Delivers increased productivity and streamlines fraud processing in banking, though technical support could be faster
Before AutomationEdge, we had to hire coder-level experts with Java or Python knowledge. This approach took considerable time and required error handling to automate processes. With this tool, all processes are automatically handled with errors, and no-code automation is available. The cost for a developer is now significantly lower. Previously, we hired highly efficient developers with high salary packages. The license cost of 5 to 10 lakhs per year for one person to automate is equivalent to a person's annual salary. With the license and a developer hired at 3 to 5 lakhs, we can automate 40 to 50 processes.

Significantly reduces manual effort and improves team workflows through automated ticketing
We've used Agent Builder, IXP, and Maestro for orchestration. We have created context-grounded searches or chatbots using context grounding, and we also use context grounding within an Agentic flow where a bot or agent reads ServiceNow tickets to determine whether it has been assigned to the right work group. If it has not been assigned correctly due to human error, it automatically reassigns it to the right group. I would assess Agentic AI's ability to extract data points as effective. We created an agent for the purpose of extracting data, though not in a document. We created what we call an email conversation agent that engages with a customer, vendor, or someone in an email conversation with a set goal of extracting specific data points for an action to be performed subsequently. The one automation we have deployed in production involves the agent interacting with team members to collect data points and create a ServiceNow ticket. We appreciate almost all features of UiPath Platform, with one of the most successful ones being the use of Coms Mining. Most of the new features related to AI have all been good, and we use Agentic. We have already created a few agents and have started to use Maestro for a few flows, though we are not yet there to orchestrate an end-to-end workflow. We have good ROI from the automations we have developed with UiPath Platform, which far exceeds the investment in the platform. It has saved us tens of thousands of hours in manual effort, making the team members happy to pursue other things of value.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The initial setup was easy and straightforward."
"AutomationEdge has shown the most productive impact, and the productivity was excellent before, and now it can increase by 20 to 30% more with AI implementation."
"The support from the vendor is very good."
"If we want to change your processes, we can code it from scratch, making it a beneficial feature of the product."
"AutomationEdge has shown the most productive impact, and the productivity was excellent before, and now it can increase by 20 to 30% more with AI implementation."
"We can quickly adapt to our end users."
"AutomationEdge is really easy to use because the workflows are simple."
"The chatbot that they have is most valuable. It is one of the best features because they own it, and they don't need to integrate with other parties to have a chatbot. This is one of the main features. The rest of the features are common to all RPA tools or vendors available in the market."
"AI functionality enabled our clients to automate more processes overall. It helped with end-to-end automation in the way that if you automate more processes, you save more time, and save more money for the company."
"Orchestrator works great, allowing us to do a lot of our monitoring directly through there."
"The fact that you can scale automations without having to pay attention to the infrastructure for doing so is quite critical. The infrastructure could require a lot of maintenance resources and affect costs, so that feature is quite important."
"The useability is very good - even for non-technical people."
"UiPath's Object Repository was huge. I could build these libraries because our industry works with many of the same systems. It's hard to integrate with Yardi's core CRM, and many of our automation efforts focus on getting information in and out of that system. The ability to build these libraries of reusable selectors has dramatically benefited me over the past couple of years."
"The user community is definitely useful."
"UiPath's ease of use for automating our company's processes is a five out of five. We have found it very easy to talk to them, identifying what can be done along with the potential use cases. They have been very good at guiding us through what is realistic at this point, how their robots could help us save time and improve accuracy, and how our users can engage with their robots, e.g., ensuring that users engage with the robots and use their product."
"The easy development process is very useful for us."

Cons

"Regarding stability and reliability, AutomationEdge is mid-range. When compared with other tools such as Automation Anywhere and UIPath, they are more stable than AutomationEdge."
"AutomationEdge's ecosystem has shortcomings and needs improvement. When we compare AutomationEdge to other RPA tools in our company, we find that it has a very minor online community."
"The ease of use is the main thing on which they really have to focus. If they want to go against the giants, it should be improved in ease of use, and it should be more user-friendly. It would be helpful because everyone should be empowered irrespective of whether they know how to code or not. They should enhance its user interface and make it more intuitive."
"The price of the solution could be improved."
"With other automation solutions in the market, we can simulate the process in our notebooks where the solution creates the code for us, but with AutomationEdge we can't do this."
"When compared with other tools such as Automation Anywhere and UIPath, they are more stable than AutomationEdge."
"AutomationEdge's primary issue is its price point, especially compared to other products."
"In the future, they should have a similar version for the cloud and on-premises, and the installation should be flawless within few minutes."
"I would like UiPath to work more with our local partners, to provide us with lower prices, localized functionality, and support."
"I don't see everything, so it's hard for me to pinpoint something specific that they don't have on their roadmap."
"What needs some improvement in UiPath is its Document Understanding functionality. It should be simplified because, right now, it's a little complicated to use, as you have to give it data or details, so in the future, I hope that could be improved."
"The Orchestrator portion can be difficult. Previously, the Orchestrator which everyone was using, was quite simple to use. However, the new one is quite complex to understand."
"Although improvements have been made, such as auto-healing, there is room for improvement. Changes in the UI can break automations. If you upgrade from Windows 10 to 11, you may need to rewrite some of those UI selectors completely. That is probably the biggest weakness that I can think of."
"Its price is higher than others, and the licensing model is quite confusing."
"I talked to the product team. They are very passionate about this. In my opinion, all the different components that they have now released should be integrated under a single umbrella, available through a single landing page. That way, everything integrates with each other and they are able to communicate data back and forth. To me, that would be the ultimate solution."
"The add-ons are not well documented."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Price-wise, AutomationEdge is pretty affordable, making it not so expensive when you compare this with other tools in the market."
"The product is available at the lowest price."
"Pricing can be made better. Currently, I think the pricing is based on the market. The pricing also depends on the business partners that offer you the solution."
"If you are looking for a budget solution, you can consider AE. It has all the features. Scaling it is way easier because of the cost itself."
"The licensing for this solution should have a more competitive pricing model. The price is in the top five of similar products."
"I give the price of the solution a nine out of ten."
"It is expensive but its value can justify the cost."
"In one case, I had the prices in front of me, and it was not expensive for the service it was providing."
"The solution is more expensive than Power Platform which offers many connectors to third parties."
"Because we have so many agents, that's why we went unattended. Attended was very expensive for us because it's a per person license. Where we can take entire workflows, do the triggering and scheduling, etc. We never have to have any human interaction with unattended."
"Compared to other automation tools, UiPath is expensive."
"License costs are high, but the setup is really quick and does not demand a lot of resources involved."
"The main problem around scalability is the licensing structure and the inability to dynamically assign licenses across robots. While I know this is coming, this is our main gripe with scalability: the licensing structure. Because we are part of a larger setup with our own IT supplier, who does a multitenancy setup with Orchestrator, to have more flexibility with the use of licenses would be very valuable."
"The pricing is competitive, and for large-scale use cases, UiPath may make better sense cost-wise. However, it is not very viable for small-scale use cases. Power Automate is much cheaper and has similar functionalities. UiPath offers two options. If you choose the on-premises option, then you would have to manage it yourself, but if you go for the fully managed one, then there won't be any overhead cost. We are gradually moving to Power Automate and Power Apps because we are already on the Microsoft stack, and it helps us reduce the footprint. If the cost of UiPath were comparable to that of Power Automate, then UiPath would have been the better alternative."
"Blue Prism definitely has a simpler licensing structure, but I feel like that's almost a shot in the foot at certain points. It also gets kind of deceptive. There's a crossover point at which, if you're scaling up to a high number of bots, UiPath path definitely does come out cheaper. But the initial implementation has a higher cost."
