Useful in webinars, meetings and online classrooms
One of the features that people enjoy is the whiteboard, providing opportunities for academics to present content and for students to contribute. The platform also allows for the creating of different rooms, enabling large classes to break into smaller groups for discussions. Students can then return to the main classroom to share their opinions. It integrates with LMS.

Have streamlined daily workflow and task management but still face inconvenience from recent interface changes and limited integration options
There are challenges and issues in Microsoft Teams, such as after recent updates where group chats were combined with Teams, chats, and groups into one. Users have to work with settings to make it normal again so Teams are separated from chats, and that was a really inconvenient update. Many users ask me to help make it back again to separate Teams and groups from one-to-one chats. That's probably the worst update they've made recently. Additionally, there are some minor features, such as when I work with messages, I don't have an actual forward or quote option when replying to someone's message. I need to be careful not to miss the quote sign. For a lot of people, they are confused about where the quotes option is. I've received a couple of hundred support tickets just regarding this issue. The function to share email to Teams chat doesn't work sometimes due to our compliance policies, and sometimes it would be nice to be able to forward an email to the group chat and have further discussions. Microsoft Teams could improve by being less glitchy because it glitches a lot, leading to undelivered emails and undelivered messages. It would be beneficial if the MS application Shifts, which adds functionality to groups, could be integrated into the groups calendar. Currently, many teams don't use the app because it is not integrated with the general calendar or the Outlook calendar, making it basically a useless application. The platform needs less Copilot and more people. The general Copilot integration into the platform is less glitchy, but Microsoft Teams is quite heavy and glitchy sometimes. Stability depends a lot on compliance restrictions, policies, and quality of internet. Sometimes, when updates are enrolling, the platform glitches, breaks, or shuts down.

Pros

"One of the features that people enjoy is the whiteboard, providing opportunities for academics to present content and for students to contribute. The platform also allows for the creating of different rooms, enabling large classes to break into smaller groups for discussions. Students can then return to the main classroom to share their opinions. It integrates with LMS."
"Document loading and annotation."
"The solution allows me to connect and collaborate with my classes."
"Multiple channels and tools for recording."
"The collaborating feature."
"You can add teams to a conversation. You can create reports, project plans, or many other things based on Microsoft solutions. It has improved communication between teams and within each team."
"The most valuable feature for me is the chat."
"The solution's most valuable feature is Microsoft Planner. Most users now use Microsoft Teams since many companies use Microsoft Office 365. It's built into the plan, and they use the same email address for a single sign-on."
"Valuable screen sharing feature."
"Managing meeting on Microsoft Teams is better than managing traditional face to face meetings."
"You can easily integrate with other applications quite easily."

Cons

"If there were maybe more tutorials outside of what I'm aware the university is suggesting, I would take more tutorials on effective ways to deliver content. I come from the industry and content was always needed when people that were observing were smart and involved and decision-makers instead of so passively just trying to pass the course. In my imagination, the tutorials would be a tool where the learners themselves can have much more hands-on learning during a Collaborate session."
"We faced outages when the user limit went over a certain number."
"The system can overload when too many try logging in."
"Teams requires a stronger network for joining conversations and meetings."
"There needs to be a robust change management platform that offers training to keep the user community aware of upcoming updates and features."
"The biggest issue is web content."
"Sometimes, extracting the older version of a file takes a few minutes."
"I would like to get less frequent updates from the solution."
"Microsoft Teams could improve the integration with Outlook because most of us are not using the last version of Outlook and it causes some issues."
"The only issue is sometimes, when I share my screen, and there's text on it, the compression can make it very blurry. If Teams could solve this problem so that text remains clear during screen sharing, that would be nice."
"In terms of functionality, I would like to see support for multi-user or multiple windows for the File structure."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"Microsoft Teams comes with a yearly subscription, which is not very expensive."
"The product is expensive."
"My understanding is that there are licensing fees, but I'm not sure how much they might be."
"Pricing is free to a threshold and then after that you have to license per user."
"We are satisfied with the price of this solution."
"The tool's price is high. We purchase Microsoft Office 365 on per user basis and we get support also on that basis."
"I would rate the solution's pricing a nine out of ten."
"I don't think the solution is as expensive as big Webex licenses. It doesn't usually offer one-on-one licenses, so it's hard to compare. It's more expensive than the Google equivalent, but you can't replace Microsoft Teams with Google's offering."

What do you like most about Microsoft Teams?
The most valuable feature of Microsoft Teams for us is the ability to share files from OneDrive seamlessly.
What is your experience regarding pricing and costs for Microsoft Teams?
Regarding the license, the Microsoft 365 license I am taking is quite expensive, and every year it goes higher. The solution is expensive for Microsoft Teams as well.
What needs improvement with Microsoft Teams?
Today, we do not integrate any third-party apps into Microsoft Teams, but we may use project management tools such as Jira in the future. We used to integrate something, but now we do not need it. ...
