I use the solution in my company for the development of applications.
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature of the solution is that it offers an integrated development environment.
What needs improvement?
Sometimes, when our company develops using the latest technology, the knowledge is not yet cycled down to the tool's support team. The tool's support team is not mature enough to handle the tool.
The promotion of a feature before it is mature may cause issues, and I feel that sometimes the deployment of such features is a little too early. The tool will release a feature, but it will have bugs in it. We face challenges because the tool's team doesn't have the knowledge to deal with the issues in the product's new features. When SAP develops something, if the tool's team doesn't know how to support it, it becomes a problem because now we have to access developers to get the information that is not readily available.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using SAP Build Process Automation for two years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
My company has faced stability issues whenever there has been a new release of the product since the solution team does not have the right knowledge to deal with any issues that crop up in the platform. Stability-wise, I rate the solution an eight to nine out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The product is suitable for medium to large-scale businesses. Small businesses may face challenges when using the product.
How are customer service and support?
The solution's technical support is above average but not excellent. I rate the technical support a seven out of ten.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Neutral
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I can't compare SAP products with other tools since I have mostly worked with only SAP-based tools.
How was the initial setup?
In general, the implementation process of the product is fine. I don't think there are any challenges with the implementation part.
The time required to deploy the product is something that depends on the complexity of the project. It could take anywhere from one week to four weeks to implement the basic tool. You can look at four to six weeks for any development.
What was our ROI?
The tool helps reduce the time required for development. I have seen 20 to 30 percent reduction in development time.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The product is not cheaply priced. In a development environment, the tool simplifies landscape management, etc. Whether the product is expensive or not depends on the customers. Smaller customers might find it expensive, but it might be well within their budget for enterprise customers.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
My company chooses to stay with SAP products since we have its licenses.
What other advice do I have?
In terms of the product's impact on operational efficiency, I would say that the speed of development has generally increased in the tool when compared to its older versions since it is more integrated now.
The tool simplifies integrations to the main SAP systems. The enhancements have been the simplification of the integration between SAP components.
My company has not used any AI features in the tool.
I can recommend the tool to large companies, especially those that want to stick with SAP products.
I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
