Available to users at a very low price but needs improvement in the firewall area
The product is very easy to install. When it comes to OmniSwitch 6200, OmniSwitch 6300, or OmniSwitch 6600, you can install it in an hour and a half quickly without any problem implementing the configuration, but it's not stable. When it comes to OmniSwitch 6400, OmniSwitch 6800, or OmniSwitch 9700, mostly the tools are limited in terms of the protocol. The switch cannot be managed to manage the power of our ethernet. For example, if we connect an iPhone to the switch, 740 watts will be required, but after six months, someone will discover that the port doesn't work anymore. Even if we configure it to push the power of a port, it will not work. It's not really, it's not, it's not work. At the same time, the problem was that the tool was very old, like Alcatel OmniPCX Enterprise PABX system. In Alcatel, there are only two types of architecture, the old and new ones. For example, on the outside, if there is a need for 24 ports to be implemented on telephony, then we implement less than that number to connect to the end of the phone, which is a very serious problem that is not resolved by the product.

Solution supports extensive connectivity but faces occasional coverage challenges
Cisco Wireless WAN has room for improvement in WiFi coverage. Sometimes, their coverage is normally good, but at the same area where the access points are deployed, people face continuous disconnectivity issues. These kinds of issues come over time, and we need to do troubleshooting, but they get resolved. This is a performance-related issue, and I think they have to work on that.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution's support is very great."
"I also like that now you can add a cellular connection to the Cisco router. So, if your operator is down, you can now still have one connection in the office with the cellular module."
"The initial setup is straightforward."
"It just gives you the ability to use it around the office without being tied up to an actual physical connection."
"I use Cisco because of its reliability."
"Cisco Wireless WAN's best feature is the integration with other Cisco products."
"I am impressed with the tool's packet tracing so that connection with the devices is always consistent."
"It's a small feature, but Cisco allows me to see access points with blinking lights. This shows me which access point is which."
"The performance of the solution is valuable."

Cons

"The tool's VPN Firewall Brick did not work well since it doesn't have an interface with the cloud to upload the last signature, so it doesn't have this mechanism."
"The firewall integration is not great."
"The cost is one of the higher in the industry."
"The setup of Cisco Wireless WAN needs an expert. You need someone with experience to be able to work with Cisco Wireless solutions. It took approximately one to two weeks to implement the solution."
"I hope Cisco can improve the capacity to service a high density of users in a small area, as currently we have difficulties with this."
"Include more managing features within the product, rather than having to purchase them as extras."
"It needs to increase its strength in capacity."
"The worst thing about the Cisco controllers is that they only have two ports."
"Cisco Firewall cannot recognize some applications and that makes dealing with policies difficult. Even when we whitelist, it does not work well."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The tool's price is very low."
"On the low end, the solution costs probably around $1200 to $1300 for five years. It's an expensive product."
"It is a bit expensive compared to others."
"Cisco is much more expensive than the other vendor solutions."
"If you have a two-person team doing the physical access point installations, they should be able to set up 10 to 20 access points per day."
"I don't know the exact cost as I'm only on the technical side, but I do know this solution is very expensive. With one being the most expensive and five being affordable, I would give Cisco a two out of five."
"The total cost of the solution was about $6,000."
"The tool is expensive."
"The cost of licensing should be improved."
