Cloud security has improved remote access and has reduced costs for smaller client sites
I have used Cloudflare One's Identity-Aware Proxy, and it is quite straightforward from what I have seen so far. The app registration on the Azure side integrates fully into Cloudflare, and I am very satisfied with that part because it is easy to set up. The integration of Cloudflare One's Secure Web Gateway and Zero Trust Network Access works without any issues. That part is pretty automatic, and if you complete the rest of the setup, it comes together by itself with no issues from my side. What makes it nice is that we can actually start replacing on-site firewalls at this stage for the smaller clients because it does not matter if they go to a coffee shop or work from home; they are still secured by the same connection. The hops get shorter and you get better latency. We have done testing to see if it is better. One thing that we did notice with our proof of concept with our current client is that they have people connecting from the UK. When they used their previous VPN solution, uploading CAD drawings and other files to the server took a long time. They mentioned that it is much quicker on Cloudflare One's solution. I definitely believe that is part of the improved performance, and I am satisfied with that as well. What is nice about Cloudflare One is that it makes the setup easier and also easier to train technicians to maintain it. Compared to legacy systems, we do not need to get fancy firewalls in place that are costly. That is definitely also a cost-saver with Cloudflare One.

Helpful support, and useful dashboards
They offer a feature called SmartLink neutralization. I have tried it before. It seemed to work most of the time; however, I had a few users for whom it just wouldn't work. Whenever they click on a link, it stays on the MetaDefender page, saying that it's scanning it and never moves forward. I haven't tried it in a while since then. Since I can't turn it off on a per-user basis, I had to turn it off globally. I have certain exceptions for not doing the sanitization, and how to set those up is not intuitive. It would be useful if there were a better way of doing that. Using digital certificates is hard. It would be better if it used Windows Servers' built-in certificate management.

Centralized protection has transformed email security and incident investigations by reducing false positives and improving behavioral threat detection
The challenges include the challenge of finalizing a product that has all the security features or capabilities that are usually required. For example, if there is an EDR platform that's just monitoring IDS signatures, it won't be as beneficial as one with behavioral monitoring and other critical aspects required according to the best practices of the industry. Additionally, if there is a product that can provide a centralized view Trend Vision One does, it really grabs the customer's interest because customers usually don't have to buy separate EDR, XDR, or SIEM solutions or a console for their SOC analyst or email security team. These challenges consist of managing multiple teams and products. Trend Micro Email Security comes in and solves these problems.Trend Micro Email Security is generally a bit more difficult to implement compared to the rest of the solutions such as network security modules or EDR modules, which are much easier. Trend Micro Email Security has some complexities in implementation, but there aren't any significant shortcomings that require Trend Micro to improve.

"The time to answer is a long time. It takes maybe three or four days until we have the answer for a case."

"The areas of Trend Micro Email Security [EOL] that could be improved or enhanced are the reporting side."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price tag is no longer $200,000, but rather $300,000 to $400,000. It's twice."

"The pricing of the solution is cheap. The licensing cost is also very low. I rate the cost and pricing a three out of ten."
"The prices are slightly expensive."
"My company has to make yearly payments towards the licensing costs attached to the solution. There are no hidden charges apart from the licensing costs of the solution."
"The solution is not that expensive."
"According to our customers, the price of MetaDefender is high and it continues to increase by almost 15 percent each year."
"The tool must improve its pricing."
"Price-wise, it is a cheap solution. I rate the solution's pricing a one on a scale of one to ten, where ten is expensive. Annual payments are made for the licensing."
"The cost is about $6,000 for 300 users for one year."
"The price of Trend Micro Email Security is annual. There are no additional fees."
"The price of Trend Micro Email Security is more than Sophos' similar solution."
"The solution is inexpensive so we recommend it to small to mid-sized businesses."
"The price is more accessible compared to some other solutions, like FortiMail. It offers excellent value for the price."
"It is expensive. The cost is per box, and it depends on how big your environment is. Prices range from 11 to 12 dollars for licenses and can fluctuate up and down, but for environments with 4,000 to 5,000 users, it can be between 6 to 8 dollars."
