I primarily use Cornerstone Performance for performance appraisals, year-end reviews, check-ins, and competency assessments. It's about managers and direct reports, employees meeting and discussing their progress on milestones, etc The tasks themselves, such as the performance reviews and…

PeopleSoft is affordable for existing customers only, not for new customers. The popularity is declining for several reasons. Resources are moving to cloud solutions such as Workday cloud. Even though it is the same Oracle environment, professionals are transitioning due to challenges in availability, scalability, and resource allocation. When there are limited hiring opportunities for a particular technology, professionals must consider switching technologies either internally within their organization or personally. If a project ends and someone is placed on bench without new opportunities, they often need to switch to technologies with more market demand. Currently, resources are frequently moving to other ERP systems such as Workday, SAP, Mulesoft, and Salesforce, as there are numerous ERP systems in the marketplace.

Pros

"If the organization has complex needs that require constant changes based on business changes and has a solid IT department, there might not be a better solution than PeopleSoft."
"I love how easy it is to customize."
"I often say that PeopleSoft's greatest feature is how customizable it is."
"With the way that my agency uses PeopleSoft, the most valuable feature of it is the ability it gives us to track our contracts and the release against those contracts."
"The most valuable features most important to me are the web solution, the web interface, and the integration with other ECM products."
"PeopleSoft is mostly used for payroll and core HR functionality, and some customers use it for its finance module."
"The most valuable feature is IDE."
"I like its wide variety and its use in many applications; receivables, payables, general ledger."

Cons

"The competency assessment is not as flexible as the rest of the solution features. I would like more options for customization."
"The UI and user experience are not great, and it's not as feature-rich as today's systems. Furthermore, our implementation does not include all the components we need, like payroll or some other functions."
"Areas that need improvement are the add-ons to the fluid pages and additional features in SCM and finance, both functionally and technically."
"Having applications which provide more enhanced features and user-friendly elements."
"I wasn't part of the team that originally implemented it, but I was involved in upgrades. I think it was extremely difficult."
"The solution needs to work on its mobile technology. We're hoping in the next version we're working on implementing, 9.2, will have more of this."
"This solution could be improved by lowering the cost of support."
"The UI and appearance of People Soft needs a lot of upgrading and modernization."
