Available to users at a very low price but needs improvement in the firewall area
The product is very easy to install. When it comes to OmniSwitch 6200, OmniSwitch 6300, or OmniSwitch 6600, you can install it in an hour and a half quickly without any problem implementing the configuration, but it's not stable. When it comes to OmniSwitch 6400, OmniSwitch 6800, or OmniSwitch 9700, mostly the tools are limited in terms of the protocol. The switch cannot be managed to manage the power of our ethernet. For example, if we connect an iPhone to the switch, 740 watts will be required, but after six months, someone will discover that the port doesn't work anymore. Even if we configure it to push the power of a port, it will not work. It's not really, it's not, it's not work. At the same time, the problem was that the tool was very old, like Alcatel OmniPCX Enterprise PABX system. In Alcatel, there are only two types of architecture, the old and new ones. For example, on the outside, if there is a need for 24 ports to be implemented on telephony, then we implement less than that number to connect to the end of the phone, which is a very serious problem that is not resolved by the product.

Reliable Wi-Fi deployment handles extreme conditions and reduces maintenance
The only bad downside to Ruckus Wireless WAN is that the guest network is poorly conceived. This is a known issue. There are ways to make the guest network work reliably, but not as promised. That's the only downside to Ruckus Wireless WAN access points - they have a weak guest system and guest portal, but everything else is the best of the best. If I did not have access to Ruckus Wireless WAN support, I think I would have failed. One downside they have now is that you no longer have access to the support folks without a contract. That has changed over many years. That would be really unfortunate because I remember struggling. The company was very hungry at that point and they were very willing to help. Now support requires a contract. That comes with all growing companies.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution's support is very great."
"An excellent and robust solution for delineating services over a common transport, through the use of IP/MPLS."
"The most valuable feature is the good coverage of about 60 meters."
"The solution is very stable, and in all the time that we've used it, we've had no issues at all with it."
"We use things like VLAN and all the multibeam features that are built in, but at the end of the day, the most important thing for us is to get a good signal and site-wide coverage."
"Its benefits include efficient zone deployment and access point distribution, simplifying network management."
"Radio management is a valuable feature of the solution."
"The most valuable feature of Ruckus Wireless WAN is the antenna technology."
"The most valuable aspect of the solution is the size of the outdoor access points. It's great and you can disguise them quite well."
"The strongest point for Ruckus has always been the radio hardware."

Cons

"The tool's VPN Firewall Brick did not work well since it doesn't have an interface with the cloud to upload the last signature, so it doesn't have this mechanism."
"More refinement of network group encryption (NGE)."
"Pricing could be improved in Ruckus Wireless WAN because obviously, everybody wants things to become cheaper."
"The solution could be more stable."
"There is a significant issue with wireless functionality in Apple devices, particularly during video calls."
"This product needs a point-to-point, bridge solution."
"The connectivity and mobility for users could be improved."
"In Cisco, there is a configuration where it automatically switches from the 2.4 GHz to 5.2 GHz frequency. But with Ruckus, usually, we need to manually define whether we want to use the 2.4 GHz or 5.2 GHz."
"I believe there is room for improvement in the price structure."
"The pricing needs to be reconsidered because it's expensive."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The tool's price is very low."
"We have to pay annually for the cloud licenses, so I think it'll be about 5,000 pounds a year moving forwards."
"The cost is quite high, and over the past year, there has been a substantial increase, nearly reaching around seventy percent."
"The product is available at a very good price, but it is not cheap compared to tools like Unifi. I believe it is a very good product for the price that it is offered to users."
"It possesses a favorable balance between quality and price."
"The cost of licensing varies."
"This product is worth the money that is spent on licensing fees."
"There is an annual license needed to use this solution. The pricing model is based on how many access points are used."
"You have to pay for the controller with Ruckus, whereas with Ubiquiti, it comes for free."
