There are some areas where the GUI could be improved to make it easier to find and update privileged settings and policies. For example, when creating a PAM policy for Privileged, some of the scroll boxes are difficult to navigate. It would be easier if there were one-click options for checking and unchecking boxes rather than having to scroll down and select individual items. This would make the GUI more user-friendly for administrators and SOC teams. So, I would like to see the GUI made more user-friendly, especially for administrators and SOC teams. In future releases, I would like to be able to manage Sectona PAM by location. For example, I'm the global headquarters lead in India, and we have 200 locations around the world. I would like to be able to create sub-locations, so that when I click on support for a location, the configuration is separate. However, the monitoring should still be at the parent level.

The most valuable feature of Sectona Privileged Access Management for protecting Privileged accounts is its built-in launcher. Additionally, the single sign-on capability is good. Sectona's session recording feature is particularly noteworthy because it utilizes minimal storage. Instead of recording entire sessions, it captures activity only when necessary, optimizing storage space. The tool offers a unique feature called the plugin designer, which is distinct in the market. They don't charge for custom connectors; their plugin designer tool is user-friendly. End customers can use it to design the initial steps of connectors. The tool's session management significantly improves your security posture by completely isolating sessions from user devices. This means that even if a user's endpoint is vulnerable or infected, it will not compromise the server they are working on. The session runs on a secure, isolated PAM server; the user only interacts with it through a secure channel.

I'm familiar with Sectona's session management, including a feature called session collaboration, allowing the host to invite another user to join a session. It provides real-time monitoring and the ability to terminate sessions if unauthorized access is detected. Password rotation in Sectona is managed through defined policies, including character requirements and rotation intervals. Automated triggers ensure compliance and prevent manual password changes, contributing to security measures. My advice to new users is that if you are looking to secure your IT infrastructure and privileged accounts, consider trying Sectona PAM. It is a newer but promising solution that is growing in popularity. Overall, I would rate Sectona PAM as a nine out of ten.
