Enables us to prioritize and effectively address critical security issues
Evidence-based reporting helps us to prioritize and solve critical security issues. The new visualization feature demonstrates how an attacker can enter the system, highlighting the potential path that can be exploited and outlining all the steps the attacker could take. With that visibility, we can ensure the perimeter is strong and attackers cannot enter, thus reducing the risk. It has helped us prioritize issues. The visibility into how an attack could happen is valuable. For example, it highlights the system vulnerability and outlines where an attack could propagate. The visualization helps me to prioritize remediation, and if I don't know where to start, I can check to see the score that enables me to prioritize issues. I am using infrastructure-as-code scanning, and it's one of the useful features. In pre-production, it identifies embedded secrets and misconfigurations, including issues with Kubernetes or some privileged containers. This feature allows us to pass the audit and secure IaC code so that it isn't easily exploitable by attackers. We can more proactively work to identify and resolve vulnerabilities by using the dashboard and the alerting system that SentinelOne provides. It helps us with audits and compliance. We can show the compliance in percentage. We can confidently say that our company or infrastructure is very secure. It has improved our security posture by 30% to 35%. It has reduced our false positives by 30%. It has helped teams collaborate better. The security team manages SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security, and when it flags vulnerabilities, they are forwarded to DevOps for remediation. Previously, we needed to identify and report the issues, but there would be lapses in communication. Now, there is a centralized dashboard that anyone can look at and see the open issues and work on them.

A centralized tool for vulnerability and misconfiguration management in a multiple cloud environment
Qualys TotalCloud provides written explanations to help guide the remediation paths and eliminate cyber risk. We are using TruRisk for the remediations. The TruRisk shows anything critical, and we can then focus on that. We also assess manually whether an asset is a critical target or not. Qualys TotalCloud provides a single, prioritized view of risk. We are using CIS-CAT standards to harden our clouds, such as AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure. We are able to analyze the scans and identify which policies have failed and how we can remediate them. We can customize policies as per our organization's requirements. That is very helpful for us. With the TruRisk Insights feature, security has significantly improved. In six months of using it, we see that everything is under control. We've solved many problems related to asset management, cloud configuration, and the new asset identification. If an application team has onboarded any cloud asset, we can see that. We have that information now.

Has reduced investigation time by correlating application and infrastructure events
Sweet Security has room for improvement in two areas. One is for robust integration with automations and playbooks. We have our internally developed platform that operates around security incident playbooks, so the connection between those two systems would be great. The option to run specific playbooks through the Sweet Security platform would help us a lot, but these must be fully customizable. We prefer not to block the business from progressing unless we are fully sure that it is an incident. Most of the actions I would take would revolve around containment or notification on a specific platform and not via email or similar communications. The second area is around the code perspective. I know it's just the start of a long journey that Sweet Security is going to go through to become a platform that also handles code, but I would expect options for a complete analysis and writing policies for infrastructure as code. The next great thing that Sweet Security can do is to turn toward IAC, how it is handled and enforced, to tackle potential breaches of policy before they really happen.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We liked the search bar in SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security. It is a global search. We were able to get some insights from there."
"SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security released a new security graph tool that helps us identify the root issue. Other tools give you a pass/fail type of profile on all misconfigurations, and those will run into the thousands. SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security's graphing algorithm connects various components together and tries to identify what is severe and what is not. It can correlate various vulnerabilities and datasets to test them on the back end to pinpoint the real issue."
"The management console is highly intuitive to comprehend and operate."
"Our organization is growing steadily, so our infrastructure is expanding, and we're managing more technical resources. Singularity Cloud Security helps us track our resources so that we don't get lost in the overwhelming volume of things and ensures we follow best practices. The solution gives us better visibility into our resources and enables faster resolution."
"I like CSPM the most. It captures a lot of alerts within a short period of time. When an alert gets triggered on the cloud, it throws an alert within half an hour, which is very reasonable. It is a plus point for us."
"SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security's most valuable feature is its unified console."
"Our previous product took a lot of man hours to manage. Once we got Singularity Cloud Workload Security, it freed up our time to work on other tasks."
"SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security improved our risk posture significantly, helped reduce our mean time to detect and mean time to remediate, and enabled collaboration across cloud security, development, and AppSec teams, saving engineering time by approximately three to four hours."
"I would definitely recommend Qualys TotalCloud to other users."
"Vulnerability and threat detection and assessment of the criticality of the vulnerabilities exposed are most valuable."
"I appreciate TotalCloud's real-time protection and remediation features. The remediation options include automated one-click remedies and custom changes that help manage vulnerabilities efficiently."
"The most valuable feature of Qualys TotalCloud is the visibility it provides."
"We were able to realize its benefits within 24 to 48 hours."
"The most valuable feature of Qualys TotalCloud is the visibility it provides."
"While automatic inventory detection upon connection is a helpful feature, a truly valuable capability would be assessing an environment's security posture against Azure and CIS best practices."
"Qualys TotalCloud's most valuable features are its security capabilities that help identify and mitigate risk factors."
"The value of having real-time visibility in our cloud environment with Sweet Security changes everything because it differentiates between identifying and reacting to something that is not really a risk and something that is truly a risk that needs to be treated."
"The value we see from having real-time visibility into our cloud environment is significant, as Sweet Security serves as our eyes and ears inside AWS, telling us what we are doing wrong so we can fix it."
"Before we had Sweet Security, upon any type of detection of activity, we needed to conduct lots of investigations in different platforms and logs until we could build the larger picture, but once we inserted Sweet Security, we are able to actually see each and every request being made from the application level towards the infrastructure, making it much easier and reducing the time for an analyst to understand what's really happening."

Cons

"The alerting system of the product is an area that I look at and sometimes get confused about. I feel the alerting feature needs improvement."
"The SentinelOne customer support needs improvement, as they are sometimes late in responding, which is critical in a production issue."
"In addition to the console alerts, I would like SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security to also send email notifications."
"Singularity Cloud Security currently lacks a break-glass account function, which is a critical component for implementing Single Sign-On as it allows for regaining access in emergencies."
"We had a glitch in SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security where it fed us false positives in the past."
"I believe the UI/UX updates for SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security have room for improvement."
"SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security's current documentation could be improved to better assist customers during the cluster onboarding process."
"In version 2, a lot of rules have been deployed for Kubernetes security and CDR, which makes a lot of issues of critical severity, whereas they are not critical or of high severity. There is a mismatch of severities."
"Qualys TotalCloud needs to improve its accuracy for non-Windows operating systems."
"The onboarding process is a bit difficult. In the initial phase, it is very difficult to understand the features, what the dashboard contains, and what criteria they are using."
"The support is not up to the mark and seems to be overburdened."
"We would like to see Windows-based sensors available in Qualys, as this would make the platform more versatile and support a broader range of environments."
"Qualys' customer service provides quality answers, but the response time is long, even though it is within the SLA."
"With the growing integration of AI, I would like Qualys to enhance its service offerings to better accommodate AI-related risks."
"Their customer support needs improvement."
"There is room for improvement in the support."
"One area for improvement could be the alerts, as we have an issue with the alert time, the time it takes for the system to send the alert, but besides that, there is nothing special."
"The option to run specific playbooks through Sweet Security platform would help us a lot, but these must be fully customizable."
"There was something a year ago that caused a production issue in my company, but they fixed it within an hour."

"The pricing is comparable. It is built into our other product, so I cannot piecemeal it. It is a part of our subscription."
"It isn't cheap, but it's reasonable. It helps us to manage things with very few resources."
"While Qualys TotalCloud's pricing is currently acceptable, it is becoming increasingly expensive and may soon be considered overpriced."
"Qualys TotalCloud offers competitive pricing given its comprehensive suite of features, including integration, assessment, remediation, and detection capabilities, all within a single platform."
"I am not sure about the pricing. From what I understand, it is a bit on the higher side, but I do not have the exact numbers."
"Although Qualys TotalCloud is relatively expensive due to its unique automation features, its cost-effectiveness is rated an eight out of ten, with ten being the most costly."
"Qualys TotalCloud offers good pricing that is affordable and competitive with the market. Our partnership also provides us with additional benefits."
