Available to users at a very low price but needs improvement in the firewall area
The product is very easy to install. When it comes to OmniSwitch 6200, OmniSwitch 6300, or OmniSwitch 6600, you can install it in an hour and a half quickly without any problem implementing the configuration, but it's not stable. When it comes to OmniSwitch 6400, OmniSwitch 6800, or OmniSwitch 9700, mostly the tools are limited in terms of the protocol. The switch cannot be managed to manage the power of our ethernet. For example, if we connect an iPhone to the switch, 740 watts will be required, but after six months, someone will discover that the port doesn't work anymore. Even if we configure it to push the power of a port, it will not work. It's not really, it's not, it's not work. At the same time, the problem was that the tool was very old, like Alcatel OmniPCX Enterprise PABX system. In Alcatel, there are only two types of architecture, the old and new ones. For example, on the outside, if there is a need for 24 ports to be implemented on telephony, then we implement less than that number to connect to the end of the phone, which is a very serious problem that is not resolved by the product.

Seamless coverage amplifies connectivity while enhanced responsiveness strengthens potential
We do not prefer Ubiquiti Wireless switches for more complex environments, not because they lack scalability, but because we haven't explored their products extensively. We are strong on their Wi-Fi solution. When implementing Wi-Fi for a campus, we use Cisco for the core backbone infrastructure, while implementing Ubiquiti Wireless for the Wi-Fi and controller. Perhaps we haven't discovered switches that would match our requirements, or maybe they exist but we haven't explored their capabilities fully. Regarding improvements to Ubiquiti Wireless, I cannot provide specific suggestions as I'm not an expert on Wi-Fi, as there is a dedicated team that handles Wi-Fi solutions.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The solution's support is very great."
"An excellent and robust solution for delineating services over a common transport, through the use of IP/MPLS."
"The range is usually pretty good, which is the most important thing to use because more or less, all wireless access points are the same."
"What I found most valuable in Ubiquiti Wireless is that it's priced competitively, compared to other brands available in the market. From a price competitiveness standpoint, it's a product I would recommend. I also find Ubiquiti Wireless quite reliable, at least for me using it as a home access point, it seems to serve its purpose. I also like that with Ubiquiti Wireless, you can build a very modular network, so you could change out your router to use a Ubiquiti router if you want to. The solution also has gateway equipment and all, so I like the modular concept of Ubiquiti Wireless. Another feature I find valuable in the solution is monitoring. It is pretty good. For example, as a home user, I have the unified app on my computer, so I'm able to watch how my APs are performing."
"We want to run an efficient business and scale the business well, and not have to hire too many people to do the job."
"This is a good product and one that I recommend highly."
"They provide us with immediate insights into our financial performance and customer interactions, which helps us make informed decisions quickly."
"This product is great because it's easy to set up and maintain, simple to configure, and being cloud-based makes making changes to the configuration a lot easier."
"I would say that the user experience is pretty good in this solution as well as the roaming solution part of it."
"What I found most valuable in Ubiquiti Wireless is that it's priced competitively, compared to other brands available in the market."

Cons

"More refinement of network group encryption (NGE)."
"The tool's VPN Firewall Brick did not work well since it doesn't have an interface with the cloud to upload the last signature, so it doesn't have this mechanism."
"The strength of the routers could be improved."
"Difficult to see error logs and locate the problem."
"When you compare with Mikrotik, Mikrotik is more stable than Ubiquiti because they have their own protocols."
"When it comes to accessing the system, when you don't have a Cloud Key then it can sometimes be frustrating and irritating."
"The accessibility to technical support could be better."
"There's one feature that they're missing that's critical, and that is automatic channel assignment."
"In terms of what could be improved in the product, I would have to say security features are lacking."
"Ubiquiti Wireless does not have local support."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The tool's price is very low."
"The product is around $300 or $400 depending on the device. It's a one-time fee. There aren't ongoing licensing costs."
"In South Africa, for some Cisco access points, it will cost you 10,000 Rand ($690 USD), whereas with Ubiquity that same access point will cost you less than 3,000 Rand ($210 USD)."
"I like the fact that it offers enterprise features at a cheap price. If you compare it with Cisco, it has most of the features that Cisco has been offering but at a lesser price. I am satisfied with its price."
"Once you purchase the solution the license is included."
"The most valuable aspect of Ubiquiti is the price. Compared to competing solutions like Cisco Aironet, HP Aruba, ExtremeWireless, or Ruckus, Ubiquiti is the cheapest by far. It's not even close. That's their biggest selling point."
"I rate the price of Ubiquiti Wireless a three out of five."
"From a pricing point of view, Ubiquiti is excellent."
"Ubiquiti Wireless has reasonable pricing."
