Team collaboration has improved through shared access and real-time synchronization
I find the synchronization feature most valuable in Box. When I use multiple devices, it syncs them together and gives excellent results. I can assess the benefits of Box's file sharing. Box's integration with third-party apps is valuable, especially with Outlook. Box has helped my team's productivity by being very helpful with team collaboration when we are sharing certain shared documents between us. I mostly value Box's automation capabilities. They have helped optimize my business processes by saving time for sharing or sending files between the team. This gives us a shared workspace to work together on the same document or the same ideas. Box's security features have helped my organization meet compliance needs.

A SaaS solution that improves efficiency and helps to save time
The tool helps with hidden cloud storage. We can build security practices according to our needs. It is reactive rather than proactive.  The solution must conduct extensive research, build a product based on compression and OCR techniques, and improve scalability.  I have been using the product…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Governance and ease of use are why I think a lot of people like Box, including ourselves. Basically, we're concerned about what information is being sent to Box, so we use a lot of the Box governance features to make sure that what is being sent to Box is appropriate. If it is not appropriate, it is not allowed to be sent. It is also pretty easy to use. It is the easiest to use for customers and for technologists."
"The collaboration of the solution is good."
"The sharing feature, with its various permission settings, such as viewing or uploading, is convenient and helpful."
"Box is very realistic when it comes to sharing capabilities."
"I like the ease of use."
"Some units have migrated their content and processes from on premises storage to Box, saving money and time, and putting the power of collaboration into the hands of the users instead of requiring admin intervention."
"It is a very user-friendly product."
"Box is very user-friendly; more so than SharePoint."
"The tool helps with hidden cloud storage. We can build security practices according to our needs. It is reactive rather than proactive."

Cons

"Better integration with other solutions is needed."
"Technical support has some room for improvement, but nothing insurmountable."
"The security settings are such that if I have a folder with subfolders several levels deep, whatever security setting I have for the parent folder gets inherited at all the subfolders. This has been limiting."
"I would love to see the ability to invite collaborators extended to a file level, not just the folder level."
"Tasks and comments could be easier to see, report, search, and manage."
"I haven't really come across a case where we're not able to use it for what it is, so I don't really have anything holding us up or any customers holding us up at this point that I know of. There are always some limitations, but as a technologist, I just live with them, and there is always room for improvement, but I don't have anything quantifiable."
"The solution's data security should be improved."
"In future releases, there could be encryption, to have better security."
"The solution must conduct extensive research, build a product based on compression and OCR techniques, and improve scalability."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"It is expensive per head, as you need the enterprise license to get full security and tools. So negotiate a discount!"
"My organization pays for the license."
"Box needs to improve with their pricing in terms of licensing costs."
"I have to pay for Box. It could be a little cheaper. On a scale from one to ten, I would give the pricing a five."
"Our pricing and licensing is excellent. I'd tell all Higher Ed customers to talk with Internet2 for excellent pricing and support."
"They are very price competitive when pushed. Initially, they come out with a standard list price, but they are willing to be very competitive. The Box price was pretty much equal to or lower than the Citrix price, and Box has more features."
"I believe Box is cheaper than SharePoint."
"The more you dig, the deeper the level of tools, and the more expensive it becomes."
"Iron Mountain Iron Cloud is expensive."
