  • "It is intuitive, easy to deploy, and rather quick to deploy and set up, with a number of native services in the ecosystem that are built into the cloud and mature enough to support you in many ways."
  • "Amazon still has room for improvement in terms of being more mature on the monitoring side and in terms of the native capabilities. Amazon should get their services portfolio stronger on OEM-based workloads such as Microsoft and Oracle. There are a lot of areas that still do not have offerings, so there is room to grow. I would be happy if they bring more maturity to the monitoring capabilities and SaaS offerings. They are strong on Infrastructure as a Service, but they are not mature on SaaS."
  • "Amazon is not at all a partner-friendly company. Support from Amazon is not at all good as a partner."

What is most valuable?

It is intuitive, easy to deploy, and rather quick to deploy and set up. There are a number of native services in the ecosystem. These services are built into the cloud and are mature enough to support you in many ways.

It is relatively secure and definitely reliable for uptime.

What needs improvement?

Amazon still has room for improvement in terms of being more mature on the monitoring side and in terms of the native capabilities. Amazon should get their services portfolio stronger on OEM-based workloads such as Microsoft and Oracle. There are a lot of areas that still do not have offerings, so there is room to grow. I would be happy if they bring more maturity to the monitoring capabilities and SaaS offerings. They are strong on Infrastructure as a Service, but they are not mature on SaaS.

Amazon is not at all a partner-friendly company. Support from Amazon is not at all good as a partner.

For how long have I used the solution?

We are a technology consulting and managed services company. For our customers, we've been designing solutions on Amazon Cloud for almost seven years.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It is scalable.

How are customer service and support?

Support from Amazon is not at all good as a partner. We wouldn't lose sleep by not working with them as a partner, but we would continue to work on that technology. It is not at all a partner-friendly company.

How was the initial setup?

It is easy to deploy. You can quickly deploy and set it up.

What other advice do I have?

Considering the product, support, service, and maturity, I would rate Amazon AWS an eight out of 10.

An on-demand cloud computing platform with a useful storage feature, but the price could be better
Pros and Cons
  • "I like the storage, all the codes like Lambda and Amazon EMR."
  • "Amazon AWS is a stable solution."
  • "The price could be better."
  • "It could be cheaper, and Amazon could also be more transparent with its pricing. I would first expect any product vendor to give me the utmost transparency on pricing information."

What is most valuable?

I like the storage, all the codes like Lambda and Amazon EMR.

What needs improvement?

The price could be better.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with Amazon AWS for seven to eight years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Amazon AWS is a stable solution.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Amazon AWS is scalable. Scalability has been good for us.

How was the initial setup?

I didn't take part in the initial setup on a very hands-on level. However, I hear from my architects and the development team that it's straightforward.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It could be cheaper, and Amazon could also be more transparent with its pricing. I would first expect any product vendor to give me the utmost transparency on pricing information. There shouldn't be any hidden costs.

Their service offerings have a bit of segmentation, and they focus more on SMBs. They brought them onto the cloud and encouraged them to use solutions on the cloud. But strategically, they should probably improve that and offer some credits.

What other advice do I have?

I would advise potential users to use Azure if they want more stability, but I always warn about the costs. That's why I don't bring infrastructure to the business, and I find the customers with their own environment. There are multiple portions, and it's not straightforward for anybody to do. That's the bad side of it, but anybody can prepare.

On a scale from one to ten, I would give Amazon AWS a seven.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Private Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Scalable, stable and easy to install with good tech support
Pros and Cons
  • "I like the technical support."
  • "When it comes to cloud management, I have no complaints at present."
  • "The price of the solution is comparatively quite high in comparison with that of Azure."
  • "The price of the solution is comparatively quite high in comparison with that of Azure."

What is our primary use case?

We use the solution for managed hosting of the connection servers of some of our clients.

What is most valuable?

The solution has a vast array of features and services. It offers many upgrades.

What needs improvement?

The price of the solution is comparatively quite high in comparison with that of Azure.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using Amazon AWS for around two or three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution has good stability.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution has good scalability.

How are customer service and technical support?

I like the technical support.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was quite easy.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The solution could be more cost-effective.

What other advice do I have?

When it comes to cloud management, I have no complaints at present.

I am a customer of Amazon.

As we are, basically, only hosting cloud services, this is geared towards the end user. We manage two or three people.

I would recommend the solution to others.

Owing to the pricing, I rate Amazon AWS as a nine out of ten.

A mature product that is extremely scalable and easy to expand
Pros and Cons
  • "In general, the cost management in Amazon is complicated. It's not too straightforward."
  • "We have found scalability to be the most useful aspect of the product so far, as it is very easy to expand to whatever size you need."
  • "The solution is pretty mature."
  • "In general, the cost management in Amazon is complicated. It's not too straightforward."

What is most valuable?

The scalability of the product is excellent.

The solution is pretty mature.

What needs improvement?

In general, the cost management in Amazon is complicated. It's not too straightforward. That's a little bit of a problem that they have.

Sometimes, their interface is kind of old. We see that they're trying to move forward and modernize, however, they've gotten a little bit behind compared to, for example, Azure, which obviously started later, and yet, has a better interface. Not better. I would like it if it was easier to reach certain items.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have quite a bit of experience with AWS.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

We have found scalability to be the most useful aspect of the product so far. it's very easy to expand to whatever size you need.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We also use Azure and Oracle.

While AWS is more mature, Azure has updated its user interface and seems more modern in comparison.

What about the implementation team?

We implement the solutions for our clients if they need us to. We deal with AWS, Azure, and Oracle for the most part.

What other advice do I have?

We are an implementor.

I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten. We've mostly been pleased with the solution's capabilities.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Scalable, robust, and offers many unique services
Pros and Cons
  • "They provide cutting-edge features compared to other cloud vendors."
  • "Amazon, in terms of cloud infrastructure, is really robust."
  • "Some extensions are better than others."
  • "The solution could always have better performance."

What is our primary use case?

The solution is useful in many ways. If you want to invest in on-prem infrastructure, it is going to be a huge cost. If you could add auto-scaling features and load balancing features on AWS Cloud, the e-commerce site can use the autoscale feature to handle any traffic threshold or additional workloads. I have two, three customers who are using this feature and they are getting benefits out of it.

What is most valuable?

Amazon, in terms of cloud infrastructure, is really robust.

The product is scalable.

They provide cutting-edge features compared to other cloud vendors.

They offer many services that are unique to AWS

The availability is a good feature. They have certain criteria. For global virtualization, if you want to scale and operate across the world, AWS can provide the infrastructure without limiting the performance. They have those provisions such as availability.

In terms of latency and other things, AWS is great.

The online knowledge base is very helpful and has a vast amount of information for users.

What needs improvement?

The solution could always have better performance.

Some extensions are better than others.

We'd like it if the solution was more secure.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been dealing with the solution for over three years. It's been a while.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is robust and stable. The solution is reliable. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. It's reliable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution is highly scalable, especially for the storage part. They have storage called S3 Object Store, which is virtually unlimited. You can scale it to an unlimited amount. It's great.

How are customer service and technical support?

For AWS, if I compare it to Huawei, Huawei support, Huawei is better compared to AWS, however, AWS is better compared to Google and Oracle or SAP and all of those other clouds. Due to the fact that AWS has a very good knowledge base, you can easily find answers to any issue you might have.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I've also used similar solutions such as Oracle and Azure. I've also dealt with Huawei.

How was the initial setup?

As a cloud-based solution, there isn't really an installation process.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

While some clients will take a monthly subscription, we tend to do an SLA reseller with them for a one-year or three-year contract.

What other advice do I have?

I'm a reseller.

As a cloud-based solution, we're always on the latest version. We don't have to manually update it.

I'd rate the solution at a ten out of ten. Even compared to other solutions, such as Oracle and Azure, it is much better.

I've been a specialist for AWS for installation, however, I recommend solutions based on the company's requirements. However, it will help them in many ways.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

A scalable and stable solution
Pros and Cons
  • "I am very impressed by the solution's stability."
  • "I am very impressed by the solution's stability."
  • "The response time of technical support could be better."
  • "The response time of technical support could be better. It is not so good."

What is our primary use case?

In my role as an IT architect, I design solutions for many clients. We use the solution in mobile applications with a back-end solution

What needs improvement?

The response time of technical support could be better. It is not so good. While this can likely be attributed to our lack of a premium support contract, they should still show more consideration in their response time towards first time clients.

Moreover, as things grow, the solution will need the scalability of Amazon services for it to be very secure. More scalability will be essential. It will be important for us to incorporate certain architecture-based ideas or configurations of the signature that would need to be included in our solutions or designs.

As an example, we developed a mobile application that will reach 10,000 users of Amazon services within its first year. The following year, it is projected to reach around 100,000 users.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Amazon AWS during the last 12 months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I am very impressed by the solution's stability.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability is very good, although having good security will require that its growth be in line with that of Amazon service.

How are customer service and technical support?

Technical support is not so good.

How was the initial setup?

Use of the four quarters service posed a problem for us during the initial setup. The setup of the initial quarters of service should be more transparent and clear to the user. Certain limits should be set up to match the varying needs of the users.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

There are no additional costs beyond the standard licensing fees.

What other advice do I have?

I feel the solution has been working very well.

We have worked with around eight companies over the past year involving a variety of solutions. For some of these we implemented solutions that will be utilized by a large clientele.

My role is that of an integrator. Editors and designers are other roles. As of now, we do not have a partner relationship with Amazon.

I rate Amazon AWS as a nine out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?
