Admin gets the information about which computer has been infected and good to use for servers and endpoints
The important factor is that after implementing Bitdefender, we haven't found any attacks. It has a vaccine for the RDP protocol, which is specific to this. We do some customization, but it does not lack any protection. Compared to older versions, we have not found any degradation in performance in the newer versions from the last three to five years, whether for graphical or normal users. They're not complaining that we are facing problems like memory issues. Bitdefender is also customizable and granular, but once you install it, it keeps running. The admin gets the information about which computer has been infected and can take action accordingly. On a regular basis, Bitdefender's AI capability is okay. But you cannot leave some decisions to AI. You must have control. You have to look at what you're filtering, as it can be a false positive. But on a regular basis, AI can be helpful.

Realtime intelligent end-to-end detection and protection from malware in a highly versatile product
From a technical perspective, I think ServerProtect is one of the best security products on the market. It is a mature product that already has most features that any product of this type has. What can be improved is that the cost is very high. So I feel that the cost should be reduced, even if it is justified. One thing that I would like to see as an additional feature is just a custom sandbox within the solution itself. So instead of having to go and use an additional sandbox for testing, you could have a custom sandbox integrated directly into the solution.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is very easy to configure and deploy."
"We find the protection the solution provides valuable."
"The tool has a firewall module to control traffic. It also has a feature to map incidents and provide information about attackers and the environment."
"Protection is the most valuable feature."
"I like its unified interface, which also helps you scan Outlook email, for example. Multiple products can be standardized across endpoints or the EDR solution, and the integrations with SIEMs."
"What I appreciate most about Bitdefender are its web content filtering, blocking malicious sites, and its ability to thwart brute force attacks on open ports."
"We use patch management to keep our software up-to-date, significantly mitigating our risk of vulnerabilities. We're confident that Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security will either already know about new threats and have updated our machines, or they'll advise us quickly on mitigating them until an update is available."
"The most valuable features of Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security are remote administration and deployment, comprehensive firewall protection, malware protection, and antivirus."
"I use this solution for data blocking, software protection, and frame protection."
"The most valuable features are the anti-malware and antivirus capabilities."
"Performance is very good."
"Allows us to protect OneDrive and SharePoint, and emails too."
"It can be managed from the cloud."
"The initial setup is very straightforward."
"ServerProtect's best feature is virtual patching, which takes care of patching even if your servers aren't updated with the latest threat definitions."
"Able to quarantine any malware."

Cons

"The firewall capabilities could benefit from an upgrade since it lacks a high level of granularity and control."
"Machines with low memory and CPU may experience slow performance."
"At this point in time, the download footprint is a bit big. What I mean is the initial file I download to deploy on end-user devices is about six hundred to seven hundred megabytes, and it should be scaled down to an agent size of maybe less than one hundred megabytes, max."
"The connection with the controller needs improvement. Some connections are currently unstable."
"It could be simplified a little bit for firewall rules and blocking specific IP addresses. It would be nice to have an option to upload a CSV or XLSX file of IP addresses to be blacklisted or to be able to specify a range as attempted logins from botnets and people attempting to access network accounts is an increasing issue across the board."
"The solution's stability could be better."
"There is room for improvement in CPU utilization."
"The tool needs to improve patch and vulnerability management."
"Integration with different platforms could be an area for improvement in Trend Micro ServerProtect, e.g. it needs more integration. It could also be more secure and more stable. In the next release, this solution should also include more EDR visibility."
"Trend Micro is a little bit complicated when it comes to setting up special policies."
"No built-in vulnerability scanner for management solutions."
"Could include additional features such as an intrusion prevention system."
"The cost is very high and it should be lower to be more competitive."
"We found that when we push Trend Micro from the console to our client's PCs, we need to manually restart the PC. I have 500 users and the manual input is time-consuming."
"One thing I have been facing is that some fake threats have appeared that even Trend Micro was not able to clear up. It couldn't tell you why these threats are happening, where they are coming from and what the costs are."
"The solution should provide features to block devices, specific IPs or URLs"

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product's pricing is okay and it is yearly."
"The solution is reasonable and is nominally priced in accordance with the features that offer to the market."
"In terms of the licensing costs associated with Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security, the agreement was made nearly three years ago, but from what I recall, the figure was around €6,000 to €7,000 for three years, including support for two hundred endpoints."
"Its price has gone up since our last renewal. My renewal fee has gone from $517.99 in 2018 for 3 years to $739.99 when it renews this year in July. I love the product, but a price increase of over 40% is a bit exorbitant."
"You don't have to pay extra after buying the product."
"The price is fair."
"We pay for an annual license which is affordable."
"The licensing costs can vary."
"Pricing is based on the components you choose from the suite to run in your installation. Costs vary by the number of features and the number of servers."
"The product is available at a reasonable price"
"In terms of price, the solution is in the middle; it's neither the cheapest nor the most expensive. I rate it three out of five for cost."
"Pricewise, this product is okay."
"This product has an annual subscription, but also offers MSP options."
