Everything has worked better since we started using it
Sometimes the syncing is inconsistent. I'm confident that the devices are checking in every eight hours, but sometimes the devices aren't picking up the settings as quickly as I would expect. Some features haven't been updated in a while, and Microsoft doesn't seem interested in developing them. Unless you talk to an engineer, you don't know whether there will be an update. There are communication issues, so you might start working with a feature without knowing if it will be deprecated six months from now. Some reporting areas still need development. For example, I noticed that the reporting for driver updates is still confusing.

Achieve certifications with progress tracking and potential for enhanced interactivity

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I like the tool's integration with Apple. Anyone who creates an ID in Intune will get an Apple ID."
"The initial setup is not complex."
"If you need only to load a specific profile and you don't have deep security functionalities, et cetera, Intune is very nice and good."
"Our bank's most valuable Intune features are centered around the dedicated device concept."
"The most valuable features of Microsoft Intune include remote updates. The update runs in the background, so there's no need in most cases to go on-site to do it."
"I like how Intune deploys the policies and makes them customizable. You can deploy it through Intune and forget about it."
"I haven't used other mobile device management solutions, but compared to SCCM, we eliminate a lot of on-premises infrastructure and maintenance by using Intune."
"The device profiling which uses the official Outlook email enabled us to control the screenshot feature and prevent copying outside of the organization's application."
"For those considering using Apache Guacamole, I wholeheartedly support its users since it's a free open-source software that is easy to download and use with no significant issues."
"Apache Guacamole is really easy to use."
"I'm using Apache Guacamole as a gateway."
"I have had a very good experience with the Claroty Platform."
"The platform ensures security without imposing significant delays."
"The solution's most valuable feature is the map, which shows everything that is connected and communicates with each other."
"The platform ensures security without imposing significant delays."
"Customer service is number one and the best."
"I appreciate the active coding, deep inspection of packages, and data retrieval. The tool covers information about assets and attack vectors, which I find superior to other tools. Based on alerts, I create reports detailing how an attacker can penetrate the plant, both externally and internally."
"Claroty provides continuous threat protection and identifies pre-empty stuff and false positives."
"I believe the two main aspects where Claroty stands out are their ability to provide a complete platform and their OT-specific focus."

Cons

"The reporting and cost have room for improvement."
"They should improve its compatibility with other operating systems such as iOS and Linux. It supports Linux but they still need to work on the iOS part."
"For an existing customer who has an SCCM, it would need to be upgraded to an MECM first before I can introduce Microsoft Intune."
"The reporting functionality of Microsoft Intune is limited compared to Microsoft System Center, which offers many more reporting options."
"Intune needs to incorporate more tools to reduce the number of third-party applications we rely on."
"Intune lags all of its competitors in terms of report generation."
"One issue that Inutune can improve is password integration with the BitLocker key option. Another issue is assigning licenses. We can assign the licenses for some users on the BPM side, and our BPS users work on Outlook 365 but cannot access it there. A BPS person can go to the company portal and download Outlook 2016. They could improve the NDIS part to assign a license directly to the BPS person that allows them to install the Intune device manager directly on our system."
"There are challenges with Intune, specifically in reporting. Many third-party companies offer single-pane-of-glass reporting that shows you what your update environment looks like, how your patch is doing, application status, etc., but Intune's reporting is not intuitive. You can connect to Azure, monitoring, and the workbooks, but it's not streamlined."
"There should be good documentation regarding GUI customization."
"There should be good documentation regarding GUI customization. Even though I can try customizing the GUI, the documentation is not comprehensive."
"The solution's USB redirection could be improved."
"Occasionally, I face a login problem despite entering the correct password."
"There is room for improvement in the user interface to make it more vibrant and interactive, similar to IT tools."
"Claroty Platform only gives the vulnerabilities based on the make and model of the devices, so it doesn't provide any resolution or any detailed explanation of how one can resolve such issues."
"There is room for improvement in the user interface to make it more vibrant and interactive, similar to IT tools. Improvements could also be made in the Secure Remote Access (SRA) user interaction and graphical representations of recordings."
"The Claroty Platform becomes too noisy when it gives numerous CVEs related to vendor match. Sometimes, these CVEs are not actually related to the device in the firmware at the site."
"Claroty Platform could improve the pricing to get more acceptability in the market."
"For improvement, I think the training could be more practical. We have external training, but they're mostly theoretical. I want the solution to provide hands-on lab experience to help users learn better."
"There are a few protocols that Claroty doesn't currently support."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is not expensive."
"On a scale of one to ten with one being the cheapest, the cost of Microsoft Intune is a five."
"Intune comes with the licensing that is common for large organizations. However, Microsoft has recently released many add-ons that are very expensive, especially for large organizations or corporations."
"Intune's pricing is competitive. For example, the license of Blackberry's Enterprise Mobility Suite was costly, but Intune is affordable. It is included as an additional feature when you buy security enhancements for your organization. For example, let's say I have fifty users in my organization and all of them are using Microsoft cloud services, like Teams, Office 365, and OneDrive."
"We work with the subscription rather than a server license. I think it's economical this way because we don't have to have a server license for that, and I think that works in our favor."
"Microsoft Intune is more expensive than other solutions, but it offers a wider range of features and control."
"Our enterprise agreement includes Microsoft Intune at no additional cost."
"Its price is in the medium range. It is acceptable because you're paying for the features. I am not aware of any additional costs."
Information not available
"The licensing for physical devices is cheap, but the software version is expensive. The software version costs around 26-28 dollars. I was surprised and even double-checked. It was shocking."
"The tool is quite expensive."
"It's a bit expensive compared to other solutions."
