Centralized logs and crash insights have streamlined high-pressure production troubleshooting
I already mentioned that it would be great if Instabug works with AI tools for the environment structure and to work with frameworks and other things natively. That would be a great thing to integrate. I don't see other improvements that would justify changes for Instabug. If it does not get attached with upcoming tools and other things that parallelly work with developers, that would be a discontinuation of these features by Instabug or by the developers. It would be great if Instabug introduced AI integrated tool features to individually track for native frameworks where multiple developers and domains are working on that particular section. It would be great if there were a single panel where multiple domains could collaborate together to focus on a single production pressure. Regarding Instabug's AI capabilities, I think everything cannot be pushed into the AI section because when things are in production pressure, somebody needs to take ownership for that. Definitely AI will help, but it should be used according to the structure of things, not completely blindly following rules. Governance and privacy also matter when working with fully automated tools.

Unified monitoring has transformed agriculture training data into secure, actionable insights
The foundational pillars of Splunk AppDynamics are very strong, and we do not have any issues. However, there are standardization challenges with limited visibility on some parameters when the system is integrated with multiple platforms because of differing technology stacks. Many applications function on different technologies, making fetching data difficult. We have discussed this with the business team, and they have said that they will offer a standardized application architecture through which APIs can be made more stable and accommodating. We have also requested a centralized monitoring framework and network, as many clients operate out of India and have requested centralized systems for real-time performance monitoring with just one click. Improvements and enhancements are happening weekly, and there are requests for regular training and orientation. I believe those things can be incorporated, but otherwise, everything is fantastic. For the agriculture ecosystem, there are many areas in remote or rural areas where connectivity constraints are huge. Limited internet bandwidth makes real-time monitoring difficult. We have requested the team to develop a hybrid model for real-time monitoring on lower bandwidth as well. Deploying offline-first or low-bandwidth solutions would strengthen synchronization. Additionally, mobile applications for rural environments would be beneficial. In data quality and governance, sometimes the system gives duplicate records, and there is inconsistency when checking data fields. It is not frequent, but we believe a complete solution can be developed here.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Since the gathering of crash reports is seamless while using Instabug, a more refined product is delivered to final users from the beta to deployment stage."
"With the help of Instabug, we can easily obtain actual beta customer feedback, and customers simply need to shake the phone and they will receive a pop-up where they can share their feedback if they experience anything wrong or want to express appreciation or disappointment."
"Instabug is a quite good, feature-rich mobile observability platform that you can really use."
"I would rate the stability a nine out of ten."
"Instabug has positively impacted my organization by allowing us to have fewer crashes and less bugs, and it enables us to connect with real-time users and get feedback, which leads us to new product goals and prioritization of features coming in the future."
"The best features Instabug offers are very useful, helpful, and informative in the logs of what is happening with the mobile application."
"Instabug provides complete detailed system logs and crash reporting with device information, screenshots, and user feedback in a single workflow, which has significantly improved my visibility into production issues and reduced the time required to identify and resolve them."
"The product makes it very easy to reproduce issues."
"Application Analytics reduces the average time it takes to repair performance problems and improves cooperation between different IT departments."
"Business transaction tracing: It is very good in usability and tool navigation."
"The most valuable feature of AppDynamics is its ability to track the transactions between different applications."
"It gives a complete, end-to-end visualization of an environment, making it easier to analyze any issue in production compared to other APM tools."
"We like the ability to drill down into the method level to identify where the real issue is, as other tools just show the slowness at the transaction level only."
"The customer service and support are helpful and responsive."
"APM gives us easier troubleshooting and notification of issues, and we can report off of that data to show application performance improvements over time."
"It gives me the ability to trace logs between transactions, for example, a DB transaction or JVM transaction from one hub to the other, so I can easily find out where the problem is or where the bottleneck of the issues lies."

Cons

"Instabug can be improved in a way that while delivering the crash reports and bugs, if they can provide a way for us to share our codebase with them, we could get more detailed information about where exactly a particular crash is located or on which screen the crash is happening for most users."
"If it does not get attached with upcoming tools and other things that parallelly work with developers, that would be a discontinuation of these features by Instabug or by the developers."
"The end users were not able to report bugs."
"Sometimes the reporting with Instabug is a bit delayed, and that can be improved."
"Sometimes the crash reports come with a delay."
"It would be beneficial if the tool could be more precise in capturing steps, focusing only on the relevant ones. For example, there were some times when it caught some extra screenshots which were not included in the steps. Sometimes, it also happened that it got some extra steps that were not in there to reproduce the bug. We also called that screenshot and the steps there as well."
"My company has recently stopped using Instabug because of the pricing; it was really expensive for my company."
"I would think Splunk AppDynamics could do a better job in creating out-of-box dashboards for Kubernetes-based cloud applications."
"AppDynamics Server Monitoring lacks investment in new technologies like Kubernetes and cloud solutions."
"Installation and configuration can be very tough. An average user without specialized knowledge can't do this. You need to have DevOps and QA teams handle it. During installation, a lot of customers get stuck trying to track the database or the API part, and they have to contact customer support."
"Charting is cumbersome; inability to do decimal fraction arithmetic in expressions (for alerts), so everything has to be done in % rather than as natural fractions."
"It's a very expensive product. Each of the licenses after this month for one server is around $9,000 or $10,000."
"Part of it is support for more modern languages. Node is lagging behind."
"We are having a problem where one of our tenants has had issues with availability over the past two months. There is a lot of downtime for the SaaS tenant."
"The price of the solution could improve."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"There is a license for the solution and we paid approximately $2,000. There is also an additional cost above the standard license which cost us approximately $3,000."
"It's a very expensive product. Each of the licenses after this month for one server is around $9,000 or $10,000."
"We find its pricing reasonable and competitive. After it was acquired by Cisco, we found it acceptable."
"I was not involved with the procurement of AppDynamic, but I believe it's expensive."
"We have purchased a few licenses for AppDynamics Database Monitoring and the price is high."
"AppDynamics offers a yearly basis license."
"AppDynamics is what I would consider an enterprise-level solution. This means that it's a solution that is intended for use by larger organizations, while small or medium-sized businesses may find it difficult to afford. The number of agents required will also impact the pricing, and smaller companies may only be able to afford a limited number of agents. Essentially, the cost of the solution is not within the reach of every organization, and only some may be able to afford it."
"AppDynamics Database Monitoring is expensive. I rate it a seven to eight out of ten."
