A cost-effective and scalable solution, but it should have a more user-friendly dashboard
Pros and Cons
  • "The most valuable features of the solution were the deployment and onboarding."
  • "The solution should have a more user-friendly dashboard because its current dashboard is not so great."

What is our primary use case?

We deployed SAP SuccessFactors Learning for LMS (learning management system). We have created our own content and made mandatory courses for a few lines of business.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable features of the solution were the deployment and onboarding. The solution's customization and reporting were very easy. The solution's interface is very user-friendly when creating or consuming course content.

What needs improvement?

The solution should have a more user-friendly dashboard because its current dashboard is not so great. It would be more helpful if it could be integrated with the standard integration available with SAC. That would help the managers, supervisors, and department heads.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using SAP SuccessFactors Learning for eight years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution's stability is challenging because of the inherent problems that come with a cloud solution.

I rate the solution a six out of ten for stability.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

SAP SuccessFactors Learning is a scalable solution. Around 1,000 users use the solution in our organization.

I rate the solution a nine out of ten for scalability.

How was the initial setup?

On a scale from one to ten, where one is difficult and ten is easy, I rate the solution's initial setup an eight out of ten.

What about the implementation team?

A small team of six people deployed the solution in eight weeks in our organization.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a one out of ten.

What other advice do I have?

The solution's integration was homogeneous because it works with other SAP products. There were no issues, and we used the local APIs to connect.

We used to generate weekly and monthly reports, and there were jobs or schedules created for reporting based on the date of onboarding and an employee's role. That used to help the immediate supervisor and the employee understand where they stood regarding the allocated courses or the learning path.

We faced challenges usually in the course content creation. That was our only challenge because we didn't have people who could create the content the way we wanted. Over a period of time, we could train a few of our internal employees to do that, and we were able to work on that challenge as well.

Now, subject matter experts would provide the content. A team would create the content and work with the subject matter expert to see how to deploy it. Then, a deployment plan is made, and the contents are rolled out.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning is a cloud-based solution.

Overall, I rate the solution a seven out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

The product is very stable and affordable, but it must make integrations more seamless
Pros and Cons
  • "I like the product because it has logically synchronized modules."
  • "The product must make the integrations more seamless."

What is our primary use case?

The solution has provision to create libraries within it. It also allows us to group our content as a curriculum or as programs within the system. People take courses on the system, which allocates different certifications to the users. The users’ competencies are also awarded. We can take different assessments on the platform, and the system records the learning history.

What is most valuable?

I like the product because it has logically synchronized modules. It allows us to manage all our solutions. It makes a lot of sense.

What needs improvement?

The product must make the integrations more seamless. Integrations need to be more simplified than what it is at the moment.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using the solution since 2018. I am using the latest version of the solution.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The tool is very stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The tool is scalable because it is hosted by SAP in the cloud. In our organization, more than 100 people are using the solution.

How are customer service and support?

We only needed technical support when we wanted to integrate the system with Microsoft Teams. We had some issues, so we connected with them.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is straightforward. However, we need to understand how the tool works. The product also provides integrations with other platforms like Coursera and Udemy. There are different integration points. Depending on the level of complexity we have with our clients, we can set it up within the system. The deployment takes three to six months. It is a cloud-based solution.

What about the implementation team?

A consultant helped us with the integration. To deploy the product, we need to prepare and gather our client's requirements. Then, we must configure and test the system.

What was our ROI?

When our employees are trained, and we can track that training, we can get the best return on our investment.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The solution is really cheap. We pay an annual licensing fee for the product. Apart from the license cost, we may just have to pay for the implementation. There are no other costs associated with the tool.

What other advice do I have?

An organization must have a learning path in place before implementing the solution. Otherwise, it will delay the project. Overall, I rate the product a seven out of ten.

Easily configurable solution with impressive integration abilities
Pros and Cons
  • "The most valuable feature is the smooth integration."
  • "The flexibility and user-friendliness of the user's front end can be improved."

What is our primary use case?

We are working with different companies to provide services regarding SAP SuccessFactors and HXM.

How has it helped my organization?

The integration, scalability, and ways of employee training deployment have benefitted the organization. The information tracking with KPIs feature is one of the many reasons why I would recommend this solution.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature is the smooth integration with the rest of the solutions. The solution can also be easily configured.

Recently we did a project for a customer that involved redesigning a platform for learning using SAP SuccessFactors. We configured the front end and provided a new experience with the solution. We found that the solution's capabilities to integrate with SCRUM formats for the courses and training are essential. This solution allows the creation of integrated training courses in offline and online formats.

What needs improvement?

The flexibility and user-friendliness of the user's front end can be improved. Customers now desire a front-end that offers great flexibility and user-friendliness in their profile for the key user. Customers are more focused on the experience of the solution.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with SAP HXM solutions for the last fifteen years. When I started, I only worked with the on-premise version, but nowadays, we work with both on-premise and SuccessFactors solutions in hybrid environments.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would rate stability a ten out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I would rate scalability an eight out of ten.

How are customer service and support?

The support team is helpful, but the on-premise version's response time is not as fast as before. I would rate customer support a seven out of ten.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Neutral

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup process is quite easy. The process is highly focused on the training.

Implementation time for the solution depends on the customer's need and the size of the product. It can take between two to five months to implement the solution. Even for a minimum-scope project, it takes about two and a half months.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The solution is expensive, but it's a good product.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We have used Cegid in other projects, but Cegid is a smaller product in comparison, which is not well known.

What other advice do I have?

I would surely recommend this product to others. I would overall rate the solution a nine out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

On-premises

A stable solution that offers a lot of information
Pros and Cons
  • "The product offers a lot of information which we can share with systems."
  • "The product needs to improve its escalation system."

What is most valuable?

The product offers a lot of information which we can share with systems.

What needs improvement?

The product needs to improve its escalation system.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with the product for a year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would rate the product's stability a nine out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

My company has 10-12 users for the solution.

How are customer service and support?

The tool's support is not easy to contact.

How was the initial setup?

The product's setup is easy since SAP provides all the necessary information.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate the product an eight out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Provides friendly interface, strong catalog, and embedded training that is easy to use and explore
Pros and Cons
  • "The interface is really friendly, and the training embedded in it is very easy to use, explore, and search. The catalog is pretty strong."
  • "I am talking about SAP in general, so there are multiple screens that you have to go through, and it takes some time to get used to it."

What is our primary use case?

We use this solution for our company website. I use it either through my mobile or through my laptop and access the learning modules that are already there in the organization.

The entire organization is using this solution. It's about 500,000 users.

What is most valuable?

The interface is really friendly, and the training embedded in it is very easy to use, explore, and search. The catalog is pretty strong.

What needs improvement?

I am talking about SAP in general, so there are multiple screens that you have to go through, and it takes some time to get used to it.

The screens are friendly but rather than having a single interface, there are multiple layers.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using it for one month now.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It's stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution is scalable. The onboarding is simple for new employees. I think my company is planning to increase usage.

How are customer service and support?

Technical support is pretty strong. Even when there's an administrative issue, there is prompt involvement from SAP.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate this solution 8 out of 10.

It's there for a bigger organization. For smaller organizations, it does not make sense to invest in it. It's an enterprise-based solution for organizations that have more than 5,000 users.

Highly scalable, reliable, but poor interface
Pros and Cons
  • "SAP SuccessFactors Learning is highly stable and it is used by many companies."
  • "SAP SuccessFactors Learning's e-learning portal has a very poor interface when compared to Cornerstone or PeopleFluent. It's a very basic interface, but I know that it has a very good foundation."
  • "SAP is involved in many areas, but they are not strong in its e-learning modules. I would not recommend SAP SuccessFactors Learning because receiving an e-learning license, is very expensive."

What is our primary use case?

I have a bachelor's degree in information technology, and I have certain IT-related training, such as Azure Fundamentals or IT security courses from Microsoft.
All that kinds of training are assigned to me in SAP SuccessFactors Learning. I use this solution for training.

What needs improvement?

SAP SuccessFactors Learning's e-learning portal has a very poor interface when compared to Cornerstone or PeopleFluent. It's a very basic interface, but I know that it has a very good foundation.

In a feature release, they should provide a mobile application.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using SAP SuccessFactors Learning for approximately two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

SAP SuccessFactors Learning is highly stable and it is used by many companies. However, it can depend on how they are using the platform.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

SAP SuccessFactors Learning is highly scalable.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup of SAP SuccessFactors Learning is difficult because the processes are more strenuous compared to Cornerstone or PeopleFluent.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

SAP SuccessFactors Learning is an on-premise solution, there is a one-time fee, which will be given by a company during the implementation. Additionally, there are support fees, which are annual.

What other advice do I have?

SAP is involved in many areas, but they are not strong in its e-learning modules. I would not recommend SAP SuccessFactors Learning because receiving an e-learning license, is very expensive. I would rather purchase another smaller LMS, which supports e-learning.

I rate SAP SuccessFactors Learning a seven out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

On-premises

Beneficial accessibility, good support, and enjoyable users experience
Pros and Cons
  • "SAP SuccessFactors Learning's most valuable features are accessibility and updated UX, as the solution can be accessed from outside of the office network and the user's experience is good."
  • "The price of SAP SuccessFactors Learning could be better, it is expensive. There is an annual subscription. It's overpriced for small enterprises."

What is our primary use case?

We are using SAP SuccessFactors Learning for goals, performance, and learning management.

What is most valuable?

SAP SuccessFactors Learning's most valuable features are accessibility and updated UX. The solution can be accessed from outside of the office network and the user's experience is good.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using SAP SuccessFactors Learning for six years.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We have many people using this solution in my company from all departments. The solution is best suited for larges companies.

How are customer service and support?

The SAP support has been good.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We have not used another solution previously. We did processes manually.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup of SAP SuccessFactors Learning is a lot easier than the on-premise version.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The price of SAP SuccessFactors Learning could be better, it is expensive. There is an annual subscription. It's overpriced for small enterprises.

What other advice do I have?

My advice to others is they should already have processes figured out. SAP SuccessFactors Learning is for big companies, not for small ones. It is important to have their own processes laid out first so that when they start their workshops with SAP SuccessFactors Learning, they will operate smoothly other than building it from scratch.

I rate SAP SuccessFactors Learning an eight out of ten.

Ensures data consistency and accuracy, but the user interface needs improvement
Pros and Cons
  • "Cloud Solution enables accessing the system from the internet, with no need to be within the company network."
  • "Proven track record as the Vendor and SI spend hundreds of hours developing, testing, and researching the system (this results in fewer bugs, threats, and a more functional system)."
  • "This solution does not support right to left for the Arabic Language, and the Arabic text support is very bad."

What is our primary use case?

We primarily use this solution for Performance Management and E-Recruitment.

In this approach, a company decides to buy a Cloud package or system from a vendor. Unlike the custom development, which is designed with flexibility in mind and fits exactly into the business need of the company, a brought system can be inflexible as it is designed to be sold to various other companies and so it provides you with the same functionalities as everyone.

One of the main advantages of buying a Cloud solution, is that unlike the custom development that can take a long time to be developed and implemented, when buying a Cloud solution, it is already built and ready to be installed with ability to configure a limited business requirements.

How has it helped my organization?

  • Proven track record as the Vendor and SI spend hundreds of hours developing, testing, and researching the system (this results in fewer bugs, threats, and a more functional system).
  • No need for constant maintenance.
  • Implements best practices (this aligned with HR vision).
  • Real-time Data and Business Reporting In a wide range.
  • Data consistency and accuracy.
  • Mobility (the system can be accessed from smartphone platforms).

What is most valuable?

The most valuable features in this solution are:

  • Cloud Solution enables accessing the system from the internet, with no need to be within the company network.
  • Data Security
  • Implements best practices
  • Elimination of Redundancies (elimination of entering the same details multiple times for different purposes and double or duplicate entries).
  • Avoiding the Backup and Restore issue.

What needs improvement?

The UX & UI, including the GUI, need to be improved.

The system functionality is not customizable.

The company has to rely on the vendor for technical support when issues come up.

This solution does not support right to left for the Arabic Language, and the Arabic text support is very bad.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using this solution since 2014.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We were using an in-house developed system.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

A company is required to pay annual licensing fees.
