Has connected financial data across departments and improved future cash flow planning
I would like to improve the integration with other solutions, as I need everything integrated, like the HR module, purchase module, SCM, production, and engineering. Each and every module should be connected to the finance module, and I think Oracle provides the right solution. Also, SAP, IFS, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 offer some solutions, but I am not as happy with them as I am with Oracle. I believe that Oracle E-Business Suite could improve by transitioning from Java-based scripts in our system to a web-based environment. While Oracle already has JD Edwards available in web-based format, I think it needs to be smoother for optimization and presentation in the future. In comparison, IFS is fully web-based, and all applications are sufficiently good and user-friendly. We are developing and trying to improve to a web-based setup, but it is currently too costly.

Integrated finance and HR have supported growth while support and on-premise limits need work
Unit4 ERP7 will not be improved as it is no longer supported by Unit4. The cloud ERP CR and ERP X do have clear roadmaps available to customers. Many of the gaps have been filled by the ERP suite of products. New improvements will include AI agents to automate finance and HR processes.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I like Oracle ERP for streamlining the entire process from PRTL and invoice payments."
"Accessing vital information on the dashboard: I can customize summarized reports to be available on the dashboard."
"I would probably say that the biggest benefit for the company is just having all of the information under one umbrella, in one central location."
"Thanks to Oracle EBS, we can manage all company processes (inventory, manufacturing, logistic and finance) on one platform."
"It's integrated, and for any ERP solution, that’s really where the value comes in; just one solution to cover a whole bunch of areas and having the integration."
"It is a single-point solution, where we use one application that connects to a lot of systems, as opposed to trying to buy multiple best-of-breed systems or integrating them together; instead of having a lot of features in one system."
"Its drag-and-drop features make data distribution a breeze."
"Has good dashboard and drill-down features."
"The financial features are the most valuable because we did not have good financial software and our organization had been growing."
"Agresso includes a set of reporting and analytic tools that can be used to create a variety of reports unlike traditional ERP."
"We try not to do customization, but we do configuration, and the configuration is extremely flexible with many options for integrations as well."
"The Unit4 ERP product is very flexible and can be configured to fit most business processes."
"Unit4 Business World is a reliable product."
"The product's self-service capabilities have benefited our organization."
"Unit4 Business World's most valuable feature is flexibility. Its dashboards are easy."

Cons

"We didn't go with the standard features of the Oracle SOA Suite in which the Oracle APIs were included; these APIs we wrote on our own. If we had used the standard ones, which were a part of the Oracle SOA Suite, it could have been better for us."
"For smaller ERP solutions, Oracle EBS is a complex solution which has complex requirements."
"The interface is pretty old."
"Technical support is poor currently. They are focusing more on the cloud rather than customers that are on-premise."
"The main challenge has been the annual maintenance cost."
"The user interface is not completely a web interface, it uses a lot of traffic which costs too much for a large number of users scattered throughout the country as they connect from their terminals to do their tasks."
"The level of technical support depends on who you get. Sometimes they'll lag along and we have to keep prodding them and babysit the ticket."
"We have dealt with customer service, and it was awful. For a system this size, it felt like we were merely buying software from them."
"Limited industries covered - Agresso lacks some key modules"
"I would like to see direct communication support to engage with clients. The parent company should have a direct relationship with clients. Also, the tool's licensing, upgrade, and maintenance costs should be reduced."
"Well, the commercial section is the worst in this company (0/10), al menos in our case."
"Reporting and analytics features must be improved."
"For people on-premise, customer service is not great. During these 12 years, the quality of support has been a significant issue."
"I would like to see more flexibility in the customization for us to be able to customize it based on the client's requirements."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The license is very expensive and I think that it needs to be cheaper to get a wider range of users or customers."
"Compared to other vendors like SAP or Microsoft, the prices for Oracle are reasonable, but they could always be lower."
"Licensing and costing of Oracle EBS is very complex. We recommend to use a system integrator during the negotiation process since Oracle sales representatives sometime do not know the actual minimum requirements and may oversell the necessary licenses through ignorance."
"The pricing is high."
"Oracle scales the pricing, but E-Business Suite is still very expensive for small to mid-sized businesses."
"Oracle has different licensing models available. For example, concurrent user license metric and power unit licensing metric. It is different from product to product, but for the application itself, the license is by the number of users."
"At the time of purchasing the license the price was reasonable."
"The price of the solution is extremely high."
"I rate the solution's pricing a five out of ten."
