Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Can be used for the virtualization of TCP/IP protocols for third-party terminal insurance
We use it for the virtualization of third-party APIs for performance testing. Our second use case is related to the virtualization of TCP/IP protocols for third-party terminal insurance, which is used for insurance clients In the case of the virtualization of TCP/IP protocols for third-party…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Having no restriction for any single programming language is very useful."
"Automation Anywhere has improved our organization by allowing us to reduce the number of new hires, enable us to keep the same workforce, and increase productivity."
"The ease of use is the most valuable feature. It's very easy to use, so to get started, you don't really need hardcore development skills."
"Automation Anywhere has helped me save both time and costs, with savings of approximately eight million in the last two to three years, and in terms of percentage, I saved around thirty to forty percent of time compared to before using Automation Anywhere."
"Our workforce has limited capacity. By adding this solution, we can increase the amount of work coming in without adding to our workforce."
"Automation Anywhere is very simple to use; the features are very simple, the application is light, and overall I love it."
"The best part about A2019 is its ease of use. You don't need to be a coding champ or an expert to use and implement A2019 in automating tasks. It's very easy to learn, tweak, and implement in your day-to-day tasks, especially features like capture/record is completely marvelous."
"The main thing is the simple UI, easy to use commands, and it's very easy to learn compared to other tools in the market."
"Virtualize - the best mocking/stubbing tool I've ever seen, allows for easier data management"
"Service virtualization is beneficial as it allows system and integration testing to be done, without depending on a fully available environment."
"Unit testing or early life testing did not have to be stopped or delayed because those services were not available."
"You can create virtual services from a live recording or you can even take raw traffic and convert that into request/response pairs, and you can create an entire virtual service from just those simple little files, and that's super awesome when that all works out."
"The other thing is, it's got probably the greatest amount of features, in terms of different technologies that you can automate and virtualize, out of any of the solutions out there."
"The most valuable features are the recording and creating of virtual services, especially in creating IBM MQ virtual services through recording."
"CA Service Virtualization has helped us advance the development cycle when third-party interfaces are not available to us."
"The most valuable features are the recording and creating of virtual services."

Cons

"There are occasional technical issues, particularly with cloud operations. Sometimes, the bot struggles to initiate on the cloud, even when everything appears in place."
"Accuracy to process handwritten documents should be improved and more analytics and intelligence-related capabilities should be added."
"The implementation process is complex, as there is integration with other applications."
"If it had the ability to make decisions in complex situations, the bot would perform more smoothly. More advanced decision-making skills are needed for improvement."
"Reliability and error handling should be improved."
"We had a major issue when it came to single sign-on. We couldn't get it working. There was a bug in Automation Anywhere that eventually got solved just a few weeks back. However, we have not implemented it. We have had hiccups with the single sign-on, but otherwise it was a smooth setup. We are not using single sign-on because of this bug."
"The API integration should be improved further since it is a bit difficult at the moment to connect with the API in the enterprise version."
"The bot insides should come in the same package versus having it as a different bundle by itself."
"It is not a stable solution."
"It is difficult and requires a lot of manual effort to debug/troubleshoot any virtual service."
"I would like to have more flexibility towards the mainframe virtualization and also in JDBC virtualization."
"There have been some issues with Service Virtualization, but I would have to ask the team for more specific details."
"Right now, we can do service virtualization but there is no mainframe testing feature in this tool such as batch processing; it is the feature that I need."
"They still need to improve the reporting functionality for better customization."
"I really want to see more of the "express" kind of model, where you get a little bit for free. I'd love to be able to see you be able to edit and author tests without having to be connected to a licensed server."
"The one main thing we want to see is more on the reporting side."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I would like them to have better license management."
"Pricing is too high for small-scale groups. The Control Room yearly fee is high, making it difficult to break even."
"It's fine. However, I'm concerned with the credits in terms of the pricing for the AI models. It is understandable that the new ones are more expensive, but the base models, after doing the pricing conversion, cost about four to ten times as much as paying directly."
"The pricing is reasonable and one can achieve ROI faster when compared to other tools."
"Automation Anywhere is flexible in terms of costing and licensing."
"It's the best RPA tool, but the pricing could be improved."
"The price is very reasonable."
"I am using that Automation Anywhere Master Certification for version 11. Recently, this has been updated in Automation Anywhere University. Until this month, it's free to use. There are no charges. That's why I would like to complete it this month."
"I don't have the exact dollar amount, but we have spent close to $1,000,000 for a three-year agreement, for an enterprise level."
"There is a yearly licensing cost, and I would give it a four out of five."
"There are additional fees for advanced-level technical support."
"I think the pricing is quite fair because this solution provides a lot of functionalities, and is quite stable."
