Effective data loss prevention and good for small and medium enterprises
We are almost ready to acquire ManageEngine Endpoint DLP Plus. We have a lot of tools. We currently use Acronis Cyber Protect and are looking at zero trust file transfer tools. We have hands-on experience with some tools and are continuously upgrading our infrastructure and security tools. We started with Acronis. I think we had McAfee before I joined, and then we switched to Acronis. We are okay with it. Price and features were the main reason you decided to go with Acronis. It is good value for the money.
Ahmad Mohammed EL-DADA - PeerSpot reviewer
Provides server-side and backend application support but needs better interface
The last update made the interface look somewhat unfamiliar to users. Data recovery was technically flawless at some point. However, an update after a merger changed things. The current procedure for data encryption is not as straightforward as before, and we're facing some challenges. Specifically, one user encrypted their data, and since they have left the company, we cannot decrypt it. This has resulted in a loss of access to that data.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It covers the need to block threats, investigate incidents, and ensure disaster recovery. This approach aligns well with current cybersecurity trends."
"The platform's most valuable features include its backup functionality, particularly the snapshot and image backup capabilities."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is that it can cover both the cloud and the on-prem devices."
"One of my favorite features of the Acronis backup product is the ability to replicate the backups. Backup data can be replicated to a second, third, or even fourth data source."
"I would recommend this solution. It's easy and fast, you don't need to be on-premises you can use it from anywhere."
"Disaster recovery is good."
"The user interface is the most valuable feature for me because I can manage backups and teams in one console."
"We can use the tool to set up an automated backup from our on-premises server directly to the cloud."
"All the data is well encrypted. In addition, the data is split into pieces so that if an endpoint is attacked or compromised with any kind of ransomware, the compromised machine can be relocated or restored. All the data that was previously backed up can be restored from the cloud. It has a lot of security features. Druva currently offers only the cloud version on AWS. Being a cloud solution, Druva goes by a lot of security compliances and provides a security portfolio. People are very skeptical of the data security in cloud solutions, and Druva has given consideration to that. It has some good geo-location features. If a machine is lost, when the machine is switched on and connected to the internet, that machine can be geo-located and tracked. It also has got the geo-wipeout feature. If someone tries to take out the data from a lost machine, they won't be able to do that. The moment an IT admin comes to know that the machine is no longer with a user, he or she can auto-run the geo-wipeout feature so that the data cannot be read by any third party. Duality replication is a unique thing about this solution. Everybody's data is not backed up if the data is common. Similar data is not backed up from other machines. The data backup also happens very smoothly. The bandwidth choking is very less. When the data is getting backed up, the users do not even get to know. There is no impact even when the users are not using high-speed bandwidth."
"On a scale of 1-10, I rate this solution a 10."
"Druva inSync is very easy to use."
"You don't need a certified administrator to manage this product."
"Users do not need to contact IT administrators to recover lost or deleted files. They can do it on their own, eliminating waiting time."
"It has a straightforward installation."
"It is simple to implement and use. It's very flexible."
"Our customers do not need to purchase third party storage or a separate server for data backup."

Cons

"The reporting could be improved. I would like to see some enhancements in that regard."
"It could be a little more user-friendly. The technical support also should be improved."
"Some proactive alerts or emails are not currently available."
"Its mailbox migration feature needs improvement."
"The agent stability needs improvement."
"Advanced backup is an area with certain shortcomings where improvements are required."
"The technical support could be improved. When you create a ticket, the responsiveness you'd expect is lacking."
"On the client-side, the antivirus engine was slowing down their finance server terribly."
"I would like to see security improved in the next release."
"This solution would benefit from the inclusion of an on-premise backup feature, as currently, they are offering everything in the cloud."
"The backup time is very poor. The backup runs continuously. It goes on from morning till night. The system performance also becomes very poor when Druva inSync is running."
"The support team generally needs to be more proactive with technical and general suggestions."
"If I could have an accelerator or something to back up the solution on the cloud, that would be helpful. Also, it would be helpful if the accelerator could give me a buffer of a couple of days for any kind of immediate recovery on an offsite."
"The product needs to improve its support."
"To make Druva inSync better, they can implement additional DLP."
"It would be good if bare metal backups were possible."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I rate the solution's pricing a six out of ten. You don't have to pay any additional costs."
"I recommend the tool's monthly licensing model."
"The product is not that expensive, making it a product that can be considered for purchase. I rate the product's price a four on a scale of one to ten, where one is expensive and ten is cheap."
"The price of the product falls under a medium range."
"Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud is an expensive solution."
"I would rate the product's pricing a seven out of ten. The solution costs around 75 USD for 1TB per month."
"With the price, there is a certain limitation on terabytes but no limits on how many servers or how many services you can run."
"Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud is an expensive solution."
"It's approximately $4000.00 per user for one year."
"It is an expensive product for the middle class or SMB customers in India. A lot of top-level big companies also cannot afford this solution. During the license period, one can download the entire data from the cloud without paying any additional cost. This way the data can be easily recreated from the stored data when a machine is lost or the data is compromised."
"Once you decide to go with this product the cost can be worked out with the vendor."
"The pricing is good."
"The product is fairly priced, I would rate its pricing five out of ten."
"The price is quite good, It's approximately $4000.00 per user for one year."
"The pricing is thirty-five dollars per year or three dollars per month per user."
"I would rate the pricing a seven out of ten, with one being very cheap and ten being very expensive."
