Has supported marketing and sales alignment while leaving room for better customization options
I have recommendations for making it easier to customize. I used to work in a tech company, so it's very easy to do that in-house, and our team did that. It's not easy to customize for a regular user though. In the world of generative AI where it's easy for you to connect different tools, APIs, etc., HubSpot Marketing Hub still requires some customization. For example, if you want to make sure it's connected with a custom CRM or some other CRM, there is some fair bit of modification that's required. Some main differences in my experience between HubSpot Marketing Hub and Salesforce are that Salesforce is a bit un-user-friendly. I have to be fair, I haven't used Salesforce too much, but I think HubSpot Marketing Hub is much more user-friendly.

Unified journeys have boosted personalization and collaboration but advanced analytics still need work
I would like to highlight some information that could make Iterable even better, which I discovered during my tenure with Iterable. For example, more out-of-the-box advanced analytics and attribution views would strengthen its appeal to users. Second, additional guided templates for complex lifecycle journeys would be beneficial to avoid overwhelming users with too much complexity or tactics. Lastly, continued investment in performance optimizations for large-scale workflows is essential. It is crucial to focus on mid to large organization scales and serious lifecycle marketing personalization for customer engagement. If these points are addressed, it could help many users like me and others look forward to a better platform. Iterable challenges I have faced include a steep learning curve for advanced use cases; basic campaigns are easy to launch, but advanced and personalized campaigns or event-based logic take considerable time, which is a challenge for new users. Another challenge is reporting and analytics at a deeper level; while the reporting is good, deeper analysis often necessitates exporting data or integrating with BI tools. Lastly, I have noticed that UI performance can lag with very complex journeys, especially in highly branched workflows, leading to a heavy interface that can slow down the loading times.

"Iterable allows us to trigger SMS messages through Twilio based on real-time user events such as abandoned actions, incomplete transactions, account or subscription changes, inactivity or re-engagement milestones."
"Iterable has positively impacted my organization, as it enhanced campaign execution speed, increased engagement and conversion rates through personalization, reduced our dependency on engineering for routine campaign changes, and improved collaboration between marketing and technical teams."
"Iterable saves our time and has better customer relationship benefits, making a very good relationship with our customers because once we have already created the workflow, client communication has been automatically done and our work, work pressure, and work stress have been reduced, creating a very good impact on a better work environment."
"Iterable has positively impacted my organization by helping us market our services and reach out to a larger number of clients, which helps us improve our services and understand how large our customer base is."

Cons

"API capabilities (including the performance) are minimal and the email workflow capabilities are too rigid, which results in very complicated workflow management."
"The tool could concentrate on improving the analytics and the overall user experience with AI."
"Some customized reachouts might need additional levers or add-ons, especially when automating at scale for specific buying personas. That's when you might need some additional help, in my opinion."
"The solution does not enable one to know with certainty if another opened an email he had sent."
"One thing I'd like to see added is better link tracking. I want to see traffic coming to links I embed in my emails, whether from social media, email, or ads. This would help me understand how many visitors come to my website from different channels."

"Increase the CRM size for sole proprietors before increasing the fee."

"Although the platform is powerful, advanced use cases require a learning curve and deeper analytics and performance optimization at scale could further enhance its value."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We are on an annual license for this solution. There have many different versions to meet the needs of their customers, such as professional enterprise and basic versions. They charge for the particular feature or components which are available in the license you have."
"I believe an individual license costs $50 per month."
"The platform itself will typically cost anywhere from $50,000 to $80,000 per year."
"At present, the pricing seems reasonable, but with our plans to scale, I anticipate that it could become a bit steep."
"Regarding pricing and licensing, I haven't directly handled it, but I assume Zoho might be cheaper. However, I would still prefer HubSpot due to its cleaner and more user-friendly interface."
"Have sufficient content before signing up for the 30-day trial."
"HubSpot Marketing Hub is less expensive than one of its competitors."
"HubSpot Marketing Hub's pricing is reasonable. It is about 800-900 dollars a month. It may be pricey for smaller clients, but for the bigger ones, it's only a small part of their monthly revenue."
