Sophos XG Reviews

We use Sophos XG to protect our perimeter network and internet access.

One of the most valuable features is the VPN.

Sophos XG should improve on the GDPR features involving data protection and encryption. Security regarding data protection is important.

I have been using Sophos XG since they bought Astaro, and it has been for approximately 15 years.

Sophos XG is stable. We've been using it for a long time. We had a lot of proposals from other vendors, but we decided to stick with Sophos.

We have found Sophos XG to be scalable.

We have approximately 150 people using the solution which includes people that do not know they are using it, collaborators, and administrators that work on it.

We had to use support a few times and the answers we received were straightforward and in a timely manner.

We were using other solutions previously. However, Sophos bought the companies that created them. We kept using the same solution but the name has changed.

The implementation of Sophos XG is not as straightforward as we would expect in the latest versions.

We used a company to do the implementation of Sophos XG. The process did not take very long, it took them approximately two weeks. It did not seem that difficult. Our experience with the vendor's support was very good.

We have a team of four that work on the Sophos XG for maintenance. They are not working on it full-time but they are all skilled to intervene if needed, and the first line of support for the solution.

Sophos XG is a very good solution, and it's cheaper than most of the other vendors. It is really affordable.

We are on a three-year license to use the solution.

I have evaluated other solutions, such as Check Point.

My advice to those wanting to implement this solution would be training is required for the implementation.

I rate Sophos XG an eight out of ten.

I'm aware that there are other solutions that are probably better than Sophos XG, such as Check Point. However, I still find that it's a very good solution for small to mid-size companies.

The solution is mostly a good firewall. 

The initial setup is pretty easy compared to other options on the market.

The product has been stable.

The solution can scale. 

Technical support is responsive. 

Sophos offers pretty good pricing.

The user interface could be better.

We find that the solution takes too long to load. It's slow. 

We've been dealing with the product for six or seven years at this point. It's been a while. 

The solution has been stable. We haven't had any bugs or glitches and it doesn't crash or freeze. It's reliable. 

We have customers of every size, including medium and enterprise-level.

The product can scale and if a company needs to expand it can do so.

Technical support is pretty good. We've been happy with their level of responsiveness. I have no complaints. 

The initial setup isn't too difficult or complex. It's pretty straightforward. 

We find the pricing to be reasonable and not overly expensive. 

We are a Sophos reseller. 

I'd rate the solution at a seven out of ten. If the graphical user interface was better and the performance was stronger, I would rate it higher. 

Overall the solution works well.

The reporting could be improved in this solution by adding more details.

I have been using this solution for approximately five years.

There used to be problems with the stability of the solution a few years ago but now the solution is stable and reliable.

We have approximately 400 users using this solution in my company and we plan to increase usage in the future.

The technical support has been good.

The initial installation is straightforward.

The solution is priced well.

I am satisfied with the solution.

I rate Sophos XG a seven out of ten.

Our main use case of this solution is to support internal clients with virus scanning on laptops and on critical processors.

An area of improvement would be the reporting as diagnostic graphs take a long time to load and refresh. If there could be an option to show only select graphs, it may speed up the graphics.

Most of the time we don't use the disk usage, memory or CPU graphs. The main graph we watch is the bandwidth usage.

Additionally, their previous update contained many bugs. They need to ensure that, before releasing a new version, there are not so many bugs.

I have been using this solution for two years.

The solution is stable.

We previously used Caveo Systems, but that was about 10 years ago.

The initial setup is very easy. The licensing and setting up of firewall rules takes some time, but the full deployment took about an hour.

The pricing is economical.

I recommend the solution due to its ease of use and pricing.

Sophos XG is used as a firewall to manage our WiFi connections.

The security of Sophos XG is very good.

Sophos XG could improve by coming out with more innovative feature developments.

The solution is secure, but security could always be better, they should work on perfecting the security of Sophos XG.

As our business grows we will increase the users using this solution.

I have not connected the technical support from Sophos XG. I have only used online support from websites which was good.

The price of the Sophos XG is very good. There are not any licensing costs, it is a one-time purchase price.

I would recommend Sophos XG to others. It is a good solution and I am satisfied.

Sophos XG is used as a network firewall.

In the Sophos XG, the SD-WAN has all the rules done separately, such as net policy routing. In the previous version, they were all in a single rule and everything was done that way. The way it is now is difficult for us because we are not used to this newer version. The firewall rules should be easier to configure and create. Everything should be done with a single click.

In the next version, the solution would be more user-friendly overall.

I have been using Sophos XG for approximately two years.

The stability of Sophos XG is good, it has good performance.

Sophos XG has good scalability.

We have approximately 50 people that use the solution in my company.

We use this solution on a daily basis.

We have contacted the support from Sophos XG but we do not require the support often.

We previously used Sophos Cyberoam and we switched to Sophos XG because it was the end of life for the Sophos Cyberoam and the bandwidth was poor.

The initial installation of Sophos XG was not difficult.

We used an integrator to do the implementation of Sophos XG.

We only require one person for the implementation and maintenance of the solution.

The solution is very good and we have received a return on investment.

The price of Sophos XG is reasonable. 

I would recommend this solution to others.

I rate Sophos XG a six out of ten.

We use the solution as our HQ main firewall.

In my experience, the solution was easy to use, has lots of features, and is easy to configure.

There are issues with electricity with this solution.

I have been using the solution for approximately five years.

I have found the solution to be stable.

The scalability could be better. We have 500 to 1000 users using the solution at my company.

The installation is easy.

The deployment only took an hour for one person to do it.

The hardware is inexpensive but the license is expensive.

I am going to continue using this product and I recommend this product to others.

We use this solution to secure the computers within our environment.

Sophos offers great disk encryption, anti protection, and the interface is very user-friendly.

I would like to next release to be able to support on-premise deployment. The construction of the rules within the firewall could also use some improvement.

I have been using Sophos XG for about two years.

This is a stable solution, I have not had any issues in regards to stability.

This is a scalable solution. We have about two hundred users in our company.

I have not needed to contact support.

We were using ESET prior to switching to Sophos. ESET was a very simple solution that was unable to detect malware or ransomware. We had an attack and needed to switch to a solution that supported ransomware.

The initial setup was very straightforward and took about one week to complete.

We used an integrator to compete the deployment. We have a contract with them so we do not need any in-house team members for maintenance. 

I would recommend this solution as it offers good protection.

I would rate the solution a seven out of ten.
