Fast in-app surveys have improved how we collect and focus on user feedback for our job platform
The best features Instabug offers are that it is very easy to obtain immediate feedback. The immediate feedback feature for my app is very simple to use, which helps my team and users focus on the target and focus on a different objective. Instabug has impacted my organization positively because it is very simple to use, and I can find in a short time the feedback I need to work on a specific target.

Splunk requires significantly more improvements compared to Splunk AppDynamics, specifically regarding the licensing aspect. Splunk renews licenses every six months, which is inconvenient. It would be better to have a one-year license to avoid needing to update keys constantly, which can only occur on weekends, making it a burdensome task. Although Splunk is better for certain use cases, Splunk AppDynamics is broader in functionality. Specifically, I want enhancements related to creating dashboards not only for logs or minor services but also for configuration levels, allowing us to check configurations immediately without manually opening the entire code when exceptions arise—a feature I wish to see improved in Splunk, although it may not be necessary for Splunk AppDynamics.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The best features Instabug offers are that it is very easy to obtain immediate feedback."
"I would rate the stability a nine out of ten."
"The product makes it very easy to reproduce issues."
"We are able to correlate performance between tiers."
"The most valuable feature in this solution, for our business, is the clear way of projecting the connections between the database and the traffic inflow. This is very helpful when troubleshooting issues."
"Technical support is helpful."
"AppDynamics has been stable."
"What I like the most about Splunk AppDynamics is the end-to-end observability for the application, along with traces."
"The most valuable feature is the end-user monitoring."
"The solution is very, very stable. We haven't faced any bugs or glitches on the system."
"One noteworthy feature is user journey analysis, which enables tracking user interactions and conversion paths on a website."

Cons

"The end users were not able to report bugs."
"It would be beneficial if the tool could be more precise in capturing steps, focusing only on the relevant ones. For example, there were some times when it caught some extra screenshots which were not included in the steps. Sometimes, it also happened that it got some extra steps that were not in there to reproduce the bug. We also called that screenshot and the steps there as well."
"It could be more user-friendly for beginners."
"I could not find a user-friendly interface for querying, and analytics sometimes gives the wrong results...I feel that analytics could have been better in searching and running the analytical queries."
"The main concern is the extensions and their documentation, particularly for the installation of Azure app services. It is lacking some documentation, which is why we are always with the AppDynamics team for support to get the details."
"Regarding Search Guard functionality, there is room for improvement."
"The tool is expensive."
"The solution could improve by covering more technologies. For example, it does support .NET Core applications. However, it could be a bit better."
"I install it frequently and sometimes when they fix something they break something else, so better QA is needed to ensure the quality of their fixes."
"There needs to be an option to capture all the sessions for all the users, not just samplings."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"The license for AppDynamics is procured by our customers."
"The pricing needs to come down."
"It would be better if there were more solutions incorporated into the base price. "
"Purchasing the product through the AWS Marketplace was good."
"We have two different licensing models for this solution. One of them is the agent based model, which requires payment per agent. The other is an infrastructure based model, where the price is based on the CPU core. For the infrastructure model wholesale level pricing applies. All of the up to date licensing prices for this product are available on the manufacturers website."
"We buy the platform's yearly subscription."
"We have purchased a few licenses for AppDynamics Database Monitoring and the price is high."
"It's a very expensive product. Each of the licenses after this month for one server is around $9,000 or $10,000."
