Automation has streamlined client data extraction and has improved reporting for business decisions
I work as a developer, and my manager is responsible for the research and analytics for the project with the client and business users. I am satisfied with BotFarm. I would rate my experience with BotFarm an eight out of ten. I do not see any room for improvement for BotFarm. I am using AI tools such as Amazon, Microsoft Azure, and ChatGPT. I am not using AI-powered bots in BotFarm. I am a partner with Automation Anywhere.

Tungsten RPA features enhanced desktop automation capabilities, improved Active Directory integration, and upgraded recorder functionality. These updates will be available in the upcoming release. Firstly, The first level of support needs enhancement. When you open a ticket with Tungsten, they inquire about various aspects of the issue. The initial support level should involve conducting a Webex meeting to address and assess the reported issues within the environment directly. This would involve thoroughly checking the issues and logs, among other relevant factors. It may require a minor configuration adjustment that could be resolved promptly during the session. There are several challenges associated with Tungsten RPA. Firstly, there is often a perception issue among employees who may believe that RPA is intended to replace their jobs rather than enhance efficiency. This misconception can hinder the adoption of RPA solutions in the workplace, as employees may resist the implementation of automation technologies. Secondly, there have been challenges related to integrating Tungsten RPA with applications built on Java. Many issues have been addressed and resolved in V11.3, thus improving the compatibility of Tungsten RPA with Java-based applications and major challenges.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The best aspect is the UI, as it is very user-friendly."
"The solution is easy to use and easy to apply."
"The most valuable features are the portals for extracting data from PDF files, appending data to SAP, automating the SAP, downloading reports, and mapping and creating the reports accordingly to your requirements."
"BotFarm has been working perfectly fine with our business model. Its scalability is the most valuable feature. We can easily scale out bots on a need basis. Portability is another valuable feature. We work with different payment systems like Visa and MasterCard and have bots for them. Because of BotFarm, we are able to reuse these bots."
"The most valuable feature of BotFarm is the fact that we can use escalations when we need more computer power to fulfill all embargo that we receive in one day."
"The most valuable features I have found to be the screen scraping and the integration with third-party solutions."
"From a solution standpoint, screen capture and tight integration with Outlook are valuable features."
"The solution is very stable. We don't have issues with bugs or glitches."
"The most valuable feature is the robotic process."
"The tool's most valuable feature is web browser automation, which makes it easy to interact with any website. We can assemble a robot in a few hours with web automation, depending on its complexity."
"The ability to script information from websites is most valuable. It also seems to be fairly robust and reasonably easy to manage on a server-based deployment. We have a number of robots operating on the central server."
"The drag and drop functionality is quite good."
"Kofax RPA's best feature is its high success percentage in picking up information from documents, especially where the DPI is really low."
"The product saves time and resources."
"The OCR was quite stable and flexible."
"The solution is scalable."

Cons

"The solution doesn't have support like they used to. They need support. We have personnel of our own, but sometimes we need assistance beyond our own team."
"I would like to be able to access BotForm using a mobile app."
"The discovery suite that they just acquired could be included."
"The CL command poses an issue during the process of data conversion, accuracy, data loss and the assessment of certain data as false."
"The image processing capabilities definitely need to be improved."
"Sometimes I feel like it doesn't work properly and we are not able to provide the dexterity needed."
"I would like to have access to self-service support."
"One aspect that can be improved is the accessibility of reusable components for developers. It relates to role-based access and accessibility."
"Automating systems based on Citrix, where using AI or OCR-based capture of a screen, presents challenges."
"Kofax RPA's UI could be more user-friendly."
"The scalability has room for improvement."
"The process discovery could be a bit better."
"It needs a free training portal for anybody on the internet to use so that they can get an idea of what the possibilities are."
"I would like to see them further enhance the OCR, specifically in the multi-language support."
"The product should improve desktop automation, which is hard to configure. It needs to have custom connectors. It is the only advantage that Microsoft Power Platform has over Kofax RPA. It has more than 800 custom connectors."
"RPA technology is constantly changing, and sometimes Kofax lags behind."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The starter price is free."
"We pay approximately $15,000 USD per year."
"Automation Anywhere is more reasonable than Blue Prism and UiPath in terms of cost."
"The pricing model could be simplified."
"We are on an annual license for the solution and is priced well."
"The product is slightly expensive"
"Pricing for this solution can be better."
"The licensing is on a monthly basis."
"Its pricing is reasonable given the product capabilities. Kofax has a wide range of products, and it can sometimes be confusing to understand which capabilities come with which product set. One of the key facets that we've been looking into recently is cognitive document recognition that was a core pile of some of their other technologies such as Kofax transformation modules (KTM)."
"Kofax RPA's licensing costs are yearly and expensive."
"The cost depends on the number of licenses and the number of RPAs."
"I give the price of the solution a six out of ten."
"The solution’s license is not expensive."
"Price is not a problem, because they are a competitor and we have a special rate."
"I don't have complete insight at this point in time, but I would guess that Kofax is a lot less expensive than Automation Anywhere. I would expect its license to be on a yearly basis."
"The pricing model for automation solutions like Automation Anywhere, UiPath, and Microsoft Power Platform is subscription-based, where costs are calculated based on factors such as the number of hours used and the scale of automation required.......With Kofax, you purchase a license upfront, and that's all you need. You can create as many automation workflows as you require without additional costs for individual use cases."
