My experience shows that with traditional manual AWS recovery, such as a snapshot plus rebuild, the time is 30 to 120 minutes, while with Veeam Backup for AWS-based recovery an EC2 restore is within 5 to 10 minutes, an EBS volume restore is in minutes, and an RDS point-in-time recovery is in 10 to 30 minutes, giving 50% to 80% faster recovery compared to traditional manual AWS recovery.

In my opinion, the best features of Veeam Backup for AWS include that Veeam Backup VDA is best for EC2 instance snapshots, as it allows you to achieve compression in a better way and you don't need to save anything elsewhere or need an additional S3 bucket because it is going to use your account-level backup vaults.
