Automated threat response has ensured uninterrupted operations and provides clear 24x7 security visibility
One feature which we would like to have in the product is the inventory. For example, if I have the agent installed on each machine and server, why can't we fetch the inventory details from the console? If you look at the competition products such as CrowdStrike, they give clear visibility into what software is installed, what legitimate tools are installed, and what software is not even licensed or may not be secure to install. Those things are reported back to the concerned team, maybe the systems teams, and they can use it brilliantly. Unfortunately, Sophos Cybersecurity as a Service doesn't provide that kind of visibility into what software or tools are installed on a particular system. There is a feature which requires running what you call an XG script to fetch those kinds of details. However, it is not on the GUI as other competitor companies are providing. That is the one feature we really miss. In terms of service and support, I don't think there is an issue because it is already a brilliant five-star service support. The visibility feature that I already mentioned is the only primary feature which we are missing. The rest is absolutely fine. I don't think there is anything else which should be there.

Regarding WSO2 API Manager, I have no drawbacks or areas for improvement. However, regarding the Micro Integrator, I had some issues while developing complex services because it was mainly designed to be used for simple services, not complex ones. While using complex services, I encountered some issues. I communicated this with WSO2, and they released other products that solved everything related to my concern. These products were released before my concern was raised. When I explored them, they were pretty good, and I did not see the same issues I had experienced. WSO2 is enhancing themselves, and their products are fine. The previous concern was about the previous product, so it is resolved now since there are new products available. I would like WSO2 to improve quality or response time in support, or both.

"The most beneficial feature of WSO2 API Manager is its capability to use Swagger to define and then populate the API."
"The solution is open-source, fully containerized with a micro-gateway, scales up and down easily, is not a monolith, and offers a flexible stack with components like a micro-integrator, analytics, streaming integration, and identity access management that fit well to my requirements."
"I think the best part about WSO2 API Manager is that it's highly customizable because it's open-source."
"WSO2 API Manager's most valuable features are the simple interface that is easy to use and the APIs lifecycle."

Cons

"While Sophos Cybersecurity as a Service has been very effective, I would like to see more customizable reports that are perhaps more intuitive or easier for the different departments."
"Unfortunately, Sophos Cybersecurity as a Service doesn't provide that kind of visibility into what software or tools are installed on a particular system."
"Sophos Cybersecurity as a Service is continuously consuming more resources, which leads to slower PC performance, so reducing resource consumption would be better for both Sophos products and our sales."
"I would like to see improvements in the speed of the solution as it can be a bit slow compared to other platforms along with addressing memory issues would be beneficial."
"If you are working with the open-source version, sometimes depending on the version, you need to deal with some issues and bugs."

"I wouldn't actually recommend this to anyone. Personally, I wouldn't recommend this solution at all."
"The user interface provides all functionalities to configure and manage the product, however its usability, especially for first-time users, is a little bit rough compared to the UI of other commercial API Managers."
"WSO2 API Manager could improve by adding external API security features, which is one area where there is room for enhancement. Internally, API security is strong, and all other necessary features are already available. It has a solid marketplace, supports both Docker and standalone setups, and offers great enterprise integration. The developer portal has greatly improved the user experience, making it simple and user-friendly wherever we’ve implemented it. Overall, it’s not as complicated as other API gateways."
"The tool's commercial aspect could be improved. Pricing varies with partners, so selecting the appropriate pricing can be challenging."
"I think they could greatly improve the general UX with their solutions."
