We use RSA Authentication Manager for web applications and internal applications. We have a number of applications connected to it, serving over thirty thousand clients. It is integrated into everything from our standard login to Windows in the morning, as well as our applications.

Due to its long-standing implementation, we have embedded nearly everything within RSA Authentication Manager. It has never caused failures, which is crucial for us as we operate 24/7 as airline suppliers.

For us, the single sign-on feature is the most important. Additionally, its integration with Microsoft products is highly effective for our security management.

RSA Authentication Manager is perfect. We do not see current missing products or enhancements yet emphasize the importance of a continuous development roadmap.

I have been using RSA Authentication Manager for a really long time. I am a long-time customer.

We have never had any problems with the systems, and we've had 24/7 uptime for more than twenty years.

Technical support works perfectly. With their help, we've never had serious downtime.

We are both a customer and integration partner, sometimes selling and sometimes integrating the product.

Security management is outside of the frame of cost savings, so we do not discuss cost savings.

Pricing is around two to four dollars per user, but we have a frame contract with RSA, so we do not pay the list price. The price is okay given our size. It is not cheap, however, it's acceptable.

Our main competitor is not specific products, but the cloud providers themselves like Microsoft, which may provide similar products for free.

RSA Authentication Manager is the best available solution. However, for other companies, it might seem expensive. It's important for RSA to keep developing new features and maintain a robust roadmap.

I'd rate the solution ten out of ten.

We use it to enhance the security of our Cisco VPN connections and for custom-developed applications. These applications communicate with RSA via APIs, enabling us to leverage RSA's two-factor authentication capabilities. This means that every time a user attempts to log in to these applications, RSA prompts them to complete a two-factor authentication process. It is also integrated into our file transfer application, EF GST, which operates on a global scale and enables seamless connectivity with EF GST, demonstrating its versatility in integrating with a wide range of applications.

It stands out as a comprehensive and adaptable solution that excels in both on-premises and cloud-based authentication, offers strong security with multi-layered authentication, and boasts a well-maintained product with reliable performance.

Enhancing the user interface and expanding their marketing efforts in regions like Nigeria and West Africa could be beneficial.

I have been using it for thirteen years.

It provides impressive stability capabilities.

It offers excellent scalability abilities.

It has one of the finest support teams in the industry which is on par with another prominent OEM, Cisco. What sets RSA apart is their commitment to customer service. They don't close your support cases without proper notification, ensuring that you are always informed of the status. If their support team encounters challenging issues that require additional expertise, they will escalate the case to a senior colleague to ensure it's thoroughly resolved.

It introduced pre-installed software and hardware solutions, making the setup process much more user-friendly. They began providing step-by-step guidance, and you can easily find comprehensive deployment guides on the RSA website.

As a new customer, the minimum cost would be four dollars, but you have room for negotiation, potentially bringing it down to as low as three dollars.

I highly recommend it because when you compare RSA with other products, it has consistently stood out. In the past, one area where people encountered challenges was in terms of price flexibility, but it significantly improved. You can now negotiate, discuss terms, and work with it to achieve a pricing arrangement that suits your needs, and if they recognize you as a loyal customer, they are more than willing to accommodate your requirements and reach mutually agreeable terms. Overall, I would rate it around nine out of ten when considering factors like durability, data performance, scalability, integration, and security, and excels in these areas.

Our customers primarily use the product for VPN access to secure their VPN connections and protection for on-premise applications. One notable advantage of the solution is its capability to protect legacy authentication systems that utilize older security protocols.

The platform significantly enhances security by reducing the risk of attacks involving stolen accounts or credentials. This reduction in security breaches results in cost savings and lessens the financial damage for our customers.

The product's capabilities to protect cloud environments need improvement. Additionally, a more advanced management console or portal for cloud applications and more comprehensive documentation for end users would be beneficial.

I have been working with RSA Authentication Manager for approximately four years.

I rate the product stability a nine. 

The platform is highly scalable. 

The technical support services are good. However, there is always room for improvement.

The initial setup process is relatively straightforward. It involves uploading the software image and configuring the network. The availability of integration documentation also facilitates an easier deployment process. It is typically deployed in a hybrid setup, with some customers using it on-premises and others protecting their cloud environments. It usually takes two to three days to complete if there are no significant issues. 

The solution is costly. However, it is reasonable given its quality and features. It offers value for money, similar to other high-end products.

RSA Authentication Manager is a robust solution that provides comprehensive protection for both on-premise and cloud-based applications. It is well-suited for enterprises seeking extensive protection across various environments.

The hardware token feature stands out as particularly effective. It is straightforward and user-friendly, making it ideal for non-technical users, including older individuals who may need to become more familiar with complex technologies.

The risk-based authentication feature adapts and learns from various parameters or attributes, allowing for a more refined authentication policy. It helps maintain a secure environment by tailoring authentication measures based on user location or device.

I rate it an eight out of ten. 

Our primary use case is for just some integration between the authentication to the Fortinet VPN.

The most valuable features are multifactor authentication and simple on-prem implementation.

There is room for improvement in the RSA support. Only the technical support needs to be improved. The technical support must be on-site because in Indonesia and Asia-Pacific regions, I think the technical support should stay in Atlas Singapore RAN. Because right now, the technical support is not based in the Singapore region. If I'm not mistaken, it's from an agent.

So technical support needs to stay in the Singaporean area for us to be more comfortable.

I have been working with RSA Authentication Manager for three months. 

It is a stable solution. I would rate the stability a nine out of ten. 

I would rate the scalability an eight out of ten. We currently have over six clients for this solutions. 

The initial setup is easy. I would rate my experience with the initial setup an eight out of ten, where one being difficult and ten being easy. 

The deployment is quite simple. It took our team only two hours to deploy the solution. However, for the process, at least customers need to prepare the applications to be integrated, and as long as we have the list, it's easier for us to do the implementation.

I would rate the pricing an eight out of ten, where one being cheap and ten being expensive. 

I would recommend using the solution. 

Overall, I would rate the solution a nine out of ten. 

The most valuable feature is the SecurID.

Our major problem is the authentication via Microsoft, via Microsoft cloud systems. This is our major aim, to be a valued product for the future. The biggest problem is to work against cheap cloud systems. Cloud identification is our main problem at this time.

RSA Authentication Manager could have better integration with cloud systems.

I have been using RSA Authentication Manager for approximately 25 years.

The solution is stable. We have not had a problem.

We have only enterprise customers.

The technical support has been great. Their service is perfect.

The installation is straightforward.

The pricing is a little bit complicated because sometimes resellers are able to make prices that are too low. Our price, with a discount, is typically not as high as some of our competitors.

We found technical support was not very responsive to our requests for assistance. 

The setup was complex, and there were complex folders that were not easy to install. We used a consultant to help us implement the solution. 

We use this solution for authentication needs.

The advantage to this solution is the two-factor authentication. It is a very trusted part of the solution. It provides benefits usch as secure application access in terms of remote VPN, application security, and WiFi security.

The most valuable feature is the provision part. The mapping and the logging is also very good. In addition, the troubleshooting (from a console point of view) is easy for administration and on the provisioning and logging part.

We have users throughout the world, and this current solution is causing us a lot of manual effort, and lots of back-end inventory management. We want to avoid all of these things. So, that is the overall learning solution we are looking for. In addition, the features of RSA are lagging. In terms of the cloud, and of appliation, they are providing application security on-boarding with the two-factor authentication for RSA. We are seeing a lot of difficult issues in terms of RSA, especially the cloud-based two-factor authentication process. We find issues with the application of the Android, i-Pad or other Apple products two-factor authentication solutions. There are significant issues with MobilePASS authentication.

We have encountered issue when trying to expand this particular solution for a large set of users across the country.

Easy setup, deployment, and integration in different infrastructures, including virtual ones.

Yes, it was quiet straightforward after carefully reading and following the setup manual and documentation.

No, we decided to use RSA because of the easy integration with VMware infra.

I would recommend it, very good product for implementing 2FA.

It does what we want it to do, has nice security administration features and built in reporting and other provisions.

It provides effective two factor authentication for remote users. The product has features that provide varying authentication mechanisms -

• Hard hand held RSA tokens
• Soft tokens (software tokens for Smartphones)
• OnDemand one-time token authentication for vendors that may need access

Provisions for decentralized administration and Help Desk/Service Desk problem resolution have been incorporated into the product architecture, with built-in separation of duties. Examples include but are not limited to such events as -

• Resolving authentication issues
• Verifying the identities of those individuals that call with remote access issues
• Auditing/logging all activities, etc.

The product has addressed our remote access security needs while making our work force mobile thus enhancing productivity and customer service initiatives. This means people can work after hours, on weekends or during inclement weather conditions to support the business enterprise.

Over the fifteen years I’ve used RSA security solutions the vendor (EMC) has addressed customer security concerns and implemented enhancements in new releases of the program product.

I have used RSA for two different employers for approximately 15 years. During this time period I’ve worked on approximately five different product releases. At this time, my security team administers the RSA security solution for approximately fifteen hundred end users.

Not that I am aware of.

Stability and integrity of the product and how it provides reliable two factor authentication is good.

I am not aware of any problems. All system upgrades went smoothly from an administrative perspective. I believe the Server Engineers could say the same if you asked them. My observation over the years is that the system upgrades can be complicated and must be well planned out to address 'what if' issues, including backing off upgrades if necessary.

Very good. I have not experienced any problems with customer service, however your support agreement with the vendor should be valid, up to date to prevent any issues.

From an administrative perspective I would say technical support is very good.

I have only used RSA products the past fifteen years and have not looked at any other solutions.

From a security administration standpoint I would submit that set up is straight forward and end user friendly.

We had an in-house team of server, Help Desk and Security Administration personnel implement this security solution.
