Software replication to remote sites during disaster recovery?

We have recently implemented Zerto as a disaster recovery solution. Not only does it replicated, it allows you to created boot orders for the VM's. This means you can have your SQL server start and set an automatic delay for the applications servers. It can also be configured to bring a failover test up on an isolated network for DR testing. It can also replicate between different hypervisors. For example, you can replicated from VMware to Hyper-V or AWS. They are adding more hypervisors with newer released.

The best features of HPE Zerto Software are mainly very sophisticated and relevant to the current market. The data protection CDP part has real-time replication, unlike other solutions that have snapshot backups. We can set it up hourly, making it ideal for use with workloads. Another attraction is the near-zero RTO, with automated failover within minutes and one-click failover and failback. Currently, we are using a hybrid cloud solution, and HPE Zerto Software supports multi-cloud environments, making it easy to migrate between on-premises and cloud. Regarding the impact of HPE Zerto Software on our RTOs, we have near-zero RTO, meaning the system must be back online within thirty minutes if we measure the time. It is very quick to recover services. With HPE Zerto Software's near-synchronous replication, we have some CDP protection, so we typically write interceptions along with some asynchronous replication. There is almost real-time replication available.

Reliable and efficient for our data backup needs

I would rate the easiness of the initial setup as an eight out of ten. During our initial setup of Quest Rapid Recovery, we encountered some smaller issues, mainly related to version compatibility and system changes. Setting up Quest Rapid Recovery was quick and done within a day. We started by ensuring the required prerequisites were in place. One server was dedicated to Rapid Recovery, and another acted as a proxy for communication. After installing the Rapid Recovery client on both servers and establishing communication, we configured settings and set up a backup schedule, deciding on file-level or full backups as needed. The process was straightforward, making the deployment efficient and completed within a day. One person with the right skills is all it takes for the deployment.

So does that mean you want to have a Disaster Recovery solution where data is not on site your bunker site? but yet allows for a fast recovery in case your primary site is down? - What virtualization solution do you use? - What is the link between the 2 (?) sites? - What RPO and RTO are you aiming for? - How much data do you need to recover?
