I rate Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud ten out of ten for scalability.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I previously worked with Veeam Backup.
How was the initial setup?
The solution’s initial setup is easy.
On a scale from one to ten, where one is complex, and ten is easy, I rate the solution a nine out of ten for the ease of its initial setup.
What about the implementation team?
The solution can be deployed in one hour.

Three engineers are involved in the solution's deployment and troubleshooting. I would recommend Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud to other users.

Provides good stability and unlimited backup features
Pros and Cons
- "Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud provides unlimited backup features for Office 365 accounts."
- "They could support Linux OS primarily for servers."
What is our primary use case?
We use the product for backing up local laptop fields, servers, workloads, and databases. It helps us meet compliance requirements with vulnerability scanning for endpoints and cloud infrastructure.
What is most valuable?
Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud provides unlimited backup features for Office 365 accounts.
What needs improvement?
They could support Linux OS primarily for servers and ideally for desktops, as large enterprises in our country often use Linux. Additionally, there could be a feature for data loss prevention.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been working with Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud as a value-added service channel partner for five years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
It is a stable and reliable platform. The cloud services are always operational. We can always access the login board on any device if connected to the Internet. They let us know in advance during the data maintenance. It is easy to schedule backup attempts and automatically resume them after any scheduled maintenance periods. They always resolve the data center maintenance much before the time they indicate.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Our organization has around 30 to 40 Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud users.
How are customer service and support?
The technical support services are great. The team is prompt to respond and is always accessible. We are a channel partner; we have direct access to their team. However, they are very responsive and professional.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We decided to work with Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud as it was dependable and easy to use. The decision factor for us was ease of deployment. It has a low learning curve. We taught ourselves how to use the product by watching online training videos. We were able to implement the knowledge successfully. It helped us start the product quickly whenever we resell it for other customers.
How was the initial setup?
It is the easiest product to deploy compared to Druva, Commvault, Veeam, and Quest.
What was our ROI?
The product generates a return on investment for us. These days, the data is vulnerable to ransomware attacks. Here, Acronis works as an insurance policy guaranteeing business continuity.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The product costs around 25$ per year for Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 backup. It is a specialized price. If you go to the website, the price mentioned is much higher. However, Acronis works through channel partners such as ourselves. They share discounted prices, allowing us to pass better prices to our customers. Thus, they have an efficient enterprise-level licensing model. When we tested the scenario for over 20 employees, the cost was much lower than the other solutions in the market.
What other advice do I have?
I recommend Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud for individual users and enterprises as well. They protect the data in addition to backup. It is an advantageous feature for enterprises. In an enterprise setting, the usual challenge lies in managing multiple OEMs for different solutions, such as Symantec and Veeam, leading to many dashboards and complexities in vendor management. The wonderful aspect of Acronis is that they deliver all the components, from data backup to security, through a single agent. Whether online file storage, notarizing files, or disaster recovery options like Cloud Instant or bare metal recovery, they offer all essential functionality. They now provide EDR, antivirus, and remote support services as well. It is becoming a one-stop solution to manage a variety of IT needs for end customers.
I rate it a nine out of ten. I am very satisfied with the product and have no issues. However, there is always room for improvement.

Senior Engineer at MRB Secure
Easy to set up with good usability and helpful support
Pros and Cons
- "Technical support is great."
- "The agent stability needs improvement."
What is our primary use case?
When using the solution, what we do is, we usually back up to a local NAS device and then back up to an API from there.
We've got our own hybrid cloud partners with storage. In some cases, we use that and in some cases, we use Chrome Task Storage.
What is most valuable?
The usability is great.
Once you actually know what's happening, it's quite easy to move around.
There are a lot of features that you do not really get with other backup software. For instance, continuing where you left off. In the case where you might get a network break or something, and the backup has to start again, it just leads to metadata changes and then basically carries on from where it left off instead of starting fresh from zero, which a lot of backup software does not support.
It's easy to set up.
Technical support is great.
What needs improvement?
The agent stability needs improvement. We deal with a lot of agents, and the biggest thing is the agent going offline on the portal.
That is one of our biggest things. That means we have to go contact the customer and get access. Once we log on, then try and fix something that is broken, for example, if the internet services wouldn't start, we need the agent to be more stable.
Right now, the jobs are not starting. You're telling it to start, yet nothing happens.
One additional feature that I would love to see inside the cloud is the ability to recover media. We'd like it to be so that you can do the restore from the portal and not through a GUI on a physical machine since a physical machine restore requires you to physically be at the machine to do that store.
We basically are an MSP, so if we're on the one side of the country and if a machine breaks on the other side, we need to try and figure out, "Okay, how do we fix that machine?" You can't do it remotely - it's too far. We have to travel 2000 kilometers just to get to the other side to fix that machine. So if there was some sort of remote capability on their boot media, recovery media, that would be absolutely amazing.
The reporting could be better.
For how long have I used the solution?
I've been using the solution for the last three or four years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
It is quite stable. Every backup software is going to have its ups and downs, however, if I had to go to any customer, I would recommend Acronis above everything else.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It's very scalable. You can install it on a laptop, on a physical server, a virtual machine, a host, or Office 365, et cetera. Basically, you can do recovery or vice versa, so you can do that from physical to virtual, or virtual to physical, or physical to physical - any way that you want.
We have about 300 clients.
How are customer service and support?
I've dealt with people who helped me a lot and their response was very quick, to the point, and I have dealt with people where the issue just doesn't get resolved and I had to do it myself. It depends on the use case. Minor errors are the ones we are usually struggling with the most to get help. That usually takes probably around four days to get fixed and most of our SLAs are beyond that, so we're literally falling out of SLA on each response.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I've also had a client that has used Veeam in the past. They found it was a constant struggle just to get the backups working, never mind the restores.
How was the initial setup?
The portal is actually quite straightforward to set up. It's quite easy to see what you need to get out of it. There are some issues on the reporting side, and that's something we are working on.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
It's very hard to actually say whether it's expensive or not due to the additional features that come with Acronis. Since the security part of it - the advanced email security, the Office 365 backups, all of those things combined, if you have to put all the features together in Acronis and try and match that to another software or solution, you would need to have one solution for backups, one for this, one for that, et cetera, and then calculate all those costs together. That, in the end, will make it very, very expensive. However, if you're only talking in terms of the backup, it is very, very competitive.
What other advice do I have?
We are an MSP.
Since it is cloud-based, we are on the latest version of the product.
Acronis Cloud is not an on-prem solution, it is a cloud-based solution, and getting people away from thinking of on-premise solutions can be quite difficult to do.
The main thing is it works similarly in a way in which you would deploy the Defender on your network. You install a single agent and deploy it to everybody else.
With the other backup software, in general, what you would need to do, is go into each and every machine and go and create a backup job on each and every machine separately to point to a specific location. Whereas with the Acronis Cloud, you create a single thing, it's called a protection plan, and you add all the details into that one specific protection plan, and you add all the machines that you just installed onto that one plan, you click install, and click run, and that's it.
Acronis does not only do backup, they are basically a fully-fledged cybersecurity suite that includes things like DLP, advanced security, the antivirus, and stuff, it does that as well through the exact same agent, and now recently they launched EDRs, so it's basically endpoint detection and response. So for small businesses and bigger enterprise clients, this is absolutely perfect since it takes care of all your needs and it's not time-consuming as such as it's got AI behind it, and the AI basically does all the work for you. You can just look at the report and make sure everything is right. It's a very, very good product.
I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Good backup functionality and cybersecurity features with good reliability
Pros and Cons
- "We like the backup functionality."
- "We'd like to see more DLP, data loss prevention."
What is our primary use case?
We use the solution for data loss prevention. We are using it in a customer's company.
What is most valuable?
There are some good cybersecurity features.
We like the backup functionality.
It is easy to set up the product.
The solution is quite stable and reliable.
You can scale the solution. \We have found the pricing to be good.
What needs improvement?
They could improve the detection rates of the antivirus. It would be ideal if they improved EDR features. We'd like to see more DLP, data loss prevention.
For how long have I used the solution?
I've been working with the solution for a year and a half.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The solution is stable. There aren't any bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. The performance is good.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It can scale. Maybe when it comes to the endpoint security and data protection here, it's scalable, as many features can be added on one by one. The licensing is also scalable.
We tend to work with small and medium-sized companies. Most of the customers have under 300 users.
How are customer service and support?
Support is okay. I am in an English region, so, for the technical support currently, I still have Mandarin supports, however, not much. There are just two in our region.
Except for the number of supports, everything's good from the support perspective.
How was the initial setup?
The solution is very simple to set up. It's not complex at all.
If the deployment is not included in the initial setup it will take just in one day, since it's a SaaS platform.
The maintenance can be handled by between two to five people.
What about the implementation team?
Our customers handle the initial setup on their own. They do not need our assistance or any other outside assistance.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
It's reasonably priced. It is quite cheap compared to competitors.
It's a monthly payment of $1,000 USD.
What other advice do I have?
We are a partner and reseller.
While some features can replace existing solutions, at the first stage, maybe new users can start from coexistence and see if features can be replaced or not. Due to the licensing and deployment, it's scalable and flexible. At any moment, we can decide to move to new features or not. You don't have to rush for all the features as they currently have many cybersecurity and data production features. Start slow and build up.
I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.

One L2 technical engineer is needed for the solution's maintenance and deployment.

Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud is a very good backup solution. Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud can do a backup of endpoints and mailboxes in one solution.
With Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, you have your data backed up and safely protected. The solution helps you to recover lost data, which is beneficial.
