Everything has worked better since we started using it
Sometimes the syncing is inconsistent. I'm confident that the devices are checking in every eight hours, but sometimes the devices aren't picking up the settings as quickly as I would expect. Some features haven't been updated in a while, and Microsoft doesn't seem interested in developing them. Unless you talk to an engineer, you don't know whether there will be an update. There are communication issues, so you might start working with a feature without knowing if it will be deprecated six months from now. Some reporting areas still need development. For example, I noticed that the reporting for driver updates is still confusing.

Has the ability to change the way that the client works to a service so that we can get a little bit deeper into the operating system
The ability to change the way that the client works to a service so that we can get a little bit deeper into the operating system, as opposed to just an app running is the most valuable aspect. We also like the unattended sessions. Those are probably the two most important things to us. It's important because we can't do certain things when it is just an application running. We have to have it run as a service with the computer so that we can do certain things and use certain functions. As far as the unattended session is concerned, we're able to connect to people's computers without them actually doing anything. We're able to connect to servers and other systems when there's nobody there.

Accessing the same desktop experience from anywhere but user template creation needs improvement
Mostly we are quite happy with it. However, some of us want a more powerful desktop. When not present, we use a remote tool called Splashtop, which is a good solution for some users. We have about ten licenses for those who need a powerful workstation at the office. We have not used many different tools. We are never in contact with Microsoft. These are quite basic configurations, to be honest. It's not complicated. AI is coming to or is already in some applications we are using. Not system-wise, however, it might be good. I'd rate the solution seven out of ten. It's quite good, yet certainly not perfect.

Pros

"Intune enables us to manage our devices from anywhere."
"The core management feature in Intune is invaluable to us, especially considering the challenges we often face with System Center when pushing external updates."
"I like Intune's ability to manage roles, maintenance tasks, compliance settings, and patch development for all endpoints."
"The automatic patching is the most valuable feature of Intune."
"Intune device restriction policies enable me to enforce limitations on the device, like blocking the mobile camera or restricting the employees from using and inserting USB devices, including thumb drives and flash drives."
"It is very easy for me to configure all the things. Once I create policies and applications in Intune, it is very easy for us to enroll users."
"The biggest asset is the range of device management options available with Intune, whether it is a Windows device, a Linux device, a Mac device, or mobile devices."

"The solution is easy to deploy and there are many features available that you can turn on or off depending on your budget."
"Things can be made easier if someone is not with us or at a long distance since we can connect easily with those people. So, it's easy for us to use such features."
"It's largely stable."
"The most valuable feature is performance."
"The most valuable features are availability and security."
"Installing Microsoft Desktop Services is straightforward."
"The most valuable features of Microsoft Remote Desktop Services are unification, central management, and accessibility."
"The solution is user-friendly and has a good user experience."

Cons

"There is room for improvement in integrating additional features such as Purview and SharePoint activities into Intune."
"I also hope the cost of Remote Help will decrease because it's a much-needed Intune function."
"It's the granularity: 'Is your firewall on? Is BitLocker on?' It's not amazing granularity. But I've looked into other products, like Duo, and they're all similar."
"Deploying an app can be a complex process due to dependencies."
"In an upcoming release, I would like to see some kind of analytics report."
"Intune's reporting and logging could be improved. When troubleshooting, it's difficult to collect the logs and determine what's happening. If I want to filter out the compliant devices, I can see it from the logs, but I would like the option to drill down further."
"A new Intune feature allows application packaging, but it incurs additional licensing costs for a significant number of applications."
"The backend of Microsoft Intune needs to be improved. We have seen a little bit of delay as compared to other MDM solutions. That needs to be improved. A little bit more granularity should also be added"
"If they included some sort of monitoring system for managed services so we can have it all in one package, that would be helpful. There are managed services solutions that allow us to remote into the computers, but a lot of them have too much overhead. Usually, the remote connection is not as simple and as fast and cannot be run as a service."
"Microsoft Remote Desktop Services needs to improve its security."
"We'd like, in the future, if it would work with Linux or Unix-based operating systems or even Mac."
"The solution is unsuitable for direct external internet connections. You must set up a VPN and password handling to use it."
"The price is too high."
"We had some instability during the implementation process. This has since been resolved."
"Updates sometimes impact the application and we have system crashes."
"Users have to re-enter their ID and password every time they log on, which is tedious and repetitive."
"Microsoft Remote Desktop Services is only available for the professional version of the Windows operating system. This restricts a lot of users. The feature should be available for all versions."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Microsoft's licensing is more flexible and adaptive than its competitors."
"I liked the tool's pricing until P2 came into effect. I am unsure about the current value versus the cost of the new licensing model."
"While Microsoft Intune boasts a wide range of features, its user-friendliness and bundled licensing cost are key considerations for me."
"It is reasonable. When you have Microsoft 365 E3 or E5 license, it is already licensed in that license. So, you could say it is free."
"Licensing depends on how you are providing support to your enterprise, whether it's device-based or user-based."
"I am satisfied with the pricing."
"Microsoft Intune is moderately priced. There is a monthly license required to use the solution and it is approximately eight dollars per month."
"Its licensing model is not complex, but it is very expensive compared to other solutions. They can bring more models and reduce the pricing. They should allow customers to select the features they want and price it accordingly."
"It's very inexpensive. The seats are $25 monthly apiece or something. There aren't additional costs that I'm aware of."
"Microsoft Remote Desktop Services is less expensive than some other solutions on the market."
"The solution comes free with Microsoft Windows."
"Its licensing is on a yearly basis. We're on the educational or academic license, and our terms are good. We're very happy with the pricing."
"Microsoft Remote Desktop Services comes free as part of Microsoft Windows."
"I recall that you don't need to pay for Microsoft Remote Desktop Services because that's included in Windows."
"There is a licensing cost."
"The solution is overly expensive."
"It will probably cost about $500 USD to get the resources set up in the cloud."
