Acronis Cyber Infrastructure Reviews

I am working with Acronis, and I have experience with Veeam Backup for VMware and similar technologies. I have experience with VMware configuration from vSphere and backup, replication, and related functions. I am dealing with every product of Acronis.

Particularly with Acronis Cyber Infrastructure, my experience is better. This solution allows me to connect my own data center or storage system as a private cloud to the backup, which is helpful. My experience with this solution is better overall.

Multiple of my customers and other people use Acronis built-in cybersecurity features. Acronis has ransomware protection with active protection that can stop ransomware and retrieve data from the cache, which is helpful for customers. Every single product has a reporting structure, which is helpful for IT admins to investigate and see what happened. I have some experience with Acronis Cyber Infrastructure's integrated software-defined networking capabilities, and it is all good.

In my opinion, it would be better if Acronis expanded their integration with multiple products. Right now, backup and mail backup are only limited to M365 and Google. Most of the customers in my country use hosted servers or cPanel, IceWarp, and other small office and home office email solutions. If they can expand that integration, it would be helpful.

Making it even better would be if they have an industrial-level backup solution with multiple integrations and multiple backup capabilities that their competitor has. This would allow us to focus on one singular license for backup and confidently position it to an enterprise-level environment, such as a data center-level environment.

The customer service is excellent. I can even call a technical person from Acronis and get help immediately.

I have worked with some competitors, but not those named ones.

Compared to the products in the market, Acronis is very affordable. Because they have multiple solutions integrated into one license, we can justify the cost. It is affordable within region-wise policies.

I have not worked with Acronis Notary. When we get the whole portfolio of Acronis, including Acronis Cyber Protect and Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, one of my customers has every single solution, including backup, EDR, and DR. In that environment, with the integration between backup and DR solution from Acronis, whenever their physical server was going down, immediately another server spun up in Acronis VM environment, allowing the customer to use it during that downtime. When they recovered from the physical damage or recovered the physical server, they could roll back all the changes from cloud DR. Because of that, RPO and RTO are much lower compared to a typical backup solution.

The only downside is when comparing backup scenarios. Veeam has much more backup capabilities for data center and enterprise environments, but Acronis only focuses on SMBs and mid-level markets. Because of that, some backup capabilities are limited. However, in the pricing scale, Acronis is more affordable than other solutions. I would rate this review an overall eight out of ten.

I use Acronis Cyber Infrastructure primarily to save our M365 resources. The implementation was simple, and the licensing fees were not too high. This allowed us to sell it to our customers with a little profit for us.

The best feature of Acronis Cyber Infrastructure is how it backs up files in a user-friendly manner. I can open files easily and do not depend on special software or an installation that is hard to manage in an emergency. This simplicity was the main reason I chose it.

Backing up Azure resources is an area where there's room for improvement, as they are not fully covered yet. This includes storage accounts, blob storage, and container VMs in Azure.

I have been working with the solution since 2020, so it has been five years now.

The solution is fairly stable. On a scale from one to ten, I would rate the stability a seven.

The scalability is decent, though it gets slower when there's more data. I would rate it a six or seven on a scale from one to ten. There's potential room for improvement.

The technical support provided by Acronis is great. I would rate it nine out of ten, as it is almost perfect.

The setup process is quite straightforward. On a scale from one to ten, I would rate it an eight, as it takes just a few days to deploy.

We have two specialists in our company and work with a partner if there's more knowledge needed.

Our clients see a return on investment of about 20%.

Pricing is quite affordable. I would rate it a three on a scale from one to ten.

Compared with Veeam, Acronis is growing towards the enterprise level. Veeam has more experience and knowledge, however, Acronis is improving and doing a great job.

I recommend it for small businesses and small users. It's more suitable for them. I would rate the overall solution an eight out of ten. 

There has been a lot of improvement over the last year.

The most valuable feature of Acronis Cyber Infrastructure is the multi-tenancy model, we can create customers and services for them.

Acronis Cyber Infrastructure is too populated. They have many features, but some features are still missing, it is not complete. They need to improve many features, such as email security and disaster recovery.

In a future release, there needs to be analytics when there is an existing dashboard, this should be a requirement.

I have been using Acronis Cyber Infrastructure for approximately six years.

Acronis Cyber Infrastructure is a stable solution.

The scalability of Acronis Cyber Infrastructure is very good.

The initial setup of Acronis Cyber Infrastructure is easy. The time it takes for the deployment is approximately two to three hours which is not very long.

We pay monthly for the use of Acronis Cyber Infrastructure. There are additional features that we use that have an extra fee.

I rate Acronis Cyber Infrastructure an eight out of ten.

We are a reseller and solution provider, and this is one of the products that we provide for our customers.

The is an external cloud-based deployment.

The most valuable feature is the backup capability.

The support for this solution is a major thing that they need to focus on and improve.

The way they market this solution has no consistency and needs to be improved.

I would like to see real-time backup supported in the next release of this solution.

This is a stable solution.

Technical support is not bad when it comes to basic support. However, it is not the crisp, or clear, when it comes to answering technical questions. When it comes to the developer stage or integration then it is all very easy.

I did use another solution prior to this one, and I switched because the offerings from this solution are better.

The initial setup of this solution is straightforward.

This is a good solution, but it needs real-time backup and the support has to be improved.

I would rate this solution a seven out of ten.

The primary use case of this solution is mainly to backup our servers.

The deployment model is a private cloud.

The most valuable features are the full image backup, and the file or document sharing, allowing documents to be easily accessed from anywhere. The data is configured directly.

If they could make improvements with the virtual environment then it would be better. I made some inquiries with other vendors, regarding Veeam mostly, and in regards to the virtual environment, they all suggested that Veeam was better than Acronis.

An additional feature could be regarding the virtual environment of the auto backup, the virtual machine. Something to make it easier.

This solution is stable.

We have to see in the future for the scalability as we haven't been using this solution for very long. It's only been used for one year.

Technical support is good.

Previously we were using another solution and switched to Acronis.

Acronis helped with the initial setup.

The pricing is on the high side and the subscription is renewed every year.

With all backup solutions, not only Acronis, I would say that backup is essential and it saves you. It's a saving solution.
