Streamlined data management reduces workload and costs significantly for the team
We are planning to use Rubrik Go's AI-powered insights for predictive analytics, but have not implemented this yet. I cannot provide updates on Rubrik Go's capability to automate data management tasks because I have not used that feature yet. Rubrik Go's integration capabilities with cloud providers have benefited my multi-cloud environment significantly. Rubrik Go's subscription model has helped me align my data protection investments, which is a good option as I am one of the customers who have deployed this subscription option. I am definitely satisfied with the licensing model as it is very simplified and easy to understand. On a scale of 1-10, I rate Rubrik Go a 9.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"One of the most valuable features is it is available on the cloud, so I do not need to make a firewall. Second, the backup speed is outstanding. The third thing is that the section policy is very good and gives you a lot of flexibility and granularity regarding what you need to back up."
"We get control over authentication policies and create an agentless backup by generating a token for that."
"It is simple to implement and use. It's very flexible."
"The main benefit of this solution is that it automatically scans the files for ransomware after the backup is complete."
"Druva inSync's automation has reduced manual intervention in my data management processes."
"If you are looking for a backup solution, go with Druva because it's quite simple."
"It's incredibly fast."
"All the data is well encrypted. In addition, the data is split into pieces so that if an endpoint is attacked or compromised with any kind of ransomware, the compromised machine can be relocated or restored. All the data that was previously backed up can be restored from the cloud. It has a lot of security features. Druva currently offers only the cloud version on AWS. Being a cloud solution, Druva goes by a lot of security compliances and provides a security portfolio. People are very skeptical of the data security in cloud solutions, and Druva has given consideration to that. It has some good geo-location features. If a machine is lost, when the machine is switched on and connected to the internet, that machine can be geo-located and tracked. It also has got the geo-wipeout feature. If someone tries to take out the data from a lost machine, they won't be able to do that. The moment an IT admin comes to know that the machine is no longer with a user, he or she can auto-run the geo-wipeout feature so that the data cannot be read by any third party. Duality replication is a unique thing about this solution. Everybody's data is not backed up if the data is common. Similar data is not backed up from other machines. The data backup also happens very smoothly. The bandwidth choking is very less. When the data is getting backed up, the users do not even get to know. There is no impact even when the users are not using high-speed bandwidth."
"Even though the data is already in the cloud, it's an AWS, so by accessing the on-prem appliance you can still search because it is indexed from that appliance."
"The solution's main focus is on security and ransomware."
"In terms of stability, the product is good."
"We use the solution as a backup for our virtual environment and SQL databases."
"Rubrik Go is very simple to use."
"The most valuable feature is the storage efficiency, as the storage footprint is very good."
"The solution's most valuable feature is Sensitive Data Discovery."
"This product has positively impacted my organization because in the legacy tool, we used to have significant workload and significant people to be deployed, in this case, we have very minimal requirements."

Cons

"The one area that needs to improve is the pricing."
"The support team generally needs to be more proactive with technical and general suggestions."
"One functionality I would like is the ability to manage multiple Office 365 tenants from a single console."
"This solution would benefit from the inclusion of an on-premise backup feature, as currently, they are offering everything in the cloud."
"To make Druva inSync better, they can implement additional DLP."
"I would like to see security improved in the next release."
"I have faced some challenges with these integrations."
"The product needs to improve its support."
"The solution’s pricing could be reduced."
"Rubrik Go's security visibility could be improved."
"I would like to see better integration with applications, such as those from Microsoft, to make backing up from those applications simpler."
"If you're going for Rubrik, you are not opting for the tape library because Rubrik doesn't have the fiber cable connected to the tape library."
"The AWS backups could be improved."
"The tool's pricing needs to be improved."
"Reporting could be improved. For now, it's only exported to CSB files."
"If you were to compare it to, say, EMC, the availability of the documentation, training programs, and end-user education aren't as good. Rubrik could improve this."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I would rate the pricing a seven out of ten, with one being very cheap and ten being very expensive."
"The pricing is thirty-five dollars per year or three dollars per month per user."
"The product is fairly priced, I would rate its pricing five out of ten."
"Once you decide to go with this product the cost can be worked out with the vendor."
"Out of all the solutions we evaluated, Druva inSync was the most affordable."
"It is an expensive product for the middle class or SMB customers in India. A lot of top-level big companies also cannot afford this solution. During the license period, one can download the entire data from the cloud without paying any additional cost. This way the data can be easily recreated from the stored data when a machine is lost or the data is compromised."
"The price is quite good, It's approximately $4000.00 per user for one year."
"The pricing of Druva inSync is very high as compared to other cloud backup solutions."
"This is a very costly solution."
"Rubrik Go is more cost-effective than similar solutions by other vendors."
"I would rate the product's pricing a seven out of ten. The solution's costs are monthly."
"The solution is reasonably priced."
"The client pays for the solution depending on what they use."
"On a scale from one to ten, where one is expensive and ten is cheap, I rate the solution's pricing a three out of ten."
"It's an expensive product if you compare it to traditional backup solutions; however, if you compare it as a total cost of ownership for a solution, it is not."
"Rubrick Go is quite expensive - I would rate its pricing four out of ten."
