Useful in webinars, meetings and online classrooms
One of the features that people enjoy is the whiteboard, providing opportunities for academics to present content and for students to contribute. The platform also allows for the creating of different rooms, enabling large classes to break into smaller groups for discussions. Students can then return to the main classroom to share their opinions. It integrates with LMS.

Have streamlined daily workflow and task management but still face inconvenience from recent interface changes and limited integration options
There are challenges and issues in Microsoft Teams, such as after recent updates where group chats were combined with Teams, chats, and groups into one. Users have to work with settings to make it normal again so Teams are separated from chats, and that was a really inconvenient update. Many users ask me to help make it back again to separate Teams and groups from one-to-one chats. That's probably the worst update they've made recently. Additionally, there are some minor features, such as when I work with messages, I don't have an actual forward or quote option when replying to someone's message. I need to be careful not to miss the quote sign. For a lot of people, they are confused about where the quotes option is. I've received a couple of hundred support tickets just regarding this issue. The function to share email to Teams chat doesn't work sometimes due to our compliance policies, and sometimes it would be nice to be able to forward an email to the group chat and have further discussions. Microsoft Teams could improve by being less glitchy because it glitches a lot, leading to undelivered emails and undelivered messages. It would be beneficial if the MS application Shifts, which adds functionality to groups, could be integrated into the groups calendar. Currently, many teams don't use the app because it is not integrated with the general calendar or the Outlook calendar, making it basically a useless application. The platform needs less Copilot and more people. The general Copilot integration into the platform is less glitchy, but Microsoft Teams is quite heavy and glitchy sometimes. Stability depends a lot on compliance restrictions, policies, and quality of internet. Sometimes, when updates are enrolling, the platform glitches, breaks, or shuts down.

Pros

"One of the features that people enjoy is the whiteboard, providing opportunities for academics to present content and for students to contribute. The platform also allows for the creating of different rooms, enabling large classes to break into smaller groups for discussions. Students can then return to the main classroom to share their opinions. It integrates with LMS."
"The solution allows me to connect and collaborate with my classes."
"Document loading and annotation."
"The software is easy to use, has clear navigation and structure, and is highly customizable from an administrators standpoint (I've administered and used it as a client)."
"It is easy to share files online in real time with Microsoft Teams."
"The most valuable feature of Microsoft Teams for us is the ability to share files from OneDrive seamlessly."
"Teams integrates with a lot of our technologies, especially features like the Teams channels."
"SharePoint is the most important thing of the solution where you can share your data. I am also impressed with the real-time transcript feature."
"All of the solution's features are useful since we use it for saving data, chatting, meeting, and all such purposes."
"The video conferencing is good."
"The tool is simple to use."
"Our company is moving from their Skype for Business to Teams. So I've seen it, I've looked at it, I've used it somewhat enjoyed the UI."

Cons

"The system can overload when too many try logging in."
"If there were maybe more tutorials outside of what I'm aware the university is suggesting, I would take more tutorials on effective ways to deliver content. I come from the industry and content was always needed when people that were observing were smart and involved and decision-makers instead of so passively just trying to pass the course. In my imagination, the tutorials would be a tool where the learners themselves can have much more hands-on learning during a Collaborate session."
"We faced outages when the user limit went over a certain number."
"I wish I could upload assignments from my Android tablet or iPhone, but I guarantee that specific feature is in the works."
"After six months of working with it, I still find the UI a little clunky when it comes to sharing content and moving around between features like the calendar and files."
"The product should improve its pricing."
"It may be a little daunting to learn and is still a tool in development."
"The call quality could be better sometimes. Microsoft could improve the quality of the backgrounds. File sharing could also be smoother. It takes a lot of clicks to download and copy the links. It should be only one click."
"If you talk about the tool's disadvantages, it consists of losing connection. It's also a problem that it only stores information for up to 40 days. The aforementioned areas can be considered for improvement."
"The application's user interface on Google has shortcomings that need to be improved."
"The product should provide a to-do list feature."
"The product should improve its security aspect, scalability, stability, and screen recording. It would be nice if Teams could come up with a feature where I can write chats and send them as mail. It would be also good if Teams could be connected to our application software so that for any doubts that can occur during the training, the operator can resolve them through chats. Hence, they can easily guide and close the issue."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I would rate the solution's pricing a five out of ten."
"It is the standard license which is part of many Office packets."
"It is affordable because it also includes the licenses on Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office and SharePoint."
"The product's pro accounts are cheap."
"If you have content that requires more security and you want to use it in a more secure manner, with more protection, then it will come at a higher cost."
"The solution is priced high."
"If you have clients who do not have a computer and are joining with their phones it's an additional fee of $5.00 per user."
"The challenge with Microsoft's licensing model is that the prices are on the higher side, especially for companies that have more users where spending a lot on licenses may be required."

What do you like most about Microsoft Teams?
The most valuable feature of Microsoft Teams for us is the ability to share files from OneDrive seamlessly.
What is your experience regarding pricing and costs for Microsoft Teams?
Regarding the license, the Microsoft 365 license I am taking is quite expensive, and every year it goes higher. The solution is expensive for Microsoft Teams as well.
What needs improvement with Microsoft Teams?
Today, we do not integrate any third-party apps into Microsoft Teams, but we may use project management tools such as Jira in the future. We used to integrate something, but now we do not need it. ...
