Gained full visibility and streamlined threat detection through behavior-based insights and AI integration
Initially, we got to have a lot of false positives when we onboarded, but nowadays it's quite smooth. We have fine-tuned our security policies and allowed different levels of policies to get rid of those false positives. Currently, we are getting a fairly good amount of incidents that are not false positives or benign, but actionable items. The process is streamlined. In the initial days, the operations used to get involved in a lot of benign and other activities, but now the process is streamlined. We are leveraging the auto-detection and remediation plans. The operations teams are now more involved in other business roles as well, not just looking into the logs and fetching out what's happening there. They have fixed a lot of things. Initially, they didn't have IAC code drift detection, cloud posture management, or security posture management, but they have those now. They purchased different vendors and did a merger with that. They have now Prisma Cloud that gets integrated and now they are working with Cortex Cloud. Everything that was negative has now been addressed, and the product altogether looks to be in a very better and mature shape now. Currently, it's more or less detecting the workloads with AI-based best practices. Since most organizations are consuming AI agents and other things, we are looking forward to seeing what other feature enhancements Palo Alto can support in that.

Effective risk response, easy deployment, and enhanced security
They use Datto EDR as part of the solutions that we supply Datto EDR has helped reduce overall security incident costs by fifteen percent. The ease of deployment has been good, and the responsiveness of the application to risks has been quite effective. The inclusion of web filtering would be…

Our team has strengthened endpoint protection and simplifies centralized security monitoring
While I believe SonicWall Capture Client is a good tool, it has some incompatibility with some applications that is very aggressive sometimes, and in this situation, it needs some fine-tuning, aggressive fine-tuning, or maybe sometimes needs to open a trouble ticket to make a fine-tuning. We experienced sometimes that SonicWall needs to make a patch or something because two times we experienced some incompatibility with some products. For example, we experienced some issues with Splunk, and they made a hotfix quickly to prepare some troubleshooting. I believe SonicWall needs to make more testing regarding the compatibilities with some commercial applications.

"The product’s interface is easy to use."
"Considering other products, SonicWall Capture Client has two differentiators."
"SonicWall Capture Client's scalability is nice."

Cons

"In terms of areas of improvement, we have not completed our review of the product. We're also looking at other products. So, it's a little bit hard to tell what could be different because we have not completed the review of this product, but based on our experience so far, its implementation is quite complex."
"The GUI could be improved."
"A little bit more automation would be nice."
"This is a very costly product."
"On the pricing aspect, Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks needs to have a more reasonable rate, particularly for customers in Sri Lanka and Asian countries."
"While using Cortex, I noticed some aspects that could be improved, such as increasing the synchronization speed between XDR and Xnor."
"To jump from the partner to Palo Alto directly was challenging."
"The solution lags to the real-time scenarios here and there."
"The inclusion of web filtering would be good."
"The deployment of the solution right now is terrible. We find it to be very bad. It could be improved enormously."
"The solution should allow the automation of playbooks."
"The solution could improve by having more deployment methods."
"While I believe SonicWall Capture Client is a good tool, it has some incompatibility with some applications that is very aggressive sometimes, and in this situation, it needs some fine-tuning, aggressive fine-tuning, or maybe sometimes needs to open a trouble ticket to make a fine-tuning."
"The biggest issue with SonicWall Capture Client is network latency."
"It takes technical support too long to resolve an issue."
"The vulnerability reports need to be better. Windows Defender detected some issues that SonicWall Capture Client couldn't."
"SonicWall Capture Client could be made a little lighter than it currently is in terms of memory consumption."
"Occasionally, the Sentinel engine becomes unresponsive, particularly when customers do not properly restart or shutdown their systems."
"An area for improvement in SonicWall Capture Client is TenantCloud support. Suppose you want to implement SonicWall Capture Client. You'll have to register it on MySonicWall. Then once your SonicWall Capture Client license expires and you don't want to renew it, you can't delete it from your MySonicWall account, so that's an area for improvement."
"Technical support from SonicWall has room for improvement. While their escalation process is understandable, it can be time-consuming as all logs need to be provided multiple times across different service levels."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Cortex XDR's pricing is ok."
"Very costly product."
"The price was fine."
"The pricing is okay, although direct support can be expensive."
"I don't have any issues with the pricing. We are satisfied with the price."
"In terms of the cost Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is very expensive because we are a Mexican company and when you translate dollars to pesos the cost is very high. The solution is very expensive for Mexican companies. I understand that they have international prices, but I do not think it offsets the price enough for many companies in countries, such as Mexico. The amount it is reduced is not a massive percentage."
"Cortex XDR by Palo Alto Networks is quite an expensive solution."
"Our customers have expressed that the price is high."
"Datto Endpoint Detection and Response is not an expensive solution."
"There is an annual license to use this solution. The price of the solution can be expensive depending on the company."
"The product is very expensive."
"Here in Indonesia, SonicWall Capture Client costs five hundred thousand rupiahs for every endpoint. If I'm correct, you only have to pay the licensing fee, and there's no additional fee. To me, the pricing for SonicWall Capture Client is four out of five."
"You have to pay for the solution, and a lot of customers do not want to pay."
