Available to users at a very low price but needs improvement in the firewall area
The product is very easy to install. When it comes to OmniSwitch 6200, OmniSwitch 6300, or OmniSwitch 6600, you can install it in an hour and a half quickly without any problem implementing the configuration, but it's not stable. When it comes to OmniSwitch 6400, OmniSwitch 6800, or OmniSwitch 9700, mostly the tools are limited in terms of the protocol. The switch cannot be managed to manage the power of our ethernet. For example, if we connect an iPhone to the switch, 740 watts will be required, but after six months, someone will discover that the port doesn't work anymore. Even if we configure it to push the power of a port, it will not work. It's not really, it's not, it's not work. At the same time, the problem was that the tool was very old, like Alcatel OmniPCX Enterprise PABX system. In Alcatel, there are only two types of architecture, the old and new ones. For example, on the outside, if there is a need for 24 ports to be implemented on telephony, then we implement less than that number to connect to the end of the phone, which is a very serious problem that is not resolved by the product.

Reliable Wi-Fi deployment handles extreme conditions and reduces maintenance
The only bad downside to Ruckus Wireless WAN is that the guest network is poorly conceived. This is a known issue. There are ways to make the guest network work reliably, but not as promised. That's the only downside to Ruckus Wireless WAN access points - they have a weak guest system and guest portal, but everything else is the best of the best. If I did not have access to Ruckus Wireless WAN support, I think I would have failed. One downside they have now is that you no longer have access to the support folks without a contract. That has changed over many years. That would be really unfortunate because I remember struggling. The company was very hungry at that point and they were very willing to help. Now support requires a contract. That comes with all growing companies.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"An excellent and robust solution for delineating services over a common transport, through the use of IP/MPLS."
"The solution's support is very great."
"One of the standout features is the ease of installation and commissioning, making the whole process very straightforward."
"The support from Ruckus Wireless WAN is wonderful."
"The most valuable features are the ease of deployment, the coverage that it offers, and the reliability."
"There are numerous features, but what I like about Ruckus is that they have a good coverage range due to their BeamFlex technique."
"In my opinion, Ruckus is the best wireless company."
"The stability provided is very nice."
"The scalability of Ruckus Wireless WAN benefits your operations since it is pretty good."
"The solution is suitable for many types of environments, such as small businesses."

Cons

"More refinement of network group encryption (NGE)."
"The tool's VPN Firewall Brick did not work well since it doesn't have an interface with the cloud to upload the last signature, so it doesn't have this mechanism."
"The pricing, when compared to Ubiquiti, isn't competitive enough."
"I would like to see Ruckus focus less on creating lower-tier solutions aimed at competing with inferior brands."
"Of course, we'd always like it to be cheaper, but that's for every product."
"The support could be faster. It takes time for them to reply."
"The captive portal should be more customizable because right now, it is very limited."
"We have one sole distributor here in our region. To have multiple distributors here would be very helpful to improve the supply chain."
"Ruckus Wireless WAN is overpriced. Compared to others at the moment, Ruckus Wireless WAN does not have many valuable features."
"In comparison to Cambium, I find Cambium to be more robust in terms of performance."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The tool's price is very low."
"Licensing for Ruckus Wireless WAN when you compare it to other vendors, it's on par and not expensive. For me, all licensing is expensive by default, but you do get lifelong licenses, and what's cool about it is the license for Ruckus Wireless WAN, especially on the LAN controller, is not linked to an access point. It's just a quantity access point deployment, so you can rip out old APs, and put new ones in and they'll work on the wireless LAN because the license is not linked to a specific access point which is much easier to work with."
"In general, it is a packaged solution with analytics, support, and a cloud license. The pricing is acceptable for licensing the cloud for a bundle."
"There is an annual license needed to use this solution. The pricing model is based on how many access points are used."
"The product's pricing is aggressive."
"I rate the product's price a seven on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive."
"The product has competitive pricing."
"Sometimes they sell it for Rs.20,000, and other times, they sell it for Rs.30,000. Then, suddenly, they ask for Rs.70,000. There should be a tiered pricing structure based on the quantity. We understand that if you buy more, the price should be lower, and if you buy less, it may be higher."
"It possesses a favorable balance between quality and price."
