We use Vidyo for telemedicine. It is integrated into our telehealth solutions, specifically with Epic Solutions in the United States. In health care, telemedicine is not an option anymore; it is a must.
How has it helped my organization?
Vidyo has allowed us to conduct telemedicine efficiently without needing a lot of internet bandwidth. It offers an excellent video conferencing experience.
What is most valuable?
Vidyo is excellent for video conferencing, with a very high usage rate alongside Epic Solutions. It does not require a lot of internet availability. It has features like a video conferencing waiting room, the ability to chat with the end-user, and the ability to record sessions when allowed by security protocols.
It also allows the sharing of images, which is crucial in medical consultations like examining wounds or eye redness. Vidyo provides an outstanding video conferencing experience, making it highly effective in our telemedicine applications.
What needs improvement?
There are a few technical aspects that might need assistance, such as enabling Vidyo inside a web browser as opposed to using it via an SDK in an app.
Occasionally, issues can arise when using video conferencing in third-party applications. Feedback from developers could be beneficial for improving these areas.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
It is very good and reliable. I am satisfied with its performance.
How are customer service and support?
The support is different and very good. The upgrades and the work they do offer a positive experience.

We use Vidyo now. We did not use Cisco. In a previous institution, I used Webex.
How was the initial setup?
There is a need for testing security, port management, and working with specific types of routers. This process can take a couple of weeks, so it is not straightforward.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The financial model of Vidyo is different. It can be expensive and is not cheap, but the pricing can be better negotiated depending on usage. It depends on how it aligns with your business model and usage needs. It is not a walk in the park and might require technical knowledge.
What other advice do I have?
Vidyo works well for telemedicine but may have different results in other domains. It is recommended in our business domain.
