Long-term user praises cost savings and reliability of disaster recovery solutions
There is only one thing to note: the agent has to be up-to-date when SCCM or any third-party tools are doing patching activities. If their agent version is mismatched and the health status is critical, you will not be able to perform your Azure Site Recovery. Recently, I worked with a mass issue related to Recovery Services Vault, and the VM support engineers are taking a lot of time to extend support to the customer. When you raise a call, they wait too long, and even if you request an engineer to set up a call for severity B cases, they are not ready to communicate over the phone, preferring email instead.

Simple and flexible backup solution
I mainly use Cloud Connect as a cloud backup repository Cloud Connect's best features are its simplicity, flexibility, and constantly-expanding options. I've been using Cloud Connect for about four years. We encountered some issues with stability at the beginning, but these were fixed after…

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Azure Site Recovery helps to save costs."
"The most useful thing is that it provides a snapshot of your environment in about 15 minutes, it is stable, and it always works, and it is also scalable and easy to set up."
"What I love about Azure Site Recovery is its simplicity for basic configurations."
"They're moving a lot of their workload to cloud and aiming for a seamlessly integrated product."
"You can create automation to move workloads and redirect traffic to another region."
"The features I find most valuable in Azure Site Recovery include the test failover, which allows us to test our site recovery without bringing down the primary; disaster recovery provides that feature."
"Site Recovery's most valuable features include its user-friendly console and the ease of migration."
"Azure Site Recovery is obviously a time-saving solution, and I can write PowerShell scripts to automate failover on or off processes."
"The most valuable features are the fast replication and recovery of data."
"The stability and restore options on the solution are very good."
"The most valuable quality of Veeam Cloud Connect is its reliability."
"I am happy with their support, they are fast, and their response is very good."
"the interface is the most valuable feature and for the client it's security."
"I like this solution and recommend it to clients."
"It hasn't given us any issues so far."
"Generally speaking about Veeam, as a vendor, from a technical support perspective, I've really enjoyed the fact that they have a really high response rate."

Cons

"It is for site-to-site replication. When something goes wrong on your site, you only get 15 minutes before it also goes wrong on your replicated site."
"Azure Site Recovery's deployment is complex. There are a lot of bugs, and it needs to improve stability."
"we lack a straightforward method to automate the restart of services, which can be quite time-consuming."
"The product's performance is an area of concern where improvements are required."
"It is for site-to-site replication. When something goes wrong on your site, you only get 15 minutes before it also goes wrong on your replicated site. There should be some way to be able to say that we want to restore it, but we want to restore it to the version from yesterday. It should support versioning. I would also like to see real-time scanning for advanced threat protection, more straightforward billing, and quicker turnaround on the tech support."
"Currently, Azure Site Recovery does not support shared disk options. Moreover, it does not support services like AppConfig or App Services."
"The immutable backup could be better and should be improved."
"We've invested nearly 20 million pounds in Azure and it's been an absolute disaster for us."
"It would be helpful if the enterprise edition was more complete. It's not as complete as the enterprise plus edition is."
"There are some issues with the cloud providers for Veeam Cloud Connect that do not support all the features."
"The flexibility results in more administrative GUI. The GUI needs improvement."
"The pricing is much higher than what our clients expect it to be."
"We are now able to work on more security-related tasks with Acronis, as they offer features such as antivirus, DLP, and various cybersecurity options. This is a significant improvement compared to our previous solution with Veeam Cloud Connect, where we were lacking such features. It also allows us to offer a wider range of security options to our customers."
"I think the pricing could be improved and I also think archiving could be improved."
"The solution could improve the stability."
"We need the solution to offer IT storage."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"They have a license to pay."
"The tool is expensive. What is expensive to me might not be expensive to you. As I mentioned, we seek ways to reduce our costs. If the price goes down, that would be great. I rate the tool's pricing a six out of ten."
"Azure Site Recovery is affordable."
"Azure Site Recovery is neither very expensive nor very cheap."
"It should have more straightforward billing. The billing was what got funky. It was really cheap. We would pay based on the usage. We paid around $225 a month for site-to-site replication."
"I'm not sure about the Azure Site Recovery pricing, but my organization gets monthly bills from providers."
"Azure Site Recovery is a very reasonably priced product."
"The tool's licensing is yearly and not expensive."
"We are looking into how we can extend the license of this product."
"The licensing is MSP-based. It is connected to the portal, and you can deploy it to your end users as well."
"It's not the cheapest solution on the market but it's reliable, so we find it cost-effective."
"The licensing fee is on a monthly basis."
"I think that this is one of the most cost-effective solutions."
"The price of the solution is reasonable because of our good standing with the vendor."
"The price of the solution could be cheaper. There are monthly or yearly subscription options available. The annual subscription tends to be cheaper."
"The pricing of Veeam Cloud Connect is good."
