I tried out the data reduction technology in HPE All-Flash Storage.

I performed calculations to determine approximate savings. These features help organizations reduce costs significantly.


What needs improvement?



There are some areas that could be improved in HPE All-Flash Storage. The performance could be enhanced, as it is currently better in HPE Alletra. They could work on improving performances in all-flash storages and NVMe storages.


How are customer service and support?



My experience with HPE support has been impressive. When rating their support on a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is the best, I would give them 9 out of 10, which is almost perfect.

The primary use case for HPE All-Flash Storage is for virtual environments. I work in the industrial sector and use the storage solutions.

What is most valuable?



HPE All-Flash Storage offers flexibility for management, networking, storage for servers, and ease of integration, all of which are valuable. There is a good facility to increase more space. The storage has been very simple to use and offers high availability. I have never had any problems with it. Additionally, HPE support is very good with high knowledge and accessibility.

What needs improvement?



HPE All-Flash Storage does not have snapshot immutability, which is something I need. This was a significant factor in my decision to switch from HPE to Dell PowerStore.

For how long have I used the solution?



I have been using this solution for nine years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?



The solution is very good. I have never had any problems with it. The availability has been 100% for all the time that I have used it.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?



The facility to increase more space makes the scalability of the solution very simple.

Easily manageable, expandable, and provides high-capacity and high security

What is our primary use case?



The solution is used in production. It can be used for core banking applications and database applications.


How has it helped my organization?



The solution has improved our data processing speed and our performance.


What is most valuable?



The solution is easily manageable. It is expandable and can be easily organized. We can get centralized reports from HPE Insight. The deduplication and the encryption features are beneficial for workload management. The data compression and deduplication feature gives us a high-capacity space and high security.


What needs improvement?



The tool has some performance issues during thin provisioning. Other storages do not have such issues. Thin provisioning is working fine in our NVMe storage. We have to assign an allocated drive for the solution. The support, visibility, and reporting features must be improved.

I have been using the solution for more than five years.


What do I think about the stability of the solution?



I rate the tool’s stability an eight out of ten.
