Delivers lightweight protection while facing challenges with technical aspects
I have been working with Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security for quite a long time, but recently, I do not appreciate their changes, especially on the technical side. They moved some portions to remote GUI-based interfaces. The Command Line Interface (CLI) is not improving. Even experienced personnel are finding it difficult. There is a power user function where you can stop it temporarily for installing applications. Previously, we had the option to click on the power user button and enter the password to allow stopping that particular function. Now, we have to do it via CLI, which even technical personnel struggle to understand. Currently, everything is working fine except for the technical aspects we can control. If they can revert to the old system, that would be much better. When we raise this issue with Bitdefender, they cite security reasons for the change. However, while Cisco is moving away from CLI to GUI, Bitdefender is moving backward. Normal users cannot handle these CLI operations effectively.

Central console streamlines patch monitoring and device management effortlessly
WithSecure Elements Endpoint Protection is good and easy to set up. I provide an installation file for every client through my domain controller and GPO, and it works properly. We have faced no incidents with viruses or network breaches, and it's easy to monitor patches. I can use remote desktop from the central console. The solution also saves my time because, being the only one handling it, I can monitor all devices easily.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We find the protection the solution provides valuable."
"The cloud console is good and the tool is effective in protection."
"Protection is the most valuable feature."
"It is very easy to configure and deploy."
"Bitdefender is also customizable and granular, but once you install it, it keeps running."
"In terms of threat detection, I would give it a ten out of ten since Bitdefender manages to catch threats that other products miss."
"Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security has a lot of telemetry that allows me to really see what's going on with the device."
"Since implementing Bitdefender, the traffic to the firewall has significantly reduced, and network congestion has been resolved."
"WithSecure Elements Endpoint Protection is good and easy to set up."
"F-Secure is useful for keeping user machines up-to-date by pushing out security and critical updates."
"There is a layer of security to prevent a malicious agent (malware) from interrupting or stopping services, deleting or modifying registry entries or even stopping the antivirus from acting, ensuring that there will be no interruption of protection."
"We use the product for detecting network vulnerabilities and for software update purposes."
"On the cloud management page, the solution scales up very highly."
"The most valuable features of WithSecure Elements Endpoint Protection are the clear useful portal and overall company protection."
"Both incoming and outgoing traffic is protected."
"The notifications and patch management features are valuable."

Cons

"The tool needs to improve patch and vulnerability management."
"They've got all this training that's available, but it involves stuff that doesn't really encompass the solution as a whole."
"The solution must be more user-friendly."
"Sometimes the response from Technical Support takes more time than usual because level three support is not in Brazil."
"Overall, Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security is quite good. It always has new features which customers can use for free, so I can't say that something is missing in the solution, though one area for improvement is that the cloud version of Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security still can't connect to a central SIEM. The on-premises version has that capability, but the cloud version doesn't."
"Machines with low memory and CPU may experience slow performance."
"There is room for improvement in CPU utilization."
"The live monitoring service from Bitdefender's center is expensive and has room for improvement."
"But the biggest one for us is patch management because this has been our top priority when looking at alternatives. Every solution needs to have patch management, if that's possible. It would cut costs on our side if that feature were included, so we don't need to pay for two separate pieces of software."
"The solution could improve by having more real-time responses. For example, when a license gets removed from a computer it does not update the records of the change. Additionally, when I installed Microsoft Windows Defender I was not able to send licenses through email to our tenants. The integration with other solutions could improve."
"There could be a dedicated security partner with essential knowledge."
"Resource consumption is suboptimal and could be improved."
"One problem is that the solution takes too much RAM from the client."
"There is no technical support available in the Middle East."
"I would like the part of Hash Analysis by external sources to be improved."
"The program and cloud service management is in English. It's not a problem for me, however, it might be for users who don't speak English or use it regularly."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"There are many licensing options available, we have been on monthly agreements and other volume contract agreements."
"The price is fair."
"In terms of the licensing costs associated with Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security, the agreement was made nearly three years ago, but from what I recall, the figure was around €6,000 to €7,000 for three years, including support for two hundred endpoints."
"Its price has gone up since our last renewal. My renewal fee has gone from $517.99 in 2018 for 3 years to $739.99 when it renews this year in July. I love the product, but a price increase of over 40% is a bit exorbitant."
"You don't have to pay extra after buying the product."
"The solution is reasonable and is nominally priced in accordance with the features that offer to the market."
"Good in terms of pricing and flexibility."
"The licensing costs can vary."
"If you purchase licenses in bulk the price of the licenses can decrease."
"The price is comparable."
"The product has average pricing."
"The cost of the solution depends on the size of the company and where the licenses are being ordered from."
"We pay a yearly licensing fee of about €20 per computer."
