Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Centralized task tracking has transformed team collaboration and has saved significant time
The features or capabilities of AppSheet that I have found the most valuable include Freeze Panes, which is one of the most valuable features, and Dropdown, which is another valuable feature. Freeze Panes is extremely important because it freezes the first top row of the sheet. When I'm scrolling the sheet and going down, I can see the first row on the screen full time while scrolling to my data. This is a very beautiful feature of Google Sheets. Additionally, the dropdown feature allows me to write yes, no, and not applicable against a particular line item without typing every time by creating a dropdown. I write it once with yes, no, not applicable, and then I select that option. The real-time updates in AppSheet improve collaboration in my team because 40 people in the same department operate on a single Google Sheet. They all update their tasks, their projects, and everything on that same sheet, which is a massive leap in technology. Otherwise, I would be mailing a single Excel sheet to 40 people and getting everybody's input from them all manually, which would be extremely time-consuming. It's a massive technology jump when it comes to collaboration.

AI app builder has transformed internal tools and now empowers business teams to build workflows
The best features Lovable offers include natural language processing which converts it as a full app generation and full-stack development in one place. Lovable is designed to make app development feel simple for non-technical users; instead of coding, you just describe what you want, which makes non-technical users able to try out and test many things by themselves. There is minimal setup required, so you don't need to configure servers, databases manually, and backend, front end, and hosting are handled automatically, allowing you to start building immediately. The fast learning curve allows building apps in a few hours and making updates instantly while understanding how things work through visual feedback. Real-time editing lets you see what you want through your text, and Lovable is quite flexible, making it more powerful. Lovable has positively impacted our organization by significantly reducing development time and increasing productivity across teams, allowing us to deliver tools faster and improve responsiveness to business needs.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The ease of use for the end user and the very low complexity in trying to build a bot are the big factors for us. We are able to work on a project, identify a use case, come up with a design spec, and execute and build a bot within a span of six to eight weeks. In nine to ten weeks, we are able to go live, which reduced complexity. Once we go live, the user interface and the user experience are extremely good."
"It is very user-friendly. Nobody has to sit down and work on coding. We have a drag and drop option where anybody can understand it."
"I have been using this solution for a while now, and I think that it is a very good platform."
"The object cloning is its most valuable feature."
"This solution has decreased the time that our employees spend on manual processes."
"Movement on cloud architecture according to me provided by AA2019, will be most beneficial as it will be easy to use and will provide flexibility."
"Automation Anywhere is very good for rapid development. It has all the capabilities in terms of giving a stable automation framework. It has very cool technical capabilities, like MetaBots, dev controls, and object cloning."
"Automation has been playing a significant role in every aspect of our institution."
"The tool's integration capabilities enhance our existing workflows and as far as the workflows are concerned, I think it is pretty seamless, intuitive, and interactive."
"The real-time updates in AppSheet improve collaboration in my team because 40 people in the same department operate on a single Google Sheet, and they all update their tasks, their projects, and everything on that same sheet, which is a massive leap in technology."
"The security of the solution is very good."
"With Google, even if you find a bug or something, it is solved quickly."
"I have found the way they structure the workflow and the fact that it a progressive application is valuable for me. This allows me to be able to build it once and use it in multiple formats."
"I chose this solution because it was cheaper than other competitors, more flexible and safe."
"The solution is quite efficient, elaborate, sophisticated, fast, and easy to use."
"The solution is pretty simple to implement."
"Lovable has positively impacted our organization by significantly reducing development time and increasing productivity across teams, allowing us to deliver tools faster and improve responsiveness to business needs."

Cons

"The data migration could be better."
"Additionally, the user interface is quite outdated and could be more user-friendly. The licensing cost is also too high, which means many small-scale industries may not choose this product."
"Migration is a little challenging since it requires direct integration with DB, credential vault and all that."
"They need to improve the real-time data and analytics."
"The certification exam for AA is not as per the training videos, as the questions are more scenario-based, which makes it very hard for beginners to clear the exam after just tutorial knowledge."
"I would like a couple more features where I can talk and the line comes up automatically."
"When I compare Automation Anywhere with the competition, some of the competitors have ready-made, off-the-shelf modules. For example, UiPath integrates with Windows AD. That is missing as of now in Automation Anywhere. If that became available it would also be great."
"I have not seen bots working efficiently in the area of reporting."
"The solution needs to improve its SQL database capabilities."
"Stability is the leading risk. We can't ensure that the solution will last since, if Google decides something, it's finished."
"If I need more than that figure, then I'm not sure how scalable AppSheet is."
"No improvements are required as AppSheet is quite efficient."
"There needs to be an improvement in their operation vision. They need to see things more globally because at the moment they are very North-America focused. We do not always have mobile applications and the way we use them is slightly different in Africa from the way they use them in America."
"There are now a lot of low-code or no-code applications available on the web. AppSheet is working on that path."
"They only give a single sign-on at a very high cost. The pricing is too high and the overall solution is far too expensive."
"What I think could be improved or enhanced in AppSheet includes the timeline feature, as that is something which is a real pain point and not very efficient in Google Sheets."
"Lovable can be improved by having more predictable credit usage, as it uses a credit-based system where each action or prompt consumes credit depending on the complexity, which is one thing to consider while scaling because pricing will make a big impact."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing for Automation Anywhere is reasonable."
"One of the key features that we chose, the bot as a service or the BotFarm, when they launched version 11.3, they decided not to have the BotFarm anymore. This put us in a situation because we expected to have bots on demand, just like our cloud software. This would have been cost efficient for us to use. We hope to see this again being realized with A2019. I hope the scalability from an on demand basis improves."
"Automation Anywhere offers a subscription-based licensing model for cloud, on-premises, and hybrid deployments."
"Additional costs will be for the machines and the number of machines that you are using. You can deploy virtually as well as on physical machines. In both the situations, you do need to allocate a certain budget for securing the machines and where the software will be installed and running. The machines cannot be used for anything else, because only a certain bot can run at a certain time. You need to be very particular about your scheduling of running the bots, and while the bot is running nobody can use the machine. You cannot have an agent working on a machine and the bot running in the background. It has to be completely dedicated. Then there are the network bandwidth requirements and space requirements, which are additional costs apart from the licensing and software costs. The developer is also going to charge you for their coding time too."
"It is reasonable, but it can always be a little bit cheaper."
"IQ Bots are very costly. It's not a sustainable bot for us as of now. We will look for better, alternate options for that."
"There is an annual license to use the solution."
"Automation Anywhere is expensive, making it more suitable for enterprise organizations."
"There is a license required to use this solution and it costs approximately $10 per user a month. I am paying $300 a month for 30 licenses."
"The tool is available at a low price."
"In terms of how much AppSheet costs, I'm currently on the free tier, but if I need to add more users to it in the future, I will go with the paid version."
"I chose this solution because it was cheaper than other competitors."
