the entire BCM module."
"Flexible record permissions and data import features."
"The product is very flexible."
"From my perspective as a customer and end user, RSA is about the look and feel."

Cons

"Recent product update led to confusion."
"The one thing that I noticed was, it times out sometimes."
"We had some problems in middle of July, when we stopped getting our email notifications."
"What we would like to add would be to be able to have templates for certificates as we have different types of programs that have specific required documentation on the certificates, currently the certificates are one size fits all and that doesn’t work for us."
"Truthfully, the hardest part is that there are some little setup things that need to be done before people can actually use PolicyTech."
"Uploading PDFs is more time consuming and you have to go in and out of multiple screens/functions."
"There is an area on the “New Case” screen that I have reported a while back that when we click the drop down box to select state, then onto select the city, the state selection selected is deselected, it’s selected again and the city is deselected but after a couple of selections with it only in that area it does maintain the selection."
"We get a huge amount of complaints from users about the email system. They get lots and lots of emails, and they don’t necessarily have a good way to manage them."
"It would be useful for customers if COBIT 2019 could be translated into different languages."
"Because I have not upgraded, the graphical user interface is not the current one. It is not very modern and as user-friendly as it could be."
"It's resource-hungry, that's the best way of putting it."
"Solution could use more inbuilt applications."
"We evaluated Archer but at the time its poor support for Basel (e.g. cap allocation) was a deal stopper for us."
"There should be a way to export and get data from the system in PDF or PowerPoint presentation format. This would be a great addition."
"The management agrees that Archer lacks in terms of presentation and dashboarding. It is complex, not user-friendly, and bulky."
"Some areas are not truly automated but are only scheduled."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"I am not 100% familiar with that, especially with their new model. I just know that the way they've licensed per user to scale is good."
"The initial purchase is cheap. You pay a nominal price to start then renew the license annually. You also must buy a license for each module. I'm not too fond of that aspect of the licensing model. You buy the elephant and then spend more money to feed the elephant."
"The price of RSA Archer is good. The price isn't too high considering it is a leading tool in the market."
"The solution's price should be reduced. You only have to pay the license and there are no additional fees."
"Fairly highly-priced, especially for smaller companies."
"The pricing is okay. The licensing costs are very reasonable; it is very affordable to us."
"The license is costly for the solution, but the remaining set up and maintenance is quite cheaper."
"The price of the solution is very affordable."
