Managed services with seamless integration and good reliability
Since I have to view everything on the console, the previous application solutions like IBM and Sanavi showed the RPO and RTO status directly. In AWS Disaster Recovery Service, these details are not available, making it difficult to check my replication status. I have to calculate whether my data is replicated to the Adarabad region or not. These features, if available in AWS, would be beneficial.

Provides server-side and backend application support but needs better interface
The last update made the interface look somewhat unfamiliar to users. Data recovery was technically flawless at some point. However, an update after a merger changed things. The current procedure for data encryption is not as straightforward as before, and we're facing some challenges. Specifically, one user encrypted their data, and since they have left the company, we cannot decrypt it. This has resulted in a loss of access to that data.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Technical support has been very good. They usually respond quickly to our requests."
"We have never had any issues with scalability."
"The solution is dependent on the network bandwidth. For example, if they have a bandwidth of 10Mbps the solution will run a little heavier. If the bandwidth is good the solution runs well."
"The initial setup is really straightforward."
"AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery is a robust and reliable solution for disaster recovery needs."
"It offers seamless integration with services like ACL, EKS, and Fargate for deploying containerized applications."
"The initial setup is pretty straightforward, it's not complex."
"It provides our disaster recovery solution. It works fine in our tests."
"You don't need a certified administrator to manage this product."
"On a scale of 1-10, I rate this solution a 10."
"One of the most valuable features is it is available on the cloud, so I do not need to make a firewall. Second, the backup speed is outstanding. The third thing is that the section policy is very good and gives you a lot of flexibility and granularity regarding what you need to back up."
"The tool has good features. The backup is also accurate."
"Druva is offered as a service so that we can access it from any enterprise-based browser or URL. We also have a single sign-on, which allows me to log in securely. Hence, I can easily access the system, configure it, perform day-to-day monitoring tasks, and check for any issues or configurations needed. Overall, it's a simple and easy-to-use tool with a high-speed and straightforward interface for management."
"It's incredibly fast."
"We get control over authentication policies and create an agentless backup by generating a token for that."
"Druva inSync is very easy to use."

Cons

"Sometimes a server will get a bit behind. "
"Definitely there should be better logging. From a customer perspective I would like to see more logs on what is happening. If there is an issue, I would like to know what the problem is. Right now, we have to depend on the support of the vendor to check and let us know, because we don't have access to a lot of logging information."
"The failback could be improved. It should be more intuitive."
"Since I have to view everything on the console, the previous application solutions like IBM and Sanavi showed the RPO and RTO status directly. In AWS Disaster Recovery Service, these details are not available, making it difficult to check my replication status."
"The product could be improved by incorporating more AI-driven automation for deployment and additional security features. These enhancements would make the solution even more user-friendly and secure."
"I set up a test, deleted the source, and went to fail it back, and it didn't work."
"The user interface, customer support, and the recovery time for the current customer query could use improvement."
"The solution's network setup and a lot of the control tower setup could be improved."
"Druva inSync is very high in price. A general customer cannot afford this solution. Even if the product is good, people cannot afford such a high cost just for taking the backup. This is a recurring investment, and the customers have to pay for it every year. Druva is also yet to develop the channel and the channel or partner commitment."
"This solution would benefit from the inclusion of an on-premise backup feature, as currently, they are offering everything in the cloud."
"The speed could be better."
"One functionality I would like is the ability to manage multiple Office 365 tenants from a single console."
"The one area that needs to improve is the pricing."
"If I could have an accelerator or something to back up the solution on the cloud, that would be helpful. Also, it would be helpful if the accelerator could give me a buffer of a couple of days for any kind of immediate recovery on an offsite."
"I would like to see security improved in the next release."
"The backup time is very poor. The backup runs continuously. It goes on from morning till night. The system performance also becomes very poor when Druva inSync is running."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"They license us on a per machine basis. We have a set number of machines, which we have licensed."
"The pricing is better now that they had come out with the Tier 2 which replicates a little less often. In comparison to what I would have been spending with any other type of solution, the pricing is fair."
"I rate the price of CloudEndure Disaster Recovery a six out of ten."
"I feel the product's pricing is a good value. Licensing is pretty straightforward."
"CloudEndure Disaster Recovery is charging clients $20 to do the DR backups. It is an expensive solution."
"We were happy with the pricing that they gave us."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing an eight out of ten."
"It has saved us money from having to buy hardware for disaster recovery."
"The price is quite good, It's approximately $4000.00 per user for one year."
"The product is fairly priced, I would rate its pricing five out of ten."
"Out of all the solutions we evaluated, Druva inSync was the most affordable."
"The pricing of Druva inSync is very high as compared to other cloud backup solutions."
"Once you decide to go with this product the cost can be worked out with the vendor."
"It is an expensive product for the middle class or SMB customers in India. A lot of top-level big companies also cannot afford this solution. During the license period, one can download the entire data from the cloud without paying any additional cost. This way the data can be easily recreated from the stored data when a machine is lost or the data is compromised."
"It's approximately $4000.00 per user for one year."
"The pricing is good."
