The best features Everpure FlashBlade offers, which stand out to both me and our customers, are its exceptional performance for AI and analytics workloads, its ability to scale seamlessly, its unified file and object storage architecture, and simplicity of management. Customers also value the fast backup and recovery capabilities, which are critical for cyber resiliency strategies. One of the challenges we face in Brazil is the price point. Everpure FlashBlade is a premium solution, and for many customers, the initial investment can be difficult to justify unless they have very demanding workloads such as AI, large-scale analytics, high performance, or cyber recovery. Because of this, our focus is on identifying customers where the business value and performance benefits clearly outweigh the cost. Since we have not yet deployed Everpure FlashBlade in production with a customer in Brazil with TDCX, I cannot speak from direct operational experience regarding its positive impact. However, Everpure FlashBlade has helped us engage in strategic conversations around AI, cyber resiliency, and modern data architectures. We have Everpure FlashBlade available in Brazil with TDCX for proof of concept activities, which allows customers to validate performance, scalability, and their real-world use cases before making an investment decision. This has been a significant asset in the presales and technology evangelization process and has helped customers understand the business value of Everpure FlashBlade. We have a proof of concept with a customer called M. Dias Branco in Lardas in Brazil. The project is in progress and we hope to close this sale this year.

Offers reliable performance and availability for large deployments

I would like to see improvements in Red Hat Ceph Storage not because I necessarily think it needs improvement, but because I generally prefer to do things manually rather than following the containerization part. Current deployments are based on containers, but I deploy manually with my scripts and controls. If there are no Kubernetes-like requirements, I often prefer to deploy a whole manual process. I don't ask for improvements in the deployment model because Red Hat has its own philosophy about making things, but it's my personal choice that I prefer things manually. Some features are available only in the containerization part, so if those are also available in manual deployment, that will help.

The separation of metadata from object data significantly influences storage performance, as metadata uses NVMe flash storage, serving as an accelerator for accessing data. While data resides on traditional spinning hard disk drives, using NVMe storage for metadata allows for fast access to data, especially for large volumes and a large number of objects. The performance regarding metadata is particularly vital when managing a high number of objects; thus, dedicating servers and fast storage to metadata improves handling those large object counts, which we optimized during our operations, resulting in satisfactory outcomes. The improvement with Scality RING is the ability to manage huge volumes and the easy scalability when dealing with capacity growth and management. We can buy servers, install them, and hot upgrade the capacity without requiring downtime. Everything is available through an API, allowing end users to manage their storage conveniently without needing requests or tickets; they can allocate, delete, and move storage as required, making operations easier for the end user.
