Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Can be used for the virtualization of TCP/IP protocols for third-party terminal insurance
We use it for the virtualization of third-party APIs for performance testing. Our second use case is related to the virtualization of TCP/IP protocols for third-party terminal insurance, which is used for insurance clients In the case of the virtualization of TCP/IP protocols for third-party…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"By automating most of our LOB's on the healthcare side and putting it on production, we have saved millions of dollars and were also able to achieve FTE benefits."
"We have more than 50 bots in the company, the FTE and ROI are very good, and in the future we have many projects in pipeline that we are about to implement, so definitely there is a good ROI and FTE savings for us."
"Toward this life cycle, we have a very structured approach of governing, monitoring, and tracking, that's the approach we have taken. Insights we gain from this governance, we apply towards automation strategy and implementations. We've done this for many clients across the globe. We are happy to share those experiences with some of you as well."
"What I appreciate the most about Automation Anywhere is that the tool is very robust."
"My experience with Automation Anywhere over three years has shown tremendous growth in operational efficiency and business processes, as it helps to automate repetitive and rule-based tasks such as report generation and data entry quite faster and efficiently, reducing errors by about thirty to forty percent from what I observed a few years back and improving SLA-related compliance."
"The support team responds quickly."
"We have started to see the ROI, as activities in which resources in my team would have taken four to five hours are now done in 30 minutes."
"In terms of monetary savings, we automated a bot in three days that has saved us $30,000 in costs."
"Using the power of CA Service Virtualization, it is now possible to perform integration testing on every application build."
"We have saved a lot in terms of the time it takes to test data setup infrastructure and turn around time for testing."
"We use CA Service Virtualization to stub out various downstream systems, it helps to reduce the environment contention with other downstream testing teams."
"Think “outside the box” when you think about how this product can be used."
"Unit testing or early life testing did not have to be stopped or delayed because those services were not available."
"The CAI aka Pathfinder is a great capability and will help the organization to achieve SV goals and expand the SV to different systems without many firewall changes or changes in the existing environment setup."
"We viewed CA Service Virtualization as a game changer, giving us the ability to add test environment virtualization in order to reduce test cycles for our clients."
"Service virtualization is the most valuable feature because we can create end-to-end services without actual hardware, so that saves a lot of cost and money."

Cons

"They could improve the learning curve."
"Sometimes the tool is timing out, which would be a good thing to have resolved."
"The goal of any automation is to provide efficiencies... I would like a default feature where each bot gives us data on all the benefits it provides from its process."
"The debugger is also a weakness of the tool, forcing the developer to use error handling or message box to map errors. Few applications take more time for loading when integrated."
"I haven't gone deep in the tool, but so far it looks good."
"I would like to see GitHub or GitLab integration in the next version."
"My biggest suggestion would be to allow us to set up test and development licenses or environments that don't use unattended licenses needed for production."
"On the document automation side, the document learning features are not as robust as one would expect them to be. When I am doing document automation and a document fails due to low confidence in populating a field, it requires manual correction."
"UI should be more user friendly: better usability, more testing oriented."
"There have been some issues with Service Virtualization, but I would have to ask the team for more specific details."
"The biggest area of improvement is in the licensing. The licensing costs are very high."
"Reporting needs to be improved for both manual and performance testing."
"We don’t see enough value in virtualizing the services just because it requires a huge amount of maintenance and there is not much support available online."
"Licensing definitely needs more flexible models. Too many complicated parameters also makes it difficult for us to explain them to our customers."
"The biggest challenge I've had is upgrading."
"There were problems where it doesn't support the technology. We have to write custom functions ourselves."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We are interested in saving manual engineer man-hours. So far, we have saved $100,000."
"Because it reduced the time duration of our processes, our costs went down."
"The pricing model can be a bit more flexible."
"Automation Anywhere is expensive."
"As far as costs, it depends on your use. We started with a basic department pack, which is over 10K. The additional costs depend on the scale of the engagement and how it pans out. We customize to our needs on the go."
"The solution's pricing is pretty decent."
"We have a few licenses. They cost roughly $10,000 each."
"It's fine. However, I'm concerned with the credits in terms of the pricing for the AI models. It is understandable that the new ones are more expensive, but the base models, after doing the pricing conversion, cost about four to ten times as much as paying directly."
"I don't have the exact dollar amount, but we have spent close to $1,000,000 for a three-year agreement, for an enterprise level."
"There are additional fees for advanced-level technical support."
"I think the pricing is quite fair because this solution provides a lot of functionalities, and is quite stable."
"There is a yearly licensing cost, and I would give it a four out of five."
